Rain
Originally posted by ZeroG214 Lets hope its a good one like 2002.
2002 wasn't that good a year. At least, not in terms of events that happened around the world. Let's hope 2003 is better.
Originally posted by Juuthena Did they charge money for getting in to see it?
As far as I know, they didn't. If Sydney is anything like Perth, you can see fireworks from just about any place in the city. So it wouldn't be much good charging people to see it, when someone can just sit on their roof and watch it *shrugs*
James
Originally posted by ZeroG214 WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!! *explodes* You dare defy the power of the mighty Times Square!? Blasphemy! *cough* Well, you might win this year, its gonna rain here later so yeah.... Next year its no holds bar though.:smirk: Date and Time is now December 31, 2002 6:10pm
Sydney was confirmed as being both the largest and most technologically advanced display in the world. Same as with last year. There were ten major event sites across the Sydney foreshores. By comparision, NYC looked pretty small, I mean...lots of people crowded into one single street with a few measly fireworks and TV screens. :smirk: Heheh, nah, NYC looked like a blast. As did all the other places that celebrated. I still can't find any good shots of NYE in Sydney. The aerial shots on TV were amazing. Oh well. Maybe someone else will come up with something. lol
Delian
Happy New Year everyone New Year's Eve fireworks in Sydney are always the greatest. I didn't think they could do a better job than last year, but I must admit they certainly out did themselves and the peace dove was a great touch and very appropriate. :)
Juu
I just got back from seeing some fireworks downtown. ^^ It wasn't much at all, actually. Well, compared to New York and Sydney.@^^; It was really hard getting through the crowds. Not to mention it was really, really cold. ><
Zidargh
The year 2002 was just a depressing year for me, alot of changes and everything. I know they're good and all, but some of MY changes werent as great as some of you may have experienced. Oh well Happy New Year to everyone who reads this post basically, and I certainly hope 2003 is a great year. Hmm I saw the fireworks and my mum's friend's friends were at Sydney at the show, on the news it was spectacular but I wasjust talking to Juuthena and Alexus_Bing, the New Year has never been a big thing to me for some reason. Oh well, I dont want to spoil for anyone else here, long live the world.
Juu
Hmm... 2002 has actually been my best year so far. Maybe except for my parents separating and all, but other than that, it's been a year definately worth remembering. The only thing I'm upset about is how I keep crying about missing my mom, and how I wish they never divorced this year. It doesn't feel as complete around the house without a mom and dad. Just...dad. But he fills in a few spots, so I don't have to keep my mind on it as often. Whoo...back on subject... I've met some incredible people this year, not to mention find the OB, and a few other websites I really like. ^^ The end of seventh grade was really great, since all of my teachers were so nice that year. I was pretty content with my grades last year too, straight A's which I'm really starting to miss... The summer was really fun, since I met some really great friends there, and got the chance to browse San Francisco a little more than I would've if I never actually went to the YMCA. The beginning of this school year's been fun too. I have great friends, icl and irl. I've survived half a school year, and it's been a pretty fast year. ^_^
SaiyanPrincessX
2002 was a good year for me. I got all my Mummy/Mummy Returns items in 2002!! Well theres more to it than that. I saw alot of really good movies this year, my grandma & grandpa visted from Phoenix over the summer, Tai Kwon Do lessons, and so much more. I hope 2003 is just as good or even better. My Aunt and Uncle and lil cousins are hpefully coming this summer. ^_^
The Harlequin
Hell, I really didn't care. Ravenstorture, Jesus Chicken and I came into the new year lying on The Unholy Newt's trampoline, which is way too small for that kind of thing. With him sitting there playing some really depressing song. We actually didn't find out until his neighbours yelled out Happy New Year to us. Then we checked our watches, and kind of went "Oh. Oh well. Bleh", for a while. I'm certain I was in Raven's arms at the time, so I don't mind. Anna
v_v Why am I so bummed? I didn't have a happy New Year's. Me and Daniel were... I dunno, I was little upset and he was being moody, and I just wasn't at all happy or exctied when the ball dropped--even though it was **pure** pandemonium and chaos in my house. -____-;;; I just wanted to be alone and so I drew away from the party and I didn't cheer back up to where I was for the rest of the night. I hate that, just being totally thrown off course by a tiny bump in the road. Well, anyway, I'm glad everyone else seemed to have a good time. '03 yous guys! PiroMunkie
I cannot say that my New Years Eve was anything too special. i was rather quite the whole night pretty much. I went over to a friends house at around 6:30pm. We had lasagne, and we watched The Animal. She picked it out, not me. I did not really care. It took us about fifteen minutes to pick out a movie. So we watched that, and we watched The Emporer's New Groove. For the first half hour or so I just layed in a fetal position under her bed. The rest of the time of the movie I just walked around her room and kept stealing things, lol. I gave them all back eventaully... or so I thought. I found one of her earrings in my pocket before I went to bed this morning. So I should probably get that back to her some time. After the movie, we went back upstairs and I played around on their computer and she played on thier X-Box, and then New Years came, and we all said "Happy new years", and then I went home and scared the life out of my sister and her friend. Then I went to sleep. Happy news years to anyone that had it.
