[center][i][size=1]Welcome to a world of peace and tranquility, but yet a land of strife and war. Grand and god-like dragons roam the earth, and they are the prime source of transportation. Other mythical creatures roam the earth, even some classics. The land is divided to avoid war. Humans control the grassland, with small creatures underfoot. The ocean for the serpents, towering over the fish. The mountains for the dwarves and the goblins, the main land of war. The lush, green forests, home of the elves, druids, nymphs, and large, sometimes unknown creatures, remaining in peace and harmony. The last is the skies belonging to the dragons, overseeing all below...

But someone wants to disturb the order of the world, suddenly a war broke loose against all forces. The humans' greed charges throughout the land. Not all humans are bad though, there is a small kingdom of Galdion, where there are mostly human forces that fight to retain peace, they stuggle from hunger, lack of forces, and massacres.

A small force has been sent from different areas. They are the destined warriors who will return peace to the world... You control one of these warriors...

Character Background: All relevant stuff is below, rest will unfold during story.
Appearence: A lythanoid is a demon-like creature raised in the bowels of the earth. Six foot tall, but incredibly slender. Bat-like wings, with four arms, each tipped with a set of four claws. The reptillian head is set on an abnormally flexible neck. In fact, a lythanoid's entire body is abnormally flexible. This is because lythanoid's possess no bone structure at all. Instead, the possess specialised muscles, incredibly hard, yet still supple. Thus, while lythanoid's possess the obvious advantages of having no bones, they are unfortunately vulnerable to any piercing kind of damage. If these specialised muscles, called [I]scyeiphs[/I] in the lythanoid's native tongue, are severed, the relevant portion of anatomy seizes up, becoming completely immobile. The scyeiphs however also make lythanoids physically powerful.

When a lythanoid dies, the normal procedure is the complete decay of the body, leaving no trace whatsoever.

Certain alchemists, mages, and athe usual lot of insane scientists have considered the lythanoid's unusual body structure a matter of interest, and have attempted to study them. Lythanoid's being somewhat adverse to this, the normal recourse is to kill the specimen. This however, leads to a limited time for study.

So, a certain alchemist, by the name of Vi Duku, came up with an idea. He captured several lythanoids, and attempted to suck the life out of all of them. He reasoned that, in undeath, and thus domination, the body would not only remain intact, it would also be bidable. To do this, and avoid the slow decay that afflicted the normal zombie, he had each lythanoid bitten by a vampyre. His premise however, was somewhat flawed.

The lythanoid religion is one of darkness. A race of nyctophiles. When a lythanoid dies, the spiritual process is one of return to darkness. They become shadows. Normal, inert, unliving shadows. In the Unlife however, the shadow is alive. And three dimensional. And aware. And less than happy...

Vi Duku assumed he would be able to control Lacroix with an array of necromatic focuses. His pet vampyre however, intervened. Killing Vi Duku, the vampyre sought his chance to escape. Lacroix never heard from him again.

Anyway, Lacroix is an undead lythanoid. What does this mean? Well, he's resistant to physical damage, regenerates, and has a severe problem with any kind of light source. Shadowhood and vampyism do that to a person/lythanoid/living other. To put it bluntly, he can't exist in it. Covered in a specially made robe, he can move around, but he has had quite a few incidents involving sudden delimbing due to a bright torch. The regrowth was incredibly painful....


Beast Name: Alqwerik

Beast Type: [I]Diablos nycto-ophilous[/I] (Shadow/demon serpent).
Description:A tame creature in the lythanoid world, considered a gift from, and an avatar of, their deity, commonly known as the Great Darkness. Of course, it is black. It has large bat like wings similar to a lythanoid's. It is about 10 metres long. It has two clawed feet, set about two metres behind the wings. When on the ground, it walks around bipedally. Serpentine body, far more agile and graceful than any dragon, gryphon, bird, bat, or airborne sloth could hope to match.

[B]Weapon[/B]: Bow and Arrows. His fathers sword that was hand-made by his grandfather. It is unusualy always strong and sharp. The bottom is metal and the blade is elvish steel with markings in elvish. It say's " One day the mighty will rise and end the worl of evil and treachery".

[B]Character Background[/B]: Ryowa was raised by his father and mothers friends most of his life. A war broke out when he was 249. He mother was a nurse in the war and his father was a warrior. He was also a warrior under his fathers command. One night while his mother was nursing soldiers and his father was guarding the fort with other soldiers humans attacked them. They killed all of the elves in the fort including his parents with no mercy. While this was happening Ryowa under his fathers command went to search for the lost men that dissapeared mysteriosly. Then men were sent to gather some medicine herbs for the soldiers. He hates humans because of the grief and anger they caused him by killing his parents...

Race: Foxutar- A half human half fox creature. These creatures ar new to the world and are still evolving. So far they are like centaurs, with a fox's four legs and body and the top torso of a human.

Weapon: The bow and of course elven made arrows. -edit- another weapon of her's is a magic staff that the werewolf leader gave to her. it will only responde to her touch and turn into a sword if need be.

Armor: Fox wear. A durable light armor that can stop arrows, spears, and swords. The armor might even be better than the elf's armor but that is unknown.

Info: Ravwrin is a black Foxutar. She is exactly 4' 11" tall and her tail seems twice as big. Her parents were killed by a gryphon when she was young. She was raised by werewolves, which only brought her in because she had charmed the leader of the pack by how helpless she looked. She was taught how to shoot and to protect herself from many things and befreinded a dryphon(part dragon, part bird). Since Ravwrin is so small she can ride on the back of her friend, and they are so close that they can talk to each other telapathicly.

App.: She stands 4' 11" tall. Her fox half is raven black and her hair is also that color. Her eyes chnge color with her mood. She normally wears over the top half a werewolf made cloth to cover her chest. the rest of the time her armor.

Desription: A very large half bird half dragon creature. Rouk is female and wears body armor constantly. She fights with tooth and claw though.

[center]Powerful armor that has served Axel since a child, it literally grows with him. It is called the Tri-Plate Guardian because of the pattern of sharp, pointed triangles that make it up.
His Fusion Swords are two long swords that screw together at their hilts and are carried as a staff. They allow for variation.[/i][/center]
[b]Background:[/b]
[center][i]He was abandoned by a poor family as an infant. He was taken in by the nearby forest of elves. As he grew, he was adapted to their culture, their enemies, and their friends. He was found under the star of the dragon god of war, so he was destined to be a valiant warrior. The elvish monks realized this and gave him a small sword at the age of eight.

After several long years of training with various weapons he was found, as promised by the stars, a great child prodigy. At the age of fourteen, he left the forest to pursue his dream to become a warrior of grand proportions. He wandered for two years, and with the help of many friends, he arrived in the mountain region of the dwarves. There, he was received warmly. He was given his Fusion Swords and his Tri-Plate Guardian by the local smith, who he became quite close to.

He left once again, and journeyed to the west, where he was taken in by the finally recognizable grassland area of the humans. He spent a short year there, and became a breeder of dragons. He raised them for the army, but he kept a special one to himself. As if out of nowhere, the war began...[/i][/center]

[b]Character Background:[/b] Ryan was raised in a family that was very active in the war. His father was a powerful general and his mother was a weaponsmith. He was raised as a wizard from week one. Being bombarded with the incantations of different magic spells finally paid off when, at the age of puberty, magic began to manifest itself in Ryans daily life.
At first it was simply lighting candles without matches. Soon it became starting fires and flooding opposing villages at his fathers side. After almost five years of battling the opposing races of the world Ryan had a sudden attack of conscience. He traveled down to onw of the villages one day after a siege. He had burned it to the ground. A small Elvin child crawled from a smoldering building, barely alive. She was horribly burned and bleeding in many places. She crawled toward Ryan and reached for him. She asked where her friends and family were.
Ryan ran. He cried. He hated himself. Finnaly, he made his way to Galdion, where he has been working to retake the world for ten years. His wizardly powers have grown steadily and are now quite a force to be reckoned with. He will help these Destined Warriors, which the stars have fortold, retake this world.

[font=gothic][color=crimson]Well, that's the most common interpretation, but there are a hell of a lot of others that I've run into. Normally it's got gryphon wings as well. The second most common is a horse's body, bat-like wings, man's head, claws and fangs or a tiger. The rear end of the body turns into a tigers, with tail. But I think that was just a lot of people getting inventive and running into the same thing. Gods I read too much.[/font][/color]

During moonless nights, she is usually weak, and breathes heavier as her eyes turn paler. When in this form, she cannot heal, and she has nightmares about events yet to come. She is thought to be a ghost, since she would always drift alone, by the springs on hazy days and moonlit nights. Her ghostly pale skin and piercing blue eyes make her seem like an enchantress of the wood. She uses water and an enchanted mirror to show others of her forsights, but only the water of her springs can be used.
