Da popo
Back to the subject of jarule....he used to be gud but now hes all comertialized... (and i couldnt stand him in fast and furious...hes acts like a chump in that film..cant ehev see over the steering wheel). But his song wit B.brown was good...that was chillin. Also one more thing...DMX i like especially his album then there was X..that was good. But he aint been bringin much out lately. Anyway the reason i'm talkin bout him is cos jarule jus copies him..with his voice and style. And to make it worse hes making a film with steven seagal..which is gonna suck. So theres my opinion.....and i'm gonna stop talkin bout jarule cos its pointless. I'd rather talk about the better artists like 2pac......i jus been listenin to his gang related soundtrack...it is ruff.
Celia
I think rap's okay. I like Ja Rules's songs, but I don't like him. I guess I started liking him when he began singing with Ashanti and J.Lo. Otherwise, I don't like him.
Hybrid
Raps ok, but i wouldnt go out and buy any rap albums, i prefer rock, but i do like it when rock and rap collaborate I.E Linkin Park, but thats the only way i'll listen to it. Omar Harris
I am a huge music fan so I love rap and r&b. I feel that a lot of rap has become commercialized as of late, with the rise of Cash Money and No Limit, who usually speak of nothing but how famous and rich they are. There are quite a few good rappers such as Outkast and EMinem, but now I just listen for a good beat and don't pay attention to the words. As for Ja Rule, I really can't stand him that much. He was a good rapper in his first two songs "Holla, Holla" and "How many wanna...?" but his music has become unbearable because, well, the man thinks he can sing. I can't stand his singing voice, he tries too hard to b an r&b artist, and I'm sick of his shout-outs in every song.

Manic Webb
I liked Ja Rule until he started to sing. I think that started when he did that song with Vita and Lil Mo (who also has an annoyingly high voice). The song he did with Mary J. Blige was the last straw for me. I've been anti-Ja ever since! His rapping voice isn't so bad. It's his singing voice that bothers me! And that fact that he revived the singing career of Bobby Brown (who I just do not like) bothers me to no end. I accept that some of you guys do not like rap music. I'm not too fond of country music, personally. Of course, I wouldn't reply to a thread about the Dixie Chicks just to say something inappropriate and rude like "country sucks because I hate it" even though I've never heard a Dixie Chicks song in my life. And even if I didn't like rap, I certainly wouldn't say something ignorant like "all rap is violent" in a thread about a man who does nothing but rap about love. I mean, how would that make me look? But that's just me.
treton_noir
thank you, endymion, for having an intellectual opinion. it makes me happy to see people that post intelligently and do not generalize. well, i think we have established the fact that ja rule cannot sing. i, honestly, think that ja rule lost his entire fan-base when his "collaberations" started. somehow, he has created an entire new one. how sad it is to think that this represents our generation. people sell trash and others buy it. whatever happened to the good music? Quote: Endymion- "...I wouldn't reply to a thread about the Dixie Chicks just to say something inappropriate and rude like "country sucks because I hate it..." *but i wouldnt hold it against you, because you couldnt be more right. but that's a different story all together. SSJ Gotenks ok
Ja rule was tight when he was rapping with the cash money click (not cash money records).Someone should till ja that he sounds stupid! Then maybe he will stop singing! And the only people who buy he's albums are young girls.Guys cant even stand his sh*t!And he thinks he is tupac has anybody heard what he said in that one interview?? Manic Webb
 You can't be serious! He really compared himself to Tupac? That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard! No, wait... Sisqo saying that he's the best R&B singer and his album flopping, followed by R. Kelly dissing him several times on his Jay-Z collaboration album is the dumbest. Ja Rule comparing himself to Tupac comes in a close second, which leaves Bobby Brown's title "The King of R&B" in a disappointing 3rd.

Heaven's Cloud
Ja Rule embodies everything that I hate about music right now. He gains his prestige by taking a gimmick, DMX's vocals, and mixing it with trashy, poppy lyrics. People like him, Fred Durst, and Puff Daddy, take a sound and market it on MTV and then call themselves revolutionary...if you want to listen to truly revolutionary rap listen to The Roots or a Tribe called Quest, if you want to hear a rock rap hybrid, listen to bands like Aerosmith, Run DMC, and the Beastie Boys. These are groups with talent, hard working groups that lack the business prestige of puffy or durst but they make up for it a threefold with true talent.

Look at Bobby Brown, he looks awful! Terrible voice, teeth missing....just a mess.
treton_noir
thats what you get for being on that "stuff". dont do drugs kids or you'll end up like bobby brown, reduced to singing duets with ja rule. now we dont want that, do we? that should be the new international anti-drug campaign slogan. lol
