----------------------------------------------The Story Begins ----------------------------------------

The early days of spring shin on brightly for the first time you can remember.

Visions of that odd dream linger in your mind. You saw a caravan lead by a pair of demons and a few orc minions ambushed near the Taro'us mountain pass northeast of your village. They seemed to be guarding some kind of treasure within an encrypted iron casing surprisingly they were defeated by a few dozen rebel forces. One of which you swear was the town elder. Shaking it off you continue your daily life hoping nothing bad happens, while in town you see a large gathering of townsfolk in the middle of town passing by them like many others are doing you overhear something about the Bacus (a common bat-like humanoid creature used as troopers by most demon lords while fairly weak for a demon they still could deliver a hell of a fight maybe even killed some of the strongest human warriors.) coming to town in search of something.

After retrieving some supplies from the local marketplace you begin to head home. Passing the local "law" enforcement officers in the streets you notice them posting up a picture of the town elder with missing as its title. You see them stopping various other persons you've seen around town asking them strange questions about the elder man where about and if you have any information on rebel forces within the area. You too are stopped and asked a few questions about the elder.

"When was the last time you seen the old man?"

"Do you have any relationship or connection to him?"

"What do you know about the Red alliance? "

"Do you know anything about possible rebel activity in the area?"

After answering the questions and pondering the odd happenings of the day, a fairly good friend stops you to share local gossip and to see how you are doing. Odd you think as your friend parts from you, the Bacus are still searching for whatever it is they are looking for. Maybe the dream ?. NO! it couldn't mean anything.

The day continues without much note and you settle down for bed, the night skies seem more distant then usual normally filled with dreadful sounds or fleeing animals. You quickly fall asleep.

----------------------------------------Dream--------------------------------------------------

In front of you lays that encrypted iron casing half on the ground, half leaning against a wagon. It would seem no one else is around give the nearby animals plundering food cases spread across the ground. When you look back at the iron case it is slightly open in the cracks visible to you a strong looking human arm is seen. "please help me" faintly whispers in your ears as the iron lid falls to the ground almost landing on your feet. You look up to see a hansom young man sealed within the case he appears injured maybe by claws or small sharp blades. His arms crossed and a strange feathery cloak o/r blanket covering his naked body. "I will not harm you, please help me" again a faint whisper fills your ear you look back at the young man confused. "I'm scare, please I beg of you help me" whispers in your ear as tears form and roll down his cheeks.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You awake sweating lightly as the night wind blows gently across your face. the dream still fresh in your mind, the voice echoing in your thoughts.

Xanthia wakes up panting, she sits up and tries to catch her breath. why give me this dream This was the only thing that poped into her mind. She finally calms down, she looks out side, it was still dark out. Then her door creaked open, and a little girl came in.

xanthia: go back to bed tina.

Tina: i thought you were haveing a bad dream, so i brought you some water.

Xanthia: thank you, place it on the table.

Tina: i had a bad dream too.

Xanthia: and?

Tina: can i sleep in your room.

Xanthia sighed and looked at her little sister.

Xanthia: be quick about it.

Tina: ok.

Tina left the room and xanthia got up and walked to the window and looked to the plains. She saw the heard of horses were on the move into the forest. She then turned as tina walked back into the room with her blanket and pillow.

Xanthia: go ahead on the bed. i won't be sleeping to night.

Tina: ok.

Xathia went and sat in the chair on the other side of the room, contemplateing what has happen lately, the questionings, dreams and the bacus. These had to link together, she knew they had to, but she dosen't really know how.

Cador sat up gasping for air, looking around franticly. Not sure if what he saw was reality. Calming himself down he decided that trying to get me sleep was useless. "Dreams like this don't just happen everyday." "I must be losing my mind" he thought. In the early hours he got ready for his job. But as he did he couldn't shake the thoughts of the dream, or the recent happenings in the town. The elder missing, the demons searching specifically for HIM. The dream? He dismissed these thoughts the best he could and went about his day. While working he still thought though, going over the dream time and time again. Who was that man? Why was he locked in that case? It's obvious that the demons are looking for something important. Could this be?no. His boss yelled him at several times; he apologized and said that he had a lot on his mind.

Boss: Well if that's the case we don't you head to the store and pick us up some lunch.

Cador:?sure

Boss: Be quick about it now, you know how the boys can be when they're hungry.

Cador: Yes sir

With that he left, still pondering both dreams and entertaining the thoughts of looking for that caravan. But it was just a dream right? Dreams don't mean anything. "If anyone else had seen that dream they would have rushed out the door. But they way things are?they can wait a little longer for lunch" He took "a wrong turn" and headed for the town center.

Xanthia walked out the door leaveing a note for her little sis saying she was out to find some food. She put up the hood on her cloak and hitched a ride on the back of a cart into town. When arriveing there she jumped off at the town center and looked for a place to watch the people go by. Then she saw a boy entering that she hadden't seen hin this section of town before. She hide in the shadows, he was the perfect victim. As he walked by he was mumbleing about a dream, she hesetated but went for it anyway. she walked behind him like a shadow. then quickly reached into his pocket and grabbed his money and put it in her pocket. The boy didn't notice, he was still mubleing about the dream. then she lowered her hood and decided to talk to him. she tapped his shoulder.

Xanthia: hi.

boy: um...hi.

Xanthia: my name is ...sam, what's yours?

boy: my names cador.

Xanthia: follow me, i need to talk to you.

Cador: um..is this goimg to be quick, i really need to be back at work soon.

Xanthia: just trust me.

And she started for a dark alley, one of her favorite alleys in the town.

Meanwhile in the village?.

Bacus troops file into the streets of the village three by three dozen of them eight maybe nine rows split off walking toward houses of fearful citizens. Breaking down many doors, (not even knocking) throwing the old and young out of their houses as a tall well built Bacus stands in the middle of the town.

Bacus Leader: Citizens of Lith'is, Overlord Harnia declares this village a threat to his reign, he commands every house old to hand over their youngest child until your elder has been found and judged for the crime of high treason.

With this the Bacus leader nods toward the others, as young children are grab violently.

Village man: << Grabbing a Bacus that grabbed his child >> Wait! Not my child please. << Looking for compassion within the Bacus >>

Bacus Troop: << Grins >> then find the elder.

Village girl: << Crying >> Daddy << arms reaching toward the man, her hands grabbing toward him. >> I love you Daddy!

Village Man: << Almost in tears >> He left!

The tall Bacus sharply looks over at him as does a few villagers.

Bacus Leader: Take that man find out what you can.

Villager's Wife: Great Bacus my husband has given you what you've ask in information please release our daughter.

Bacus Leader: The only thing your husband has done is confirm our lord's suspicions << Looking toward the crowd >> Aid in the capture of this criminal and we'll spare your children anyone that fails in this will never see their child again! << Looking over at the Village man >> as for him sacrifice him for withholding information earlier with the town officials.

The wife and the child scream out to the Bacus as the father is dragged away.

Bacus Leader: Take the child, and bring the woman to my bedchamber.

Cador followed this strange girl mindlessly. His thoughts still on the dreams, they were interrupted when he ran into her as she stopped.

Cador: Oh?sorry?

Xanthia: that's okay

Cador: So?what did you ant to talk to me about?Sam right?

Xanthia: What??Oh yeah while you were walking I heard you talking to yourself. And I was just wondering. What it was?

Cador: It's nothing really, just a dream?ya know? Dreams can be so strange.

What did this girl want? Cador was very suspicious. Dreams, demons, now a street urchin asking him questions. "These past few days have been very strange" he thought. He thought he heard some commotion in the streets but he ignored it.

Cador: "What did you really ask me back here" His voice was questioning

Xanthia: I?I've had dreams too?strange ones?

Cador: "So does everybody my dear, what makes yours so different?
He turned and began to walk out of the alley.

Xanthia: Because I think yours is the same as mine.

Cador stopped and slowly turned around. His immediate thoughts were how is that possible!?!? Who was this girl?He was about to speak when they both heard screams at the end of the alley. Both of them sprinted to see the Bacus troops peeling children from their parents. Cador clenched his fists as he remembered the day his mother was taken. Now families are losing their children. All they could do was watch.

Cador: "DAMN IT!!!" he slammed his fist a wall

Xanthia: Oh my god.

They stood they watching. Knowing that any resistance they put up would end in their death, something neither of them wanted. Suddenly one of the Bacus noticed them

Bacus Grunt: HEY YOU TWO!

Cador & Xanthia: Oh S#%@?

Xanthia: this is when i love to be me. (grabs cadors arm) follow me, don't leave a trace able trail.

cador: what?

Xanthia lept over the wall of the alley and started to run towards the moving cart. Cador followed close behind, along with the bacus struggleing with the wall.

Xanthia: into the cart.

Cador: are you sure?

Xanthia tossed him in the cart and threw a stone at the horse holding it. The cart started to move fast. Xanthia hopped on pulling her hood over her head. She crawled up to the front and grabed the reins.

Xanthia: hold on thight.

Cador: what do you think io going to happen o all those kids?

Xanthia: i can't even begin to imagine, which is why i have o get home to my sister.

She whipped the horses lightly and she started for her house, no one could find them there, hopefully.

OOC: Zidane has PM me and told me he can't make the post I'll be inviting some from the recruitment posts as his replacement.

The town hall (now the Bacus headquarters)?.

Bacus Grunt: Commander Yenit, the child's father was been disposed of and the child is now enslaved with your blood as you asked. (A Mortal beings that drinks the blood of a demon becomes the mindless slave of that demon but also gains enhanced strength, speed, agility, and feels no pain ever again making them great front line soldiers.)

Commander Yenit: Well done, now ship her off to Overlord Hania's fortress for training.

Bacus Grunt: and for the human woman?

Commander Yenit: You may dispose of her when I've had my fun << Grins >>.

The two Bacus laugh wickedly as they think about the event of the day and the misery they've caused. Until another Bacus enters the room.

Bacus Scout: Commander Yenit! I have found the corpse of one of the demons guarding the caravan and several orc corpses as well but no sign of the second demon or the wagon in question sir.

Bacus Grunt: Commander it I may ask, what are we searching for anyway?

Commander Yenit: A weapon from what am told.

Bacus Scout: A weapon? But from what I was told it was being sent to Lord Harnia to be destroyed, why destroy a weapon?

Commander Yenit: Truly I don't know. But some say that the Overlords fear the weapon.

Bacus Grunt: AH! Nothing that the mortals can use could harm a Overlord like Hania.

Commander Yenit: Remember that once we fought the angels for these mortals, the angels claimed they had a spirit like none other.

Bacus Scout: My father served in the chaos war and he says the humans have no power over us.

Commander Yenit: still a few dozen human warriors can do some great damage if left to their ways.

Bacus Grunt: Only when the angels blessed them!

Commander Yenit: Listen all I know is that Hania, was very disturbed when the new of the caravan being lost came.

Bacus Grunt: a weapon that the Overlords fear. How odd?

Commander Yenit: I wouldn't worry after our plans for this village are over no human within ten miles will dare come for the weapon!

The two Bacus look confused at the Commander as he laughs to himself.

Meanwhile outside of town?.

Bacus Trooper: Here they come! Nag'a warriors approach.

Weak Bacus: How many?

Bacus Trooper: Maybe four! But that'll do trust me.

From the woods four tall serpentine demons emerge wielding long two-handed crescent blades (think a half circle blade used with swipes very strong and sharp) they are power warriors known as Nag'a (Demonic serpents renown for their Strength, Speed, Agility, and for their unearthly fortitude against mortal weapons. A dozen these creatures have been known to repel small armies of elite human warriors without losing a single Nag'a)

Nag'a Leader: << In a snake like voice >> where is the Commander.

Weak Bacus: He's in the town hall, awaiting your arrival SIR!

Nag'a Leader: And what have you found here?

Weak Bacus: Nothing yet SIR.

The Nag'a sharply smacks the weak creature away throwing him into a tree 5 yards away and crushing spine instantly. The Bacus Trooper looks over frightened quickly bowing before the Nag'a.

Nag'a Leader: Bring to me the rebel leader.

Bacus Trooper: But we haven't found him yet sir.

Nag'a Leader: Then find him, you have an hour.

The Bacus trooper runs off. As the Nag'a Leader looks over to his left at a house away from the others.

Nag'a Leader: << Looking back at the other three >> I smell a mortal in that house bring it to me.

The other three Nag'a rush over to the house and from it they pull a young girl. Going before their leader they toss her to the ground.

Nag'a Leader: << Looking down at the little crying girl >> why do you live out this far little one.

???: << Innocently >> because its were I live.

The Nag'a looks at her angered and lightly snaps her cutting her cheek a little. The girl scream slightly.

Nag'a Leader: useless mortal children! << Looks over at the others >> Search the house if there's nothing there then report back.

The three Nag'a trooper search through the house but find nothing of use to them. Leaving the house trashed they begin to depart when one looks over at the little girl and leans it's head to the side.

Nag'a Soldier: What is your name little one!

???: it's Tina.

The Nag'a ponders ending the child's life but decides her life as a human is enough and leaves her but not until knocking her little form to the ground as he passed. There the young girl sat scare but remaining as strong as her little mind allowed. She began to cry to herself.

OOC: does this mean that she's still at the house? if it doesn't carren, please tell me so i can change this post.

IC:

Xanthia stopped the cart, and was looking at the ground.

Cador: sam, what is it.

Xanthia: other tracks, no one comes here but me, my sis, and a couple of farmers. but these are not of those kind.

cador: speak plainly!

Xanthia: somethings not right. (she thinks for a moment.) get off the cart.

Cador: what?!?

Xanthia: get off the cart, take anything thats worth taking and get off the cart.

Cador: you can't abandon me here.

Xanthia: i'm not, just trust me.

Cador did as he was told, took some food and a small satchel of money. Xanthia got off the cart and walked up to the horse, she looked into it's eyes, this horse wanted to see some action. She smiled, and whispered some commmands to it, nothing elaborte, just to not stop walking, famers use this when they need to sleep on the way back from town. then she sent the horse off.

Cador: what's going on?

Xanthia: my home isn't far from here, just over the hill to be exact. I've had people out for me before, but it just doesn't feel right. i haven't done anything in a while.

Cador: what do you mean by th-

Xanthia:listen.

They sat there in silence, they heard the horse troting through in front of the house. Then there was a large bang and a whinney, the hooves started to pound harder, the horse was scared. then other sounds came into the mix as the intruders went after it, thinking someone was in here.

Xanthia: i think it's safe to move.

Cador: right.

He followed her up to a house, there on the ground was her little sister. she ran up to her.

Xanthia: tina, are you ok?

Tina: i told them exactly what i tell them everytime xan.

Cador: xan?

Xanthia: she means sam, (whispers) speech problem.

Tina: the recked everthing in the house, they were looking for something.

Xanthia: you'er not hurt bad are you?

Tina: no.

Xathia: that's my lil' sis. now lets go find new shelter.

Tina: why a new one?

Xanthia: because you sisters going to get in trouble again if she stays.

Tina: can i go grab my doll?

Xanthia: quickly.

Tina ran back into the run down house.

Cador: where are you going to go?

Xanthia: in to the woods, there's a secret place i go to when i need to be alone, a small cave hidden in the brush. the horses live around there. they are like an alarm.

Cador: are you sure it will be safe?

Xanthia: no, but nothings safe any more. (sighs) sorry for dragging you into to this cador, here, take this in my aprecceation.

She hands him some money.

Cador: are you sure?

Xanthia: yeah, don't need it now that you grrabbed that food off the cart.

Tina came running out and jumped onto xanthias back. She smiled at cador and started to head towards the forest, then turnned around.

Xanthia: it's going to get dark soon, if you follow us, i'll show you back home tommorrow. what do you say?

OOC: Yes Tursi your sister was there (Carren did tell me)

IC:

Cador didn't know how he could refuse. It's not like he could go back to town right now they'd be looking for them any way. Maybe in a day or two when they forgot about the little mishap. This girl, no matter how strange seemed to know her what she was doing. He was out of his element out here in the forest. (If you want to call a farm an element.) He looked back in the direction of the town and sighed

Cador: ?i'll come, thanks for letting me?it's not like there's a warm welcome waiting for me back there anyway

Xanthia: Sure?I mean, I not gonna just leave you out here, what kinda person would that make me?

Cador: A down right cruel one that's what.

He laughed a little as they headed toward the forest. The sun was setting and the air was getting cool. The animals of the night slowly voiced their thoughts and the forest became alive. Cador had never seen such things in his life. It was very peaceful. But he knew that back in town the demons were wreaking havoc on the people. The thoughts of the dreams returned to his mind.

Tina: What happened to your face mister?

Xanthia: Tina hush!
She kneels to the child and whispers "I told you before remember? When people become grownups the monsters hurt them. Now don't stare okay?" Tina simply nodded and they continued. Cador chuckled.

Xanthia: What's so funny Cador?

Cador: ::Laughing softly:: Well, I was just thinking of how we got here. All because you were curious over a stupid dream? If you hadn't talked to me, me and my dad would pry be being persecuted be demons right now. I think I remember you saying something about having the same dream?but I think it was my imagination.

Xanthia: Well that's the thing?I did say that?

Cador:?well?why don't you tell me about it and we'll see?

Xanthia tells him about the dream and the boy she saw, and how sad it was. It scared her to see someone so nice, look so sad for some reason.

Cador: mmm, interesting.

Xanthia: yeah....so...

Cador: huh?

Xanthia: was it the same?

Cador: yeah....yeah...it was.

Xanthia: oh....

A fire was flickering in the back where tins was cooking. Tina looked over at them.

Tina: wanna hear my dream.

Cador: thia might be a little diff-

Xanthia covered his mouth.

xanthia: sure.

Tina: it was about the future.

Xanthia: you can't always belive in nightmares.

Tina: it was real i'm sure, i saw mommy and daddy, looking at us from somewhere, then i looked over at you and you were being taken away by something. i called your name and you didn't respond.

Xanthia: oh tina, i'm sure nothing of the sort will happen, it's all in you head.

Tina: ok.

She turn to cador.

Cador: what if shes right?

Xanthia: then we're in trouble

So much homework!! ><;;;
Sorry!! -Day late
----------

Angel placed a hand against the window, sighing. It was their anniversary... well, would have. She saw her breath appear against the window as she shivered. There was frost on the windowsill, yet it hadn't snowed since last Saturday. She sat down, and pulled off a black glove from her fingers, and leaned against the wall, placing her head between her knees. She clasped her hair, and shut her eyes. Too many memories were starting to return.

A young man entered the room, holding a miniature cup. She smirked gently and chuckled.

"Perfect day, huh?" He implied jokingly.

"F*** off, Johnathan." She mumbled, grasping her hair even tighter.

Johnathan sat next to her, and handed her the cup of tea.

"Careful." He said. "It's still hot."

Angel looked up, and took the tea. She glanced at the celing as a blue light glowed from the outside.

"You know how much I miss him. And you know I don't think it's funny."

Johnathan smiled once again, as he rubbed the back of his head and drank some of his own glass of tea.

"I know."

Angel glanced outside and rested her head against the window. A few white flakes fell from above, as Angel rose an eyebrow and turned back to Johnathan.

"It was snowing then too."

When they fall asleep.
-------------------------------------------Second Dream--------------------------------------------

Before you stand that same handsome young man with that seeming feathered cloak or blanket that covered him shows it's form to you as bright awe-inspiring wings hanging high over the being shoulders. The man holds out a hand to you kindly you see your hand extend to him, he walks you along the clouds looking down at a peaceful world you'd always dreamed of. As you pier down a dark whole o/r something opens up and those vile creatures that plague your world pour out from it as winged creatures descend from the heavens attempting to repel their forces. Years are like moments to your eyes as you see the great chaos wars before you lay waste to cities and kingdoms then it stops the demons retreat to their hellish realm and the winged creatures you believe to be angels descend after them as their battle leaves your world.

Decades pass as the world rebuilds from the destruction left by this Great War. You look back at the winged being that stands by your side. He shakes his head sadly and points back down at the heavenly view of your world, you see demon plaguing it once again. You see tears fall from beside you, when you look to the winged being he looks up at you and says.

???: I never knew, until now. << Tears falling from his face >> but hope lives on if you believe in it << He looks down >> I'm sorry to always appear before you asking for your help but please hurry.

Behind the man erupts a demonic claws slashing into him, he arcs his back screaming in pain his tears fall from his face sprinkling across your arm.

As you awake a slight wet feeling chills your arm.

xanthia wakes up short of breath and runs out of their hiding spot. She runs to a near by pond and sits by it crying. She usually doesn't cry, so she felt embarrased for doing so. She curls up looking into the pond, she tries to dry her arm from feeling wet but it won't go away.

Xanthia: why does he want me to help? I'm no good at anything.

She stands up looking into the heavens, tears streaming down her face.

Xanthia: What do you want me to do?

flash backs of the dream fill her mind.

???: please help. his sad face is the only thing she can remeber, especially his eyes. those sad eyes.

Xanthia: what am i going to do?

Cador slowly sat up and shook his head. "No...it can't be..." He said to him self quietly. He gently rubbed his arm where the tears had landed.
"Dreams can't..." He paused "Hey sam"
He looked to where sam was sleeping to find she was gone. Looking for signs of her departure he finds faint track leading into the woods. As Cador began to follow them he glaced back at Tina, still sound asleep. "Well, if your sister leaves you home alone them you should be okay here" He scruffed his feet on the ground to make the direstion he went apparent. Just in case she woke up.

Cador came upon "Sam" staring toward the sky. Her back was to him and he heard her faint crying.

Cador: You have that dream too?

Xanthia was somewhat startled, she was so lost in her thoughts she Hadn't noticed Cador. She quickly wiped the tears from her face and turned to him.

Xanthia: Yeah...I...I'm really not liking this...

Cador: Me neither. It makes no sense.

Xanthia turned back towrd the pond and looked to the sky again.
"What's so special about us? We can't do anything to fight DEMONS"

Cador: I know but...

Xanthia: But what?

Cador: It CAN'T be coincidence

Xanthia: I know, but still...why us?

Cador: Maybe we were all he could reach...or that would listen, I don't know. But I do know one thing though.

Xanthia: Oh Yeah? What's that?

Cador: Tommarow I'm gonna go find that caravan and see if these dreams mean anything...

Xanthia: But these dreams are still just dreams Cador. She turned back around and looked him in the eyes

Cador:...Well...at least it's better than running away...

Xanthia: true...and i can't let you go running around with out knowing the back way to everything.

cador: so...

Xanthia: i'll come to.

cador: are you sure? what about tina?

Xanthia: i'll tell her, she knows where to go.

She got up and looked at him.

Xanthia: and if we're going to go around with each, i might as well tell you the truth.

Cador: I knew it! i knew you were hiding something.

Xanthia: yeah, my names not sam, its xanthia. the only people that call me sam are people i run into. plus that money, i stole it.

cador: from who?

Xanthia: um...you.

Cador: What!

Xanthia: yeah, i'm a theif. but i swear i didn't teal anything else, and i only steal when i need to. but nows not the time to fight, if we're going to catch that caravan.

cador: why not tommorrow.

xanthia: because i don't want another dream, i just won't be able to stand it. we'll take one of the wild horses.

cador: wild?

xanthia: won't hurt you if you trust them. now lets get something to eat and leave a note for tina.

Xanthia walked back to the cave as tina awoke. she walked over to tina and sat next to her.

Xanthia: sorry for leaveing you again, but it's really important. and i'll bring you back some sweets if you sttay in hiding.

tina: ok.

cador: lets go.

Xanthia: right.

she walked out of the cave and into a small clearing, cador followed and saw a small herd of wild horses. she pointed to the large black horse.

Xanthia: he's the leader, my sis calls him kris. don't get near him. the bay next to him is as sweet as can be if you don't insult her. i'm going for the young stallion on the other side of the clearing.

cador: how do i get on it?

Xanthia: she'll show you, shes the only horses that's not afraid of humans.

cador: right.

Xanthia walked in the shadows, she climbed a tree and crawled over to the branch over the white young stallion. she was sure not to make a sound and slid off the branch and on to the horse. the horse reared up but she soothed it down and waited for cador.

Cador was surprised at the ease Xanthia got on the horse. He had only ridden tame horses on the farm. Even then he wasn't that good at it. Slowly he approached one grazing, somewhat secluded from the others. "Nice beast of burden" He said as he closed in. "I just need to use you for a little while, okay?" Cador gently placed his hands on the animals back and pulled himself up. Immediately the horse reared back and began to buck. Cador clung tight and slowly the horse calmed down. Xanthia was laughing softly.

Cador looked at her after the horse calmed down
Cador: HA! Victory is mine!

Xanthia: First try?wow.

Cador: Alright, I figure you know this forest pretty well?any ideas where that caravan maybe?

Xanthia: I think so?but I'm not totally sure.

Cador: It's worth a shot right?

Xanthia: Yeah?c'mon!

Xanthia kicked her horse and it broke into a gallop toward the forest. Cador urged his to follow but couldn't get past trotting. "stupid animal" He kicked it again and the horse reared and began to run. When he caught up to Xanthia?

Cador: How far do you think it is?

Xanthia: I dunno?I'll tell you when we get there

Xanthia: but until then enjoy the ride while it lasts.

They raced therought the forest passing through small clearings that guided them through the forest. She urged her horse to go faster, whispering in the horses ear. then she rode ahead of cador and then came to a halt. cador's horse reared up as it didn't notice that she had stopped.

cador: xanthia! why did you-

Xanthia: shut up. smell that?

cador: yeah, what is it?

Xanthia: blood and Body oder.

cador: and that means.

Xanthia: something not friendly....dismount we'll go check it out.

cador: you sure?

Xanthia: positive.

Xanthia got off the sleek stallion and crept into a tree.

From the tree xanthia could see a small group of things moving through the forest path they were carring something large with them, it took four people to hold up. it looked like a box....it was somewhat familiar in style. cador crawled up behind her.

cador: so what's going on.

Xanthia: (whispers) small caravan moving through, large cargo, not much protection, most likely a trap. so say quiet till they're out of sight, hopefully they won't smell us.

cador nodded and they stayed hidden in the tree.

The two wait why'll the "caravan" passes when it finally does they continue on they're way. A few hours pass with no sign of the broken down caravan.

Cador: I think were lost.

Xanthia: were not lost, we just need to find the right path.

Cador: what about this one? << Pointing >>

Xanthia: I've never seen that one before, lets go check it out.

The two enter the winding path in hopes to find the caravan they've been searching for and fortunately before long they come across a familiar looking clearing. The scattered remains of food line the edge of the forest along with a demonic looking corpse to the side of an opened case inside they see a young hansom man bleeding slightly from an unseen wound near his back, he lays there eyes closed without any clothing save the wings covering over his body. The two stop for a moment staring at the inspiring appearance of the being wondering again why he had sent for them. Xanthia stepped forward to touch the creature to see if it was real, indeed it was as real as she. She stares at him for a moment longer, until his eyes snapped open "NO!" he yells. Startled Xanthia steps back fainting hearing the muffled sounds of choking, she quickly looked behind her to find Cador being held by the neck a foot off the ground by an injured Bacus, his hands grasping the Bacus's claws

Xanthia: Cador!

The Bacus looks over at her sharply throwing Cador against a nearby tree, a loud cracking and a painful scream is heard.

Injured Bacus: Mortal girl explain yourself quickly or die!

Cador lies arcing his back flailing in pain, a small amount of blood streaming from his back. He rolls himself over arms lifting him from the ground.

Xanthia: what is there to explain? i smelled blood and followed it hoping to find a dead body to take stuff from.

bacus: you lie!

Xanthia: scouts honor.

cador looks at her, he knows shes not telling the truth from the way she cried at night after her dreams, but then again she was a master at her art.

bacus: you have no honor.

xanthia walked up to the bacus, she could feel the tension in the air. she knew the risk but hey she was a risk taker. she placed her weapons on the flooe infront of the bacus, then emptied her pockets of all money she has.

xanthia: how much you willing to bet?

baucs: what kind of bet?

the bacus let cador fall to the ground, cador looked at xanthia, she was giving him time to get out of here with the young man.

xanthia: hand to hand combat, i bet if i win, then you let us go free, or i can kill you.

bacus: and if you lose you come with me as my prisoner.

Xanthia: fine...but i'm warning you, don't underestamate me.

she put her self in a defence stance and waited for an attack as cador went to help the man.

Arikel had been following the path for some time, his dog Ahrimal walking ahead of him making various sounds to warn him of larger than necessary obstacles. It was the middle of day when he felt his dog growling menacingly. His blind eyes gazing in the direction of the growl as he hush's his dog so that he would not give away their direction he walked quietly until he reached the scene. He heard Xanthia and the Cador speaking and heard the bet and sighed only silently wishing them good luck.

The Bacus laughed at the foolish woman's bet knowing there was no way she could defeat him by herself.

Bacus: Fine then lets fight little lady!

The Bacus charged at her swiftly, with only instincts guiding her Xanthia quickly and narrowly dodge the Bacus but the Demon was not impressed sharply stopping and whirling around he thrusted toward her she was not prepare for this thinking he'd not have this kind of speed nor reaction. The Bacus nailed her dead on slashing slightly into her right side she flew forward momentary but quickly gaining her balance she turn around to face the demon thing.

Angelic Being: << Telepathy to Cador >> she means well but is no match for even an injured Bacus, but maybe the two of you can fend it off for a short time.

Cador: << Responding to the telepathy >> but you could help us your strong right? Please! Help us.

Angelic Being: << Again Telepathy to Cador >> I meant be able to aid you but I can't free myself and it takes to much time to free my, help her fend it off and buy me some time I'll gather my strength and give you what you need but be careful.

Cador slowly gathered his strength and picked himself up off the ground grabbing a large branch off to his side.

Angelic Being: << Telepathy to Arikel >> Please kind sir help these youths fend off the demon beast! I'll restore your sight to aid you.

Erupting from all around Arikel magnificent warm rays of light surround him as he fells a confront he'd long forgotten. Arikel recalled this felling as an angels presence it had been ages since he'd felt this kind of blessing upon him. His eyes tingling strangely seemed to shift and turn within his head as light filter though. Mass arranges of color quickly became shapes and figures he'd longed to see again but along with the good came the sight of the Bacus and he cringed to himself.

OOC: just a note events like a fight between a mortal and a demon i'll decided the demons defeat until your characters become more able (later fighting a Bacus will be easy compared to now, but that pretty much a DUH!) and Arikel please post your character for the other can see it if you would (thanks).

Cador Slowly pulled himself off the ground. Branch in hand. His muscles burning from the slam of the tree. "Ok?step one completed" His attention turned toward the Bacus swinging wildly at Xanthia. Her movements barely dodging the Bacus's claws. He tried his best to focus and gain his balance. As soon as he did he creeped toward the Bacus. Xanthia was on the defensive, the Bacus's sharp claws whisking by her again and again. Pauseing the Bacus stepped back and smiled.

Bacus: You're good for a mortal.

Xanthia: "I'm just warming up" Xanthia was slightly out of breath. She knew that she couldn't keep this up forever. Her eyes drifted to Cador slowly sneeking behind the Bacus.

Bacus: Well that's good?I hope your all warmed up then, 'cuse I AM!

The Bacus leapt toward Xanthia with unnatural speed. Caught off guard Xanthia did the best she could the dodge. The Demons claws left gashed her midsection as she staggered away. The blood oozed slowly as Xanthia held her wound.

Bacus: Aww?where is that speed and wit now?
The Bacus laughed at his own joke. Flashing his teeth at Xanthia. Just then Cador reached the Bacus and slammed it in the back of the head with all his might. The Demon lost his balance and lurched forward. Xanthia saw her chance and jumped, planting her foot on the Bacus face. The conflicting force knocked the Bacus to the ground. As he did the both of them began beating the defenseless beast the best they could. Thoughts of victory turned sour as the Demon grabbed Cador by the foot and thru him into Xanthia.
Quickly climbing to their feet the two saw the Bacus's face over them?he was thoroughly pissed.

Bacus: WORTHLESS HUMANS!!!

Cador: ::Cracking his back:: Ow?Okay?any bright ideas Xanthia?

Xanthia: ::clutching her wound:: I'm workin on it?you

Cador: None what-so-ever?

Xanthia: We better think a somthin?here he comes
