Abob watched as "Ryan Schezar of the New Tower Durimil" joined the fellowship. He wasn't so sure he liked the newcomer, since wizards always had a second agenda and many ulterior motives for doing anything.

Ryan was lucky he had not been around in the immediate aftermath of the first fellowship's triumph. As news of the wizard traitor Saruman spread, most wizards went from being generally well liked and welcomed, to despised and hated. Over the years the pain of the destruction that had covered middle earth faded, and the wizards were forgiven. Even though most of Middle Earth had forgiven the wizards, the ancient deeds of the traitor would forever scar their reputations and cast mild suspicion upon them from the wary.

Abob's biased chain of thought was interrupted by Elrond's authoritative voice...

Elrond: "Now that the last of the fellowship members have arrived, let us sit and discuss this fellowships mission."

The members of the fellowship and the Elfish Elders walk into the main council chamber, which was set in the open air in the heart of Rivendale. The floor of the "chamber" was made of stone, and around its edges were arranged stone seats. Each member of the fellowship sits, leaving the Elfish elders to further explain the finer points of this quest...

OOC: Juuthena said I could join...

Ril walked silently in the woods. There were rumors running like wild fire that an orcish company was running around. Some even said they were attacking any traveler they saw. This didn't suprise Ril orcs were stupid, but they were strong, agressive, and had a huge blood lust. As Ril walked he heard a twig snapped. He turned his head violently to say an orcish arrow pointed at his head. He cursed under his breath, this had never happened before. Suddenly a man walked up behind the orc and looked down onto Ril.

?????: You are Delavor, better known as Ril am I correct?

Ril: What business is it of yours who I am, or what my name is?

?????: Ah but its all my business, you are going to do me a favor.

Ril: Why would I do you a favor? A man who travels with orcs is not a pure man. Why do you travel with such beasts?

As Ril said that the orc growlled and pushed the arrow alittle closer to Ril, it was now touching his neck, nearly drawing blood.

?????: Watch what you say, you may learn to regret it ranger. There is a fellowship forming and I want you to stop it before it gets going. They can not achieve their goal. If you fail you shall be killed....

Ril: What happens if I refuse...

?????: That...

The man motioned to the orcs arrow.

Ril: I see.....So let me get this straight you want me to go and kill some humans I assume before they accomplish something that will surely foil your plan...

?????: Elves, humans, and dwarfs....other than that yes basically..

Ril: Great...fine I'll do it....

Ril's mind raced. He had never killed anything besides orcs and food such as deer or rabit. He knew one thing though. He wouldn't start now. He wouldn't kill them...he would warn them.

?????: Very well....then leave. I will be watching you, so don't be foolish.

With that Ril nodded and began running out of the forest.

Winter ran out of the forest into open area, at this time she had lost her map and didn't know where she was. Then she stopped when she saw another man running out to. then she heard it, it sounded like thunder runnning in the woods.

Winter: ORCS! out here?!?

Winter started to run faster, this is where her small bit of elvish influence came in. She was running faster than usual. SHe was running right up along the man, but she didn't like the looks on his face, the man was looking back at her. SHe smiled and raced up ahead and into some trees. The man tried to follow, but lost her. She heard him talking.

Man: those Orcs want me to do their dirty work, this is confuseing.

Winter: (mummbles) yeah...right.

Man: (looks up) who's there?

Ril looked around in the trees before he caught a glint of sun. He quickly grabbed his bow and arrow and pointed it at the spot. His face turned solid. He couldn't believe someone snuck up on him.

Ril: I suggest you come down right now, unless you want an arrow through you....

Winter: What makes you think you're pointing that arrow in the right direction?

Ril: Don't mess with m-....you're part elf arn't you. What are you doing in these parts? What did you here? What did you see?!

Winter: Thats not your business....why were you with those orcs?

Ril: You can answer that question yourself. They want me to stop some fellowship. Like I'm going to do those blood thirsty beasts a favor.....What do you want?

OOC: SOrry for the REALLY bad post...

Winter hopped down behind him, he turned and winter had taken his arrows away. He muttered under his breath and she smiled.

Winter: i'm looking for my friend. But my horse ran away from me, she was to scared to go past the barren area. by the way, my name's winter.

Ril: nice to meet you.

Winter: well aren't you going to tell me yours?

Ril: maybe, if you know anything about thia fellowship.

Winter looked into his eyes, tring to see if his intentions are good, then smiled.

Winter: follow me, the trees around here talk to much.

Ril: fine.

Winter lead him near a lake, she went down a drank from it to refresh herself.

Winter: The trees are deaf to us here.

Ril: really...

Winter: this fellowship you want to know about, is going to start in riverdell, but don't meet them there, they'll suspect too much, ecpecially some of the elves.

Ril: ok...what are they off to do?

Winter: that's one thing i'm not all to sure about, but we're trying to do the same thing, but i'm going at it from a diffrent approach.

Ril: they're looking for your friend too?

Winter nodded then she sat down with her feet in the lake.

Winter: so what's your name?

Ril: my names ril.

Winter: ril, do you know where the orcs were heading?

Ril: you can't go towards them, plus aren't you a little young.

Winter: that's never stopped me before. well, we all have diffrent paths. see-ya.

With that winter walked out of the forest and followed the tracks the orcs made.

Ril sat starring at the lake. He flicked a rock and watched the water ripple.

Ril: The path of one person may affect that path of many...

He sat thinking for a moment then loosened his hilt. He grabbed his bow and knotched it he began running off towards the way Winter went.

He followed her making sure she didn't see him. Suddenly he heard the orcs. He hesitated, the man...he didn't like him. He shook his head and grabbed her shoulder. He ducked as a fist went wizzing above his head. He covered her mouth.

Ril: Shhhh! Its just me...settle down.

Winter looked at him codly.

Ril: Yeah I know you wanna know why I'm coming with you. Well I don't know...but here I am.

She studied him for a second, then realized he was being truthful. She nodded and took a deep breath. He crouched slightly then watched as the orcs came past. He slowly lifted up and took aim. He shot the head orc. He turned towards her and smiled.

Ril: Let the fun begin....

He knotched another arrow and aimed.

She grabed two arrows and put them in her bow and shot them, one got shot through the eye and up the brain, the other hit it in the throat. She smiled, this is fun .

Winter: i'll be right back.

she jumped into the trees to get better shots. SHe started a rapid fire assult on the orcs, it's like the didn't know where they were coming from. then she would move to the next tree, making it seem like there were lots of things shooting at them.

Ril: winter, get down.

Winter didn't notice and kept fireing until somrthing spoted her. she lept down from the tree and put her bow away. then took out her daggers.

Ril: i told you-

Winter: just having fun.

THen she threw a dagger into the head of the orc leader.

"She calls fun, practically getting killed?!" Ril snorted to himself. He then grinned and took out his sword. "I like her attitude." he thought. He stabbed the orc nearest to him in the gut then kicked the orc off his blade he let it sit there wounded. Another orc came charging at him. Ril raised his sword and blocked the steel bearing down on him. He then kicked the orc in the legs making him fall down. While the orc was falling Ril slammed his sword down, sending it straight through the orcs skull. He ducked as another blade was swung at him. He then plunged his sword into another orc. He glanced over at Winter briefly. She was doing fine, she'd just decapitated an orc.

Ril: You know you'd think they'd learn by now they can't take us....

Winter: You would wouldn't you....but these are orcs....

Ril: Good point....

Ril chuckled and slit another orcs neck. Soon the orcs began to scatter. Their leader was killed along with many soldiers. They didn't have a chance and they finally figured it out. Ril whiped his sword in the grass to clean it off. He then went and picked up his arrows out of the dead carcasses. He examined them and any that were in good enough shape he kept, the others he threw back down.

Ril: Well I must admit you are a good fighter...

winter: thanks, trained by the best, forgot it, and relearned my way.

She cleaned her daggers and looked at him.

Winter: you really think i'm good?

ril: sure

Winter: cool. we better get moving again. the fellowship might leave soon, i want to be ahead of them.

ril: why?

Winter: if they found me, they would send me back. elrond wouldn't be pleased.

-------

Elrond rose solemnly, stepping up in the center of the council, ready to announce his decision.

"You will leave for Isenguard. Frodo will be taken there shortly." Elrond announced, gesturing to the Grey Mountains in southeast.

"There is much evil there." Legolas said, eyes narrowing at the peak. "I have been there before."

"You must be unseen. You must move swiftly through the mountains." Galadriel replied.

"Sauron may even be watching us now. He will send spies." Strider added, gesturing with his hands lightly.

"The birds cannot reach the mountains. The winds are too strong fourty leagues south." Ryan stated, his wise voice firm.

"Then it is settled." Abob concluded, rising from his seat. "We leave at dawn."

The others rose as well, clamoring amongst themselves. Suddenly, a scraping, ear-splitting shriek was heard in the air. Everyone's faces grew pale. They hesitated to turn, as a familiar sound in the distance was clear.

"Nasgul!!!!"

winter stopped in her steps, her face filled with anger. ril walked over to her.

Ril: winter. what's wrong?

Winter: listen.

Ril stopped and listened, there was no sound then they heard the loud shreiking.

Winter: black rider, ringwraits, nazgul, whatever you call them.

Ril: how far?

winter: not far, and they're heading towards riverdell...

Ril: how can you tell?

Winter: the trees talk to much. lets move.

Ril: should we go help?

winter looked towards the mountians, and smiled.

Winter: you make the decision... i'll follow you this time.

Fear crept over everyone as the Nazgûl approached Rivendell, some of them flinching. The only ones who seemed to be unaffected by the Fear was Elrond, Galadriel, and Legolas since they had already encountered the Nazgûl many times before. Elsyan drew her sword, even though she knew it would do little good against the immortal wraiths. Everyone else drew their weapons. The Ringwraiths' screams could be heard more clearly as they came closer.

Elrond: "Hear come his spies now," Elrond said ironically.

ooc: sorry for the short post. I have a splitting headache right now.... ><

Ril glanced at Winter then towards Rivendell. He thought for a moment, then clutched his sword.

Ril: The fellowship will not get very far with Nazgul on them already. Besides I've always wanted to see Rivendell...

Ril loosened his sword and began walking. Rivendell. The one place he was afraid of. The one spot of purity, would his impurities shine through? It didn't matter. He had to go to Rivendell. If not to save the fellowship, but to save himself. That man wanted him killing the fellowship, he wasn't going to do that, but he was going to make it look like he was for as long as possible.

Winter: Nazgul on them already...I'm afraid this fellowship will not make it far.

Ril: They may not, but I'm going to help them...

Ril wanted to help them. He wasn't sure why. He could just mind his own business and be safe. But something called him to the fellowship, and he was going to follow it. The two continued walking in silence.

Naromir drew his sword and walked towards the lead of the group. He looked out to the now peaciful Rivendale.

"Raiths are not immortal."

He turned back to the group.

"We will not let the calm Rivendale fall to Mordor's spies."

He looked back at the approaching RingWraiths, and smiled.

"Our first battle is upon us"

Winter walked next to ril in silence, she looked over at him and then stopped.

Winter: we're not going to make it at this pace.

Ril:then we'll run.

Winter: won't work, we need to be faster.

Ril: what then?

Winter smiled to the sound of pounding hooves. Ril looked in the direction of the sound. Her horse came out of the shadows with another bay horse with her. she walked up to her horse and rubbed its forehead.

Winter: katyia is my horse, i guess she didn't leave me after all. Now lets ride fast so we can get there in time, i regret going back, but i hope their understanding.

Ril: right.

Winter got upon her mare and ril upon the bay stallion, they gallopped through the forest, the horses were useing their full ability, then they heard the screaching wraiths, they were really close now. Winter rode ahead of ril and enetered first, she lit her arrow aflame and aimed it at the first ring wriath she saw.

------------

Six Elven guards hurried over to the circle, and stood with Legolas, aiming their arrows carefully at the four wraiths.

"Amun'th ne Hai!" Elrond exclaimed, as the guards prepared to fire.

The others selected a wraith as well, eyes narrowing as they aimed carefully. Luckily, the air was calm that day, no wind to challenge their arrows.

As the wraiths grew closer, Strider, Legolas, Naromir, Abob, and Aratmacil unleashed their arrows, only one striking the creature's wing. One hovered above as two others approached them by land. Suddenly, a piercing scream came from behind. The fourth. Elsyan turned around swiftly, her sword striking the creature's steel. She qucikly turned the sword away, then swung it towards the Nasgul. He blocked immediately, as Aratmacil ran behind her, and struck an arrow at the creature's neck.

a ring wraith started to run around aflame. winters mind was racing, so she launched another. then a ringwraith turned and spotted her. she met it head on as she set it aflamed, now she was in the battle she saw elysan fighting on the other side, her horse reared up and tried to make a distraction.

Winter: hey you black pieces of cloth, come and get me.

Elrond spotted her from above and was furious, but kept his cool and continued to shout commmands. she caought the eye of some of the raiths and they started to come towards her, she turned her horse around and started to find herself surrounded, but knew they were messing with her mind. ril was still fireing from in the forest.

ril: what does she think she's doing?

winter lit three aroows aflame, aimed and fired.

Abob stood, and moved back from the rest of the fellowship. He notched his bow and fired an arrow at the second Nazgul?s horse. The arrow pierced its foul head and the immortal rider and his recently deceased steed plummeted to the ground.

Abob notched his bow again, but this time aimed at the fourth wraith. He had to wait three precious seconds for the two women who were fighting this fearsome beast to move out of the way, and then fired an arrow at the wraith. The wraith, in an act of unimaginable skill, cut the arrow from the air with his sword.

This wasn?t a good decision for any combatant to make, because it left him vulnerable from both of the Elves swords. Aratmacil and Elsyan both struck at the same time, spearing the wraith with each of their swords. The wraith gave a scream, then fell to the ground and writhed in pain.

Abob: ?Elsyan, I?ve heard that these things can be driven away by fire. Is this true??

Elsyan nodded.

Elsyan: "Yes. It's said that Aragorn of the first Fellowship used fire to defend themselves against the Wraiths at Weathertop."

Abob: "Great! That's all I needed to know."

Abob pulled an arrow from his quiver and thrust it into a torch nearby until the tip was alight in flame. He notched the arrow and fired at a wraith that was charging towards Laitina, setting its black cloak on fire. The wraith screamed in pain and ran around, but it bumped into another wraith that Aratmacil and Winter were fighting, causing that Nazgûl to catch on fire. Everyone used this chance to attack the wraiths while they were still in confusion.

With the Wraiths running around on fire, the newly formed fellowship had just defeated its first obstacle of it's hopefully successful quest.

Abob took he opportunity of calling the fellowship together and forming a plan while the Wraiths ran madly around trying to extinguish the fire that consumed them.

Legolas ran down the hill and fetched the only living Nazgul steed. He tethered it to a post in the center of the council chamber.

Naromir gathered up the swords the Wraiths had dropped when they had caught on fire, and hid them in a bush.

Elsyan and Abob placed buckets of water next to the horse, and then the entire fellowship grabbed torches.

The Wraiths fell for the trap. All four of them ran towards the water and put the fires that had been scorching their undead bodies. Then they looked for their swords. They couldn?t find them, and then noticed humans and Elves surrounded them with torches.

Abob: "Never return Wraiths, or I'll find a way to kill you for good."

The wraiths looked at each other, then solemnly piled onto their steed and flew out of Rivendell, cursing fire the entire way...

Winter saw that they had conered the wariths and turned her horse around to head back to the forest. she looked back to see elrond watching her leave. he knew that he couldn't keep her here forever. She walked her horse to ril.

Winter: so, do we go with the fellowship, or go up ahead and wait?

Ril: you're bleeding.

Winter looked down at her arm.

Winter: so i am, it isn't deep. it wasn't done by a nazgul.

Ril nodded.

Winter: so what shall we do?

Ril: why do you ask me?

Winter: because you're older than me, i respect people who are older than me, and i listen to what they have to say because they have lived her longer than i.

The fellowship rode outside Ravendale's gates, their horses swift within the autumn breeze. A few leaves tumbled to the ground, as the fellowship gathered closely together. The horses trotted towards the Misty Mountains, which were but a short distance up ahead. It was a beautiful sight, the crisped tops of mountains silver and grey, dotted with clouds and vast sky. Cries of Wraiths were heard close behind, heading in an opposite direction... Northwest...

"To the Misty Mountains!" Strider exclaimed, firmly holding his sword in hand. "We must move quickly."

They speeded off towards the east, their faces firm, ready for the quest which had been handed down to them. Middle Earth was in their hands, as well as the life of all the people. The mountains would be their first step. The cold winds were nothing compared to what they would face.

Ril watched as the fellowship began moving. He had to make a choice quickly. The human was still out here and if Winter continued to travel with him then she to would be in danger. There were safty in numbers. He thought for a moment longer.

Ril: It seems to me their quest is very dangerouse, and they need as much help as they can get. If so much evil is trying to stop this fellowship then the quest must be important. It must be completed. Lets follow them, and if they accept us. Lets join them, and go where ever there are going...

Winter nodded. Ril sighed. They were headed towards danger already.

Ril: You ready?

Winter: As ready as I'll ever be!

Ril: Then lets get started...

Strider paused and looked to the wood in the east. Legolas stopped as well, his powerful eyes piercing into the brushes. The dark cedars seemed to wind into a bowl, where two riders rode out, just where the sun filtered within the dark. One was familiar, the other new of sight.

"Winter." Laitina called from her white stallion.

Winter nodded in responce, halting her horse as it slowed to a trot.

"The ringwraits. They are close." She said, her face hardening.

Naromir's horse approached the two, his noble eyes staring at the young man. He studied him, seeing no sign of being a spy, despite his weapons which seemed leathal. His eyes were strong, determined. Noromir could tell he was a skilled fighter.

"What is your name? Speak." He asked firmly.

"I am a ranger from Gondor." He replied. "I am known as Ril."

Winter stepped up, and looked up at the fellowship.

"He is a friend of the elves." Winter spoke. "He wishes to join the fellowship."

Elsyan rode to the front, gently looking at the two.

"So it will be then."

"We are on a quest to rescue Frodo Baggins of the shire. Do you know of the one ring?" Laitina asked.

Ril nodded as he solemnly looked into the Misty Mountains.

"Yes."

"Then you know of the Dark Lord Sauron?"

"Yes."

Laitina nodded. Of course he knew. No one in middle earth didn't know about the dark lord or what the ring had done.

"It will be a rough journey." Abob said. "Are you willing to fight and die for middle earth?"

Rev's expression remained unmoved.

"Yes."

winter: we must move out.

Lantina: right, but why are you here. isn't elrond worried.

Winter: no, i said my good-byes to him. plus frodo's my friend too, he would come after me if i were in his position.

Lantina nodded and moved her horse ahead of the group. Winter held up the rear.

OOC: sorry about the short post, i couldn't think of anything else to say.
