Shayleigh looked at her surroundings as she entered the human castle. With her strong vision she saw some humans talking to each other. The one she noticed the most though was the girl that was watching her. She slowly approched the group.

Chris: You are the first Knight to arrive to the castle.

Shayleigh eyed the knight carefully
Shayleigh: Yes I guess you could call me a knight...

Chris: Well as soon as the others get here we will speak to my king to see what our orders are.

Shayleigh nodded and looked at the other soldiers. An interesting lot, Shayleigh mused in her head. This will prove a very interesting journey for me...

Silently, Ken made his way through the street, the hustle and bustle within the Castle's gates surronding him. He got many odd glances, some smiles- some people shunned him. The usual reactions people give to such a mythical creature, especially a creature that usually does not stray out of his forest. Slowly, he made his way, almost lazily, twards the castle.

The chains that had been hanging around his arm for years drug along the ground, creating an odd noise as they rubbed across the stones in the road. Glanceing up suddenly, he looked to the Inner Castle- His destination. Silently, he ascended the stairs that lead up to the main gate to the inner castle, his tail dragging along behind him.

Walking through the massive gates, he walked foreward twards a group of humanoids, levitating upwards to be face to face with the one the Wind called 'Chris'. The group was somewhat startled to see a Forest Spirit, except for the Elvish Girl. Silently, Ken descended again, bowing gracefully to Chris.

Ken: ... My name is 'Ken'. I have travelled from The Forest of Ancient Lagandria, and have come here to help you weave your own fates. Your quest.. Your perilous quest. If you fail.. the Forests will be damaged, the beauty of this world will be tainted. Yes. I, as a Spirit of the Forest will assist you.

Ken's eyes glanced upwards, and he smiled gently as a father would to a dear daughter. A strange energy surronded him, as he stepped back, and silently bowed to the Shayleigh, stepping backwards to stand against the wall.

OOC: Rosetta (one of the Fairies from La-La Land; she's in my sig) will be in this post, and only in this post in this thread. She justs helps Mnemeth get to the castle.
IC:

Rosetta: You're leaving?

Mnemeth: Yep.

Rosetta: But we need you here! Especially since a lot of the fairies are away as well... Sakura and Ferati are waiting for a battle, Crestina is already in a battle, Eurobatt is thinking about joining a battle, Chicadi is on a vacation in a foreign planet, Masuket is returning from a vacation... I can't have anyone else gone!

Mnemeth: Who cares? Even though you and Eurobatt are the only fairies here, there are still plenty of knights here! 23 of them, to be exact, excluding me.

Rosetta: OK... And good luck. I heard bad news from Crestina and Masuket so far... so I hope you do well... I'll miss you...

Mnemeth: Same here. Bye! (she leaves and heads toward the castle where everyone else is) Wait for me! (she opens the door to the castle and walks inside) Whoa, I guess just about the whole group's here!

Shayleigh: Yeah...

Chris: Well, we're getting a lot of weird beings here--first a forest spirit, then a... uhhh... whatchamacallit? (looks strangely at Mnemeth) You're not quite human, so...

Mnemeth:  Whatever.

Chris: So, uhhh... where are you from?

Mnemeth: La-La Land.

Chris: La-La Land, huh?

Mnemeth: Yep. As a matter of fact, I'm actually one of the La-La Knights, the protec...

Chris: Another knight? All right!

Mnemeth: Uhhh... That rhymes! (everyone laughs)

Mnemeth:

The Forest Spirit chuckled, and fell back into silence, his long, slender fingers traceing his beard slowly. He felt a presence of evil growing stronger every second they waited, and he did not like it. Slowly, he turned, walking away down a lonely, quiet hallway- Torches lined the sides, flickering upwards in a dance that averted his attention for a second, before finally, he stopped and let out a low "hmmm" of thought.

His footsteps echoed, as the sound of voices that were coming from the group of would be heroes dwindled the further he walked, a mysterious calm flowing around his body, the torches growing peaceful for a moment before his passing. Finally, he passed a large arched window that was paned with stain glass- A scene of a knight slaying some evil foe etched into the glass.

Finally, he came to a large room filled with books- A library. His eyes drifted from shelf to shelf, before finally he pulled out a large dusty book that looked as old as Ken himself. With a short exhaleing of air, the dust from the cover flew off, revealing the title- The History of the World- Part XXIVI~ By Josephus. Quietly, he opened the cover of the book and scanned the index, his finger traceing along page carefully.

He was looking for some hint as to how the former heros had defeated this Evil- Surely no sword should be able to stop a world threatening 'cult' that is merely named 'Evil'. His eyes seemed to be searching beyond the page, to find what he was looking for.

A few moments later, he shut the book with a loud 'fwap', placeing it carefully back into its place. He silently walked out of the Library, the door shutting behind him automatically it seemed, a gust of air from the heavy door travelling down the hallway, causing the torches to convulse in a sudden reaction to it.

His garments flowing behind him, Ken made his way back to the humanoids, humming a low tune of the Dryads that inhabited his forest. Walking back out into the main hall where everyone was, a guard approached him and saulted. Ken nodded, and listened to what the guard was going to say.

Guard: Do you need help finding something, Sir?

Ken: No, Child. I merely went into the library to search for something.

Guard: ... Library? Sir, the Library is located outside, in a seperate building.

Ken: I know. I never said I went to your library, now did I?

An impish grin shattered the Guard's already frayed nerves, causing the Guard to nod quickly and salut, pratically jogging off afterwards. The smile never fadeing from his face, he reappraoched the group, silently reinserting himself into it, as if he never left.

Shayleigh smiled as she saw the Forest Spirit enter the room again. Her sensitive eyes told her that he had been into something quite old because of dust covering his fingers.

Shayleigh knew that the Forest Spirit was much older than herself and that she shouldn't question him so she kept that thought to herself.

Chris: Well where did you go?She looked at Ken suspiously

Ken: I went for a walk. I do not like to be in a building very long. Shayleigh would know as well

Shayleigh nodded at Ken. She knew quite well. Elves and Forest Spirits like to be in the open air where nothing can incase them. Shayleigh also knew that Forest Spirits keep to themselves and don't like to reveil much to there enemies or their allies...

Chris looked at the two suspiciously she began to mistrust them for their sneaky ways.............

Ken solemnly shook his head and raised one of his fingers, pointing outside, where the daylight was slowly fadeing, his eyes shimmering for a moment. Shayleigh understood instantly what he was going to say, as she was feeling the same feelings- The calling of the outdoors.

Ken: That.. is where my chambers will be tonight.

Slowly, he leaned in foreward, closer to Chris, and stared deep into her eyes, an odd silence falling. His eyebrow arched a bit, a smirk appearing on his face- Almost as if he was playing with her.

Ken: Not as stuffy, you understand.

Winking, he turned, beginning to walk out of the room. He reached to his side, grasping a small bag that shifted a bit as he grabbed it. In Shayleigh's mind, she heard his voice echo a message- 'Just whistle an elvish tune if anyone needs me, Milady Elve.'

Walking through the streets, Ken silently glanced about, observing the various scenes around him. He saw a large building that seemed to be the hub of all the activity on the street. Glanceing at the sign- Boar's Head Inn- he nodded and headed inside, removing the bag from his side. He got some odd glances from a few people, as he hovered up and sat on a bar stool.

Bartender: Whats your pleasure?

Ken: Red Rose Ale.

Bartender: Coming up- It'll be 19 gold for that, sir.

Opening the bag, Ken reached in and pulled out a seed- One of at least 200 hundred in the bag. He tossed it on the counter, and the seed began to tremble- Sprouting into a plant right on the counter. 19 seperate pieces of gold grew from its branches, dropping onto the counter in order- Each a second apart. A large red flower bloomed, and wilted just as quickly, as the plant died- The whole process takeing around half a minute. The Bartender silently handed him the drink, missing the whole 'money plant' bit, and collected the gold, nodding a 'thank you' to Ken.

Raiseing the glass, he tilted it a bit, side to side, causeing the liquid within to swirl- before takeing a long, satisfying sip of the sweet wine. He smiled to himself as he set the glass down, exhaleing a sigh of approval. Tapping his fingers on the bar, he went back into thought, takeing sips of his drink every few moments to 'aid' him. He glanced up to the bartender, who was cleaning a glass as a lull fell in business. Ken raised one finger and tilted his head slightly as he spoke.

Ken: Tell me. Do you know any stories?

Bartender: I'd say so. Comes with the business.

Ken: You could say i'm a collector of stories- Tell me the most fantastic one that you have.

As the bartender shrugged and began, Ken reached within his garments and pulled out a small book, writing as he talked in a strange language. The story itself took maybe 5 minutes or so, before the bartender finished and went back to his work- A small squad of troops celebrating for some reason. Ken closed his book, slipping it back into his inner pocket, and hopped off the barstool, slipping out of the bar and melding in with the citygoers.

The busy streets suddenly parted as the dark warrior ambled in resting his great black sword on his shoulder. the break in the people continued as he walked, aswell he noticed everyone staring at him and whispering to themselves. "i get that alot." he said to himself, then gave a little chuckle. suddenly he stopped walking when a strange creature confronted him looking into his eyes with stern concintration. The creature then spoke in one of the most gental voices the Warrior had heard, "I am Ken, you had better not come for trouble in this town Wraith" (he pointed a long slender finger at him)
The wraith answered in return "Nonsence i've been sommoned here by someone, so my dear sprite will you show the way to the castle?" a devious grin showed on his face.

Shayleigh watched Ken leave and heard his telepathic message. She smiled again and saw that Chris looked at her weirdly.

Shayleigh: I think I shall sleep outside town as well. I belong in the forest as does Ken. If you need me then just wistle. I have very senstive hearing.

Chris nodded still not trusting in her elvish and Forest Spirit companions. Shayleigh walked out of the castle and headed for the town gate. A guard looked down at her but did not question where she was going for she was one of the guest in the castle.

She breathed in the fresh air and walked towards a tiny wood just outside the town. Shayleigh thought about the message Ken had given her earlier Just whistle an elvish tune if anyone needs me, Milady Elve. Yes,She thought I will wistle if someone needs you Ken but when I'm in any forest I doubt that I will need you. Maybe Chris will during the night I don't know...

She looked up to see a raven flying overhead. She wistled to it and it came down to land on her outstreached hand. She talked to it and listened to what it had to say about the world.

She frown when it told her that the Darkness was getting heavier every day and they should make haste if they plan to stop it. Shayleigh felt it too. The Darkness hug like thick fog on her brain. Maybe the humans couldn't feel it but she certainly did and she knew Ken did too.

Ken silently pondered for a moment, his eyes tearing into the Wraith's with his stare. He turned, walking through the streets of people, as the nighttime slowly came closer- A vibrant sunset of orange and yellow blossoming forth as the daylight slowly yielded to the darkness.

He stopped suddenly, and pointed up the masterstairs that lead into the castle, nodding to the wraith. The wraith snorted to the sprite, nodding a hesitant thank you, and ascended the stairscase, disappearing through the gate. Slowly turning, Ken sneezed, and shook his head, heading for the forest that resided outside the gates for a little relaxation.

Within the forest, all was serene- Crickets chirping, Birds getting comfortable in their nests, A lone stray cat silently watching the Bird, waiting for the right moment to strike from his secret vantage point. Ken made his way through the trees, takeing his time to take in all that the trees were saying as he past by, the branches bending out of his way as he walked.

All of the forest was indeed worried about the strange feeling of imminent doom that was growing within in them everyday- A little bit more each time they waked. Silently, he nodded in agreement, feeling the same way for the past half month or so as he travelled- Over great mountains, past rivers, and through misty forests he had travelled.. But he enjoyed his journey, for it had allowed him to finish another chapter in his Book of Stories.

A crash of thunder snapped his wandering mind back into reality, and he turned his head twards the dark clouds that were building in the distance- Lightning rolling throughout them in a furious manner. The storm slowly grew larger as it got nearer, and he turned to go back to his leisurely walk- But was stopped by the sight of a beautiful ruby-red flower right infront of him. He reached out and caressed the flower, smileing to himself satisfyingly.

He sniffed the flower a few times, before tilting his head to the side and stepping back, glanceing around. Sniffing a few more times again, he smelled a strange sent- And realized it was tainted a bit with Chris' scent. Smiling to himself, he casually turned back to the flower, leaning up to sniff it again.

Ken: I knew that her scent wasnt completely human...

OOC: So everyone excpet Mnemeth has already left town?
IC:

Chris: Geez, a lot of people are leaving town. They sure are ambitious!

Mnemeth: Yep, you got that right...

Chris: I just can't believe that the other knights are taking so long to get here... What's the matter with them...

Mnemeth: I have no clue... Well, I'd better leave too... But I'm probably not going into the forest...it's cold outside, and I don't like the cold very much... (looks down at herself) Well, on the other hand, at least I got some clothing to keep me warm... OK, I'm heading for the forest! (she goes outside and heads toward the forest) Oh, great. There's a thunderstorm going on right near the forest. Well... (enters the forest) Hmmm... Looks fine to me... (looks around a bit and bumps into Ken)

Ken: Hey, watch where you're going!

Mnemeth: Ken! What a coincidence! Hey! What's that you got there?

Ken: You mean this? (holds up the red flower) It has Chris's scent...

Mnemeth: It does? Let me see it. (Ken hands the flower to Mnemeth) Hmmm... (sticks her tongue out at the flower)

Ken: Don't eat it!

Mnemeth: Eat it? What are you talking about? Don't forget I'm part snake! Anyways, you were right, I guess... But how do I know... I don't pay as much attention to scents as you do...

Ken: You're right... (looks to the west--he doesn't see a sunset anywhere) Hmmm... the sun has gone down...

Mnemeth: So it has.

Ken: Well, I don't know about you, but I gotta catch up on some sleep here. Haven't gotten very much lately...

Mnemeth: The opposite goes for me... Well, see you in the morning.

Ken: Bye. (he leaves)

Mnemeth: (a thunderbolt hits a tree near where Mnemeth is; it starts raining heavily) Uh-oh, the storm has hit!

Ken: (from a distance) I kinda knew this would happen... Great, now what do I do? Well, I guess I'll find a tree to sleep under...

Mnemeth: NO! The lightning might hit the tree!

Ken: Since when did you start worrying about me, huh?

Mnemeth: I just... don't like to see anyone get hurt...

Ken: Yeah, I guess... (thinks for a moment; a thunderbolt strikes the ground right next to Mnemeth)

Mnemeth: ! That was close! Well, I think you should be fine--after all, you're a forest spirit, and we're in the forest...

Ken: You're totally right! See ya later! (he leaves)

Mnemeth: *sigh* Now how am I going to protect myself from the storm? Uhhh... Using a little magic won't hurt, right? (she sits down under a nearby tree and forms a shield of dark energy around her) This oughta do. I'm protected on all sides... (a thunderbolt strikes Mnemeth from above but just hits her shield)! Whoa, that was a close one! I hope this doesn't go on forever... It shouldn't. The storm will eventually die down...

Ooc: No. And please try to roleplay others correctly. "Softspoken, kindly and gentle. He keeps to himself, but can be blunt when the need arises. A mysterious nature keeps himself safe from devulgeing too much to others." - My signup.

He doesnt sound like a 14 year old at the mall. ^_- Lol.
----
Ken: Hmmm. There should be a-.. Aha.

As the branches parted as they had been doing, he arrived at a massive tree, it alone being the 'king' of its domain. Sneezeing, Ken rubbed his nose erratically, murmering something about 'the lack of common sense' amongst the people he had met today- The Flower didnt smell of Chris. Chris smelt of something different than a human.. But then again, his sense of smell was a bit.... strong.

Ken: Enough of that folley..

His fingers once again began to trace his beard, as he suddenly lept upwards high into the tree's branches, his speed suprising the tree itself as he sat himself down on one of the larger branches, his tail lazily hanging off the side of it, as he closed his eyes, folding his hands in his lap, silently listening to the thunder rant on about thunderstorm's place in society, and the feeling of being underappriciated. Slowly, Ken opened one eye and breathed in deeply, before letting out a monstorous sound- A sound that was oddly exactly like the sound of thunder. His voice echoed upwards into the sky, and within a few seconds another clap of thunder caused him to shake his head.

Ken: ...

He closed his eyes again, leaning back against the trunk of the tree, sighing softly to himself. He slowly drifted into sleep, a calmness flowing throughout the forest as he did, but even within his sleep he felt Shayleigh within the forest, and kept a watchful eye on her, as forest spirits should do to all who enter the forest- Protect the Good, Persecute the Evil.

The wraith was on his way up the steps when the storm hit humans close by began to run frantically to get out of the weather, but his pace stayed the same. He had been caught in much worse weather than this. rain flowed off his cloak as he finally caught sight of the castle. He thought to himself(Well thes humans better have a good use for me. hmmmm. the storm seems strange....a bit......of darkness is with it, yes an omen of things to come. This should prove interesting.) With that he gave a great laugh as he strolled into the gatehouse

Shayleigh awoke and heard the first rumble of thunder but that's not awoke her from her meditive state that the elves call sleep, it was the peaceful feeling in her heart that told her someone was watching over her.
She didn't feel like sleeping anymore so she walked along in the forest, lifting her head to feel the rain hit her face. She looked back down again and saw a big tree almost in the middle of the forest. She immediately saw that someone was up there and she knew who.

Shayleigh: My greetings Most Honorable Forest Spirit. I am sorry for waking you but I have some things to talk to you about.

Ken opened one of his eyes and nodded at Shayleigh. She took this as an invitation and jumped agilily up into the tree. She sat down at looked at the sky.

Shayleigh: I know you feel the darkness getting stronger everyday. This very storm seems an omunious warning. We should make haste if we are ever going to stop the darkness.

Ken: I agree...
He said it so softly that if it was a human sitting with him they would not be able to hear him.
Shayleigh respected his privacy so she jumped down from the tree and rested a few feet away from the tree. All the while she could still feel that sence of security that made her fall into her state again.

Ken: ...

Ken's eye slowly opened, hesistant, and cautiously glanced around, the scent of the 'human' Chris growing strong suddenly. Opening his other eye, he stretched and hopped out of the tree, hovering to a quiet, easy landing so as not to wake Shayleigh. He sniffed a few times in the air, homeing in on where Chris was within the forest- The scent seemed to be coming from someplace near by the strength of it. But, Ken merely nodded, letting her be off to herself if she wanted to be- He had no right to intrude on her. With another hop, he regained his comfortable postion on the tree branch, wrinkleing his nose a bit as a droplet of rain landed on it. Glanceing up, he caught a glimpse of the shield that was covering the whole forest, protecting it from the storm- Or.. whatever this destructive force was- from damaging the forest.. if the shield holds.

Glanceing down to the bushes across from the tree he was in, he stared into them, softly sniffing the air as he did so. His eyes drifted back up to the storm, before he slid himself off the branch, hovering once more- This time headed for the bush. He stopped just 3 feet short of it, his gaze figuritively ripping through the bushes. He reached out and gestured, beckoning..

Ken: ... Come out, Chris.

The gaurds were terrifed at the sight of the rain drenched monster that approched. They became even more so when it spoke to them in a soft but devious voice "You there let me in, I have been summoned"
The gaurds hesitated, but very quickly shook their heads "no". The gaurds could see the reaction of anger in the Wraith even without having seen his face. They went snow white in the face as he walked up to them and said directly to their shivering faces, "Very well tell you master I await in the forest." Then walked away.......

The Wraith could smell the scent of several creatures as he entered the woods, there was an elfish being, a forest sprite, and somthing else that he hadn't smelt in a long time. It wasn't quite human but something else as well. He ambled on in the direction with an impulse to feed his curiosity.

Shayleigh: So everybody has decided to come to the forest. I thought humans like to sleep under their walls of stone.

Ken slowly lowered his hand to the ground, sniffing the air, snorting from the sudden drenching scent of a wraith. Make a light 'egh' sound, he sighed and slinked inbetween the leaves of the underbrush, going through them as if the leaves were curtains, parting for an actor who just did a performance on stage.

Ken: Of all the places to have a pep rally.. everyone had to come to this forest..

He shook his head as he walked deeper into the forest, drawing nearer to where the scent seemed to be orginating from, the calmness that resided in his soul keeping him from becoming scared at all. Silently, he exited from the underbrush and looked around, spotting Shayleigh staring deep into a nearby thatch of highgrass. Approaching her, he stopped and stood next to her, staring twards what she was staring at.

Ken: You saw something, yes?

Shayleigh: A tiger.. with purple strip markings across her body. It oddly reminded me of.. Chris.

Ken: !.. Where did 'it' go?

Shayleigh: That direction, at a fast pace.

Ken: Lets leave it be.. if my hypothesis is correct, then it is an ally. The wraith is the one we should check on.

Laitina felt her hand slip as she carried the vase from the well, and began to pour water into a large, silver bowl, shaped like a well. It was a mirror. A powerful mirror she could use to forsee things yet to come, thing that had already been, and some that were happening, but only as shadows.

She dipped her fingers in the water, and sprinkled some powder into it. Immediately, the water began to ripple as an image appeared on the surface of the water.

She stepped up, and faced the mirror, her silver-blue eyes sharp and anxious, yet calm and gentle. The water's ripples began to show an image. She stopped suddenly, and striked the water with her palm, destroying the image. She heard a rustle in the leaves, a breath taken.

Someone was watching her.

The dark wraith stepped through the heavy underbrush (he loathed forests, too cheerful) and happened upon a curios creature looking over a pool of water, it turnt and looked at him in fear.

Laitina: Who are you?............... What do you want?

Wraith: I am..........(seemingly can't remember his name) i'm....I was called Apok. I'm only tracking a curious scent and it isn't you so excuse me.

With that Apok left the creature and continued on going deep into the forest, where he then caught a glimpse of a tiger and a rather odd one at that. In fact it carried the same scent, and in an instant he began persuit after the tiger. As he followed he also picked up the scent of the forest sprite and an elf, he thought to himself (good let them follow then they will find out my purpose for being here.

Shayleigh: I agree. I do not trust wraiths and if this one is trying to harm this forest in anyway...

Ken: Let us not get too worked up over this.

She nodded again and they followed the foul sent that was the wraith. Shayleigh saw him up ahead and it seemed like everything that he stepped on in the forest wilted with some invisible posion. She tried to contain her rage but she could feel it building within her heart. Shayleigh felt something soft touch her shoulder. She looked over at Ken and saw that he understood her pain.

Ken: Remember...keep your feelings inside.

With that the two walk up to confront the wraith.
