BigCajones
2003 is going to be a big year for the X-Box with X-Box Live and all, but as there are already threads on that I'm interested in the game you want the most in 2003. I know you Americans will get games before me in poor old England (LUCKY), but what one do you want the most? Well for me I'm really looking forward to a number of games from the X02 showings. I'm interested in whether Perfect Dark 2 will be better than the one on the N64, because I loved that one especially multiplayer. It would be brilliant online! Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is also going to be a massive hit, but I hope it will be longer than MGS2. I'm very excited to see whether Ninja Gaiden is going to be as good as it looks. :excited: Last, but not least Halo 2. It should be such a good game, but I'm not sure if I just think this because of the hype over the first one hmmm? Well there my suggestions ... What are yours? p.s please give explanations or it should be classed as SPAM! :whoops:
Guest QuickSilver
I am really looking forward to the new Panzor Dragoon (sp?) i forget the full name. The graphics on this game are very good and if the first three which were released for the Dreamcast are anything to go by then this will be a very excellent game. By the way sorry if this game as already been released in America, i live in the UK so as BigCajones stated, we do get games later over here. BigCajones
Yeah I know they get everythink early it's annoying I mean they already have X-Box Live! I haven't actually heard of that game ... What's it about? Talking of Dreamcast, Shemue 2 is going to be a big release for most people, but I'm not sure if it will take my liking. You never know. What does anyone else think about the best game on X-Box for 2003 then?
Guest QuickSilver
Shenmue 2 for what Console? it as already been released for the DC. Its a RPG in which you ride a Dragon, and as you prgress through the game it will evolve. But that is only if its like Pazar Dragoon Saga, but is its like the first 2, it will be more of a shoot em up. I aint too bothered with X-Box live, its my bros com, i only take interest in a few games.
BigCajones
Oh yeah I know the game Panzer Dragoon Orta you mean right? The pics I've seen on it are quite bizarre really, but very good and detailed. I see like mystical beasts and big missiles lol. Anyway yeah they are making Shemue 2 for the X-Box and it should start straight after the first one finishes. Both look good I admit.
Guest QuickSilver
yeah thats the one. If my bro dont get it i will have to kick his a**. The first Shenmue game was a classic but i dont know about the second since my bro sold his DC before he could get it so he may get it for the X-Box. Tommy Vercetti
I dont really know what game i am most anticipating it would probably have to be Dead to Rights or perhaps Ninja Gaiden as the graphics look kinda cool and i am in to those types of games. I also am looking forward to MSG2 Substance as this seems to be an interesting game coming out and i want to see whether it is up to the types of good reviews it has been getting
BigCajones
I don't think Dead to Rights is going to be that big a hit next year. I like the original idea of the dog and loads of blood, :D but that's it really. I don't think the graphics look great on Dead to Rights, but awesome on Ninja Gaiden! Of course MGS2:Substance is going to get overated reviews, but that's what I was aspecting from making MGS and MGS2 which were excellent games. The game is really to make up to their fans as most people played as much game as they did watch cut scenes (including me). Hopefully it will be much longer with all these VR missions and extras. I think it will be fun on the skateboard and playing as Cyborg Ninja should hopefully be super cool, so I can get ready for Ryu of Ninja Gaiden and slice people up ooooh :excited:
Guest Gunslinger
Im looking forward to Project Ego. If it is released with all the features it promises, it will be a very good game. If you would like to read some about it, heres a link: http://xbox.gamerweb.com/previews/xbox/projectego.asp Only other game I can think of right now that I cant wait for is The Matrix game. Charles
Actually guys, the Panzer Dragoon series never came to Dreamcast. It originated on the Saturn. Anyway, I'm most looking forward to Panzer Dragoon Orta, as well. Although the controls are supposedly shoddy when dodging obstacles and incoming fire, the rest of the game looks fantastic. But, morphing with the dragon is said to be easy. The language that was developed for the game is supposedly beautiful, as well. I've never had the opportunity to play the other games in the series, so I wonder if they spoke similar dialogue in the predecessors. I don't mind that the levels aren't free roaming either. Branching paths would be nice, but I'll take what I can get considering that great shooters aren't easy to come by nowadays. Oh, and Gunslinger, that is some sorely outdated information, lol. The game isn't even called Project Ego anymore; it's Fable. :whoops:
Guest QuickSilver
Yeah thats the one, it been so long since i have actually played the Saturn that i had totally fogotten that it was that console it came on not the Dreamcast.
Guest Gunslinger
Yeah, thats my bad. I forget the latest website I found and that was all I had in my favorites at the moment. Sorry for the outdated info.
BigCajones
Fable looks quite an interesting RPG with whatever you do in your childhood has consequences in the game which should be good. Other games that seem to be growing on me everytime I read reviews are True Crime: The Streets Of LA (cross between Vice City and Dead to Rights :excited: ), Enter The Matrix (will be fun to do their tricks, but no characters from the films, there is two new ones) and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Raven Shield is growing on me too (graphics are amazing and I like warfare :) hope it's as good as Splinter Cell, but a smidge easier). Any games growing on you when you look at reviews on X-Box games coming out ...? :naughty:
Ryuujin
I am really looking forward to Sudeki. It looks like a great game, just a long wait :( It doesn't come out until Winter '03!!! Also Halo2, I love the first, I'm expecting alot from it, so they better not let me down!
BigCajones
I don't know whether Sudeki will take to my liking, but yeah it has great screen shots. Halo 2 I think everyone is expecting good things from, but I don't know how it's going to top Halo as that was superb. I know it's got an online feature which will be great fun if I get Live!!! :excited:
Red
I'm looking forward to Steel Battalion. Heck, I'm even considering buying an XBox and the game (plus the controller, which will cost around £100 with the game) because it seems so good. It seems like the first Mech game that I will truely like, but I really hope to test it before shelling out £300+ for the whole bundle. The controller that comes with it has a hefty 100 buttons or so, with joysticks, flips, switches and other contraptions. It takes something like 8 buttons just to get off the ground. Most of the scenery seems to be interactive, with most buildings and structures collapsing realistically. This is the only pic I could get so far, hope to get one of the controller soon. :p
BigCajones
Yeah I've seen loads of pics for this, the control system is bigger than the chunky X-Box itself by the looks of things. 100 buttons woah that must be damn confusing and hard to get used to! I'm not sure if it is a 100 buttons by what I have seen, but I may be wrong. The game itself looks extremely detailed in this Mech war. I may get this game and hope it's better than Mech Assault which would be cool! *thinks where controller pad would go* hmm? :demon:
Posthumous
I really don't like this system, but I got it because of Halo. Now most anticipating game of 2003 for me? Halo 2.I just feel this one will be 10 times better than the first, but yet again you never know until you play. Also Panzer Dragoon Orta. This game has stunning graphics, and great gameplay. But most importantly of all it's made by Sega.(hehe) Those are the games I want in 2003. BigCajones
If your a big SEGA fan you will be happy to know Microsoft are trying to buy this company for even more classic hits on the X-Box. Ones that are planned to be released at the moment are- 'The House of the Dead 3', 'Panzer Dragoon Orta' and 'Toe Jam & Earl 3: Mission to Earth. Other hit that maybe released are Virtua Fighter Quest, Sonic Adventure 3 and Shemue 3 (this maybe canned due to poor sales of Shemue 2, but I hope not). Hope your more happy about the X-Box now! :)
Bing
100 buttons...O_o;;; I don't have the attention span to learn that! I think the expected Sega releases look good, especially House of the Dead 3, because a gun has been released, for only £15, which is cheap! Mztik_Gohan10, one bit of advice, rent some games, and acquire a taste for different games, that are like Halo, becuase generally, games look, sound and play better on the 'Box
Ryuujin
Steel Battalion looks good. Don't know about this controler... Lataz
BigCajones
Yes I have seen this controller before, it's going to be hectic to remember the buttons! Most probably won't be used or will be repeat buttons. I also have no clue where to put the damn controller, so I'm bit stuck. Oh well it still looks a classy game. Most anticipating at present moment- Perfect Dark 2, I'm in for a multiplayer slaughter match-up like the original. Can't wait ... *killing mood*. :demon:
Bing
Yes, I am really anticipating Perfect Dark 2, because the original on the N64 was great. That controller is evil if you ask me. Can you actually play the game without the special Mech controller, and can it be used in conjunction with any other games?

BigCajones
Next time could you please state reasons as in why you are most anticipating for the games you have listed! Not sure about WWE Raw: Ruthless Agression, looks like the original which wasn't great! Thanks Grant :demon:
