liamc2
Letsee now. When I have kids (that's if a woman could bother with me once I'm in '19-years-of-University-Egads-I'm-a-baby-doctor' mode) I'd name them: Boy: Athen or Saethi (don't you dare try and stop me either :shifty: ) Girl: Nina (after my awesome cuz ^^)
Jesus Chicken
Hmm... Me with children??? Knowing me they would be lucky to make it to the stage where they could say their name but hey! A boy: Indrid, Samuel or perhaps, something simple, like Michael. A girl: Maggie, Sarah or Rachel Nothing out of the ordinary, but I'd hate to have been called Rory or Doogle. Spikey
I doubt that I'll even have kids, but what the heck. I like the name Akira, or maybe Kakarato. But then everybody would think I'm from Japan. I wish I was. Anyway, so I thought of naming (if I have) a boys name after mine, Greg. Bargh! It's to normal. I really want to name one of my girls Maril, from Trigun. She just is so funny. Then I could name my boy Vash. Then they would fight each other.lol Though, those sound like american names, what if they grow up to be an all-time sport player, the complete oppisite from me. Then I think that they would want to go to court, and get there named changed. But I guess I don't have to worry, I don't think I'll be having any. If I do, that won't happen any time soon.
Zidargh
Hmm, I dont know if I'm ever going to have kids, he he, but i'll probably change my mind. I'd have to say, I'd name my boys to be Leo, or Ken. And for girls, perhaps I'd name one Kelly, or Honour. I just think original names would be great to grow up with.
Tommy Vercetti
if i have kids i would call the boys Ben and Jerry like the ice cream and for the girls i would call them..... Melinda and Joan because i think these names are pretty cool

Kelly ain't terribly original and Honour she may get ripped apart with that name as times change (more bullying). I thought you would want your son to be called Lucas lol as you say it everytime you see me. Leo and Ken are cool names (computer game's names come in handy I see) At the moment I would probably call my son Harry and as for a girl, maybe Joanna hmm? I can't think right now, but it doesn't matter I suppose I ain't in the situation to name a child, well not right now anyway ;)
Queen Asuka
Oh Deedlit, please do not name your kids those names. I am HOPING that this is a passing phase and that you will move on and want normal names for your children. And Anna, for your boys names, do you have all the biblical names down or what? ^_^
Yu Yu Hakusho!
Most of us (including me) who want to name our children after our obsessions will most likely not want to when we're older. I know that for a fact. So I doubt that Deedlit will name her children those things Asuka....like I want to name my son Yusuke or something. We all grow out of things like that. KittyLynn
I'm not planning to have a boy, but if I do it is. Rori,Pheonix or Cody. If its a girl,Hunter,Madison,Pheonix,Griffin,Rayne,Panda or Amy.
Deedlit
Okay, so I may not name them Deedlit or Zelda. Yes, those two names are just a phase 1.) because Deedlit's my fav anime character, and 2.)Zelda because she's my fav character from the Zelda games and SSBM. Yes, I said those two names. :p I might come up with other girl names, but I'm DEFINATELY naming them Laurala, Thasthalion or Aelas. :p
Roxie Faye
OH.MY.GOODNESS! How could I forget such names?!? Okay, actually, I could, because I wasn't thinking clearly when I wrote my last post. ^_^;;; I really like the girl's name, Amarante, which is Japanese. It means "flower that never fades". Not literally, but like Sarah/sara means princess, in that same way, Amarante means "flower that never fades". I like the Chinese name, Da-Xia, which means(meaning the sarah-pricess type meaning. Not the literal translation into Chinese) Long Summer. I think it's a pretty name. Some other boy names would be Leonardo, Diego, Kevin ('cuz it sounds like Ken, as in Ichijouji. ^_^), Davis, possibly Daisuke or Kenji, and DEFINATELY KEN after both Kenny-boy and Kenneh-boy. ^_^ *hugs both Kens*
Sara
I have a fairly good system... all 'current obsession' names go to story characters, not hypothetical children. No, my hypothetical children will have quite the rigorous naming requirements. After going through grade school with several other Sara(h)s, I'd like to name a child something fairly unique. Nothing too off-the-wall, but a name he or she wouldn't have to share with half his or her kindergarten class. I would also go for a name with an accepted spelling. 'Catherine' and 'Katherine' are fine, but 'Kaethyrnn' is out of the question. I don't want my child going though life with a name they will have to spell out for every office worker they meet. If one spelling of a name is more common [or accepted' than another, I would probably go for the less-used variation. My own name is Sara [Not Sarah,] and while I still get Christmas cards from relatives addressed to my alternate-spelling counterpart, the no-'h' variation of my name was what kept me different from the other seven Sarahs I knew through grade school. And there's a special thrill finding personalized keychains and whatnot for 'Sara.' I'd like a name with a story behind it, simply because I love history and etymology so much. So I wouldn't make up a name, that'd be cheating. I would also look for a name without terrible nicknames. Theo is a fine name, but I would not be able to stand having people call my child 'Teddy.' Or perhaps I would simply have to be firm with relatives for the first few years. "Her name is Elizabeth, notBitsy."
DeathKnight
Isnt Ken such a lovely name? ^_- I'd like to name my daughter Nicole Jennifer Howell- Nicole meaning people's victory; Jennifer meaning white spirit. Or I would name her Tori Ann Howell- Tori meaning bird, Ann meaning Gracious. Also it has a sort of flow when you say it- To me, anyway. If I had a son, i'd probably name him after myself. Heh.
Mitch
Ah. I've got only one thing to say. When I have a son (nope, not a chance I'll get a girl, fate's not that appealing), I'm going to constantly call him my li'l Son of a Mitch...or, when you grows up, Son of a Mitch....ah, please, I am not a female dog. By and by, by and by.
Queen Asuka
Samantha, that is something I know you will grow out of. Just wait. Besides, you wont be having kids for a LONG time, and your tastes will change many times by then. YYH, that's what I've been saying all along. You grow out of such things as wanting to name your kids after anime characters. I'm telling you, it's a phase. All anime fans probably go through it. And Ken, Tori Ann, huh? That's so CUTE! I like the name Tori myself, you know. It's one of those BEAUTIFUL names that everyone just wants to give to their kids. Heh, just kidding. ;)
BabyGirl
Tori, I often think of you when my boyfriend talks about his best friend, because his name is Orlando [it's actually his last name, but no one calls him 'Chris'] just like you and Piro's kid ^-^ Roxie, I was reading your post and I REALLY like the name Diego. For some reason it reminds me of an animal that was personified in an animated movie, but I think it's an awesome name. The children that I never plan on having will be named one of the following:
Wes Luca [Luke/Lucas] Anna [Ana] Odra [Audra]
I don't often think of children's names because I never see myself having any :bluesweat

What does everyone think of Nebuchadnezzar? I'm just kidding folks. It just so happens that I like those names, only a few of them I have specific relations to their Biblical namesakes, like Isaiah and Joseph, and Ammon (but Ammon is in the BOM ;)). Dragonstar
:D I think it'd be pretty cool to have a Japanese name, but then again, people have enuogh trouble with my surname, I tell em a hundred times and they still can't get it right. anyway :babble: I have to say, Orlando would be a REALLY cool name. Another one I like, Zane, or Laszlo. as for girls name's, I really have no idea, but after many years of "oh carolina!" I know what I will NOT call any child of mine. It'd have to be something interesting but not... complicated. arrgh! this is confusing me! How can you know what I wanna say if I don't know what I wanna say!?:D
Queen Asuka
Heh, Anna, that would be so hilarious to actual have someone with a kid named Nebuchadnezzar. You know, that's the name of the ship on the Matrix that they travel around in. I always thought that was pretty cool...Heh. And yes, I did draw that picture. And of COURSE my real kids are going to look like that. They have ME as a mother, right? ^_^
