So, I just got my XBOX on Boxing Day, and this game came free with it! I was playing it last nihgt, and I find it very challenging! Does anybody else have this game?
You start off with 13,000 and you have to buy a car. Finding the right car is also really hard. I have found two good cars to buy as your first car. Peugout 206 is very impressive, but at exactly 13,000, it leaves no money for improvements. For around 11,000 you can buy a Fiat Punto, leaving you with some money to spend in the Parts shop!
So, owners, what was your first car? How good was it? What did you improve? Looking Forward to hearing your experiences!

I won the Stage 2, and I got given a free Cosmo Sport, which I sold for just under 10,000. I can't seem to pass my test, because I'm not very good at these racing games! If I try again, I probably will pass it though. How far have you got? In Quick Battle, I was extremely let down by how.'not-so-good'the Lotus Elise was. I guess it's better at looking good, then performing. Which is your favourite car?

Ah, yes, the drag race. I do like that race alot, but you gotta have a fast car. I mean, one that can do 0-60 in a very short amount of time. Sorry dude, but the Peugout 206 is the car that people's mums drive. It's not for drag racing. The Lotus Elise however...*drools and fantasises*

No, but I have driven it in Quick Battle mode, where you can drive most of the cars. There are better cars than that, but ever since me and Break saw one, sparkling at us, we fell in love with it. The Mercedes is worth a try, it's one of the ones in there, it handles like a beast!

Is it 2 player and do you race against each other? actually thats a pretty stupid question because you probably would lol. I have fallen in love with some of the Jaguars as they look really cool and handle well and but i cant really be bothered to do the races as i find some of them really hard to do!

Well, racing games in my opinion are better to rent out, then to buy. The loose there touch, like this one has. I am thoroughly bored with the game now. It's great looking, and the detail etc is superb, but when kick comes to shove, it's a racing game, and I can only have so much fun with one.

Heh, I don't think I have ever bought a racing game, I got Rage Racer free on PSX, and I got Ridge Racer Type 4 in a competion I won, and Sega GT free with the Xbox. Shows what I think of them

Accidents are funny. I think racing games are better when there is a bit of an alternative theme, or some violence involved. When there is a risk involved in any sport, it's funner. I was playing a quad bike racing game on my Xbox demo disk, the one I got free with XOM:UK, and you could kick other racers off their quads if you got near enough. It made the game a whole lot funner. Mario Kart as well, you had weapons etc. so it was funner. Racing games need more options to them. I do understand though, that Sega GT can't really include these, because it's meant to be realistic, but in some cases realistic is just plain boring. Ah, we'll just have to make do with the Drag Race heh?

I dont know why they gave such good reviews for sega gt as its not that good it was getting like 9/10 scores but thats like what top racing games like gran turismo 3 and the collin mcrae games get and i think i have played a game like that when you can kick people off and i like dirt bike racing games as they are funny because you just go flying on the jumps.

Sega GT got such rave reviews because it is very relaistic, and the graphics are mint. As a racing game, it's superb, all you could ever want, but I like a bit of humour, or a bit of action in all my games, so it doesn't really float my boat.

Well, as the creator, I think this thread is finished. If anyone except Tommy Vercetti has anything useful to say, please post.
In you opinion, and you're not a racing fan, so you should rate racing games...silly!
