Creature sounds so...so... beast-like. oO; ---------- Laitina placed the vase on one of the steps, and snapped her fingers, as the water in the mirror immediately disappeared. She followed the wraith, and stood by a tree that marked the boundary of her small forest. "You seem to be searching for someone." Laitina said, her fingers gently touching a branch. "Or something..." Apoc turned, and stared at her oddly, turning from the outside. "A scent." He replied. "It's coming from over there." Laitina's eyes turned to a bushel of low trees along the border. Her eyes slanted as she stared at the tree uneasily. "And why, might I ask are you following this? Following a scent? (the trees around her have fallen down; the place looks like something hit it) Now who could have done this? (a blue light appears in front of her) Blue light: There is a clearing near the forest right near where you are. Go there; everyone is waiting for you. (the light disappears) Mnemeth: OK, I guess I must go to the clearing... ???: I'm not so sure about that. (a wing sticks out one of the fallen trees) Mnemeth: Whoa, did your nest get destroyed too? ???: Nest? I destroyed this place! Mnemeth: ?!? And... who are you? ???: (leaps out of the tree; she looks like a cross between a griffin, a fairy, and a pink bird...) I'm Pepper, and my mission is to stop fellas like you from reaching your destination! Mnemeth: Excuse me, but I must go. (she walks away towards the clearing and sees Chris and the others) Wow, that thing was right--I am close! (shouting) Hey Chris! I'm here! Hope I didn't miss anything! Chris: (he didn't appear to be listening to what she said) Well, I guess Mnemeth isn't coming, so... Shayleigh: Of course she's coming! I heard her calling to you... (Pepper appears out of the bush) Pepper: *pant pant* Auuugh. That little creep sure is fast... (sees Chris) Hey! Where's Mnemeth? Chris: That's what I was about to say... Mnemeth: Right here! Pepper! You can sense it too eh forest sprite? Ken:...........yes i feel it as well, i'm sure we'll meet up with them. Apok: Curious, they seem to be exerting themselves physically. Chris listening in on the conversation now Chris: Could.....they be fighting something? Ken: yes, but they seem strong enough to handle it......... The day wore on as the group finally spotted the castle looming up in the distance, relief washed over Chris as the quest would be under way soon. He made a few "ah" noises, before finally letting out a booming "achoo", a white light surronding everyone suddenly. The light was bright to the point it was blinding, causeing them to close their eyes in a natural reaction. After around 10 seconds of this light, it died down to nothing, an odd rushing sensation blowing around them. Each of them opened their eyes, and to their suprise they were suddenly at the gates to the castle, a homeless drunk staring in amazement at them from the side. Ken idlely rubbed his nose, sniffling a few times, before walking foreward into the castle. He glanced back and beckoned them on.. [b]Ken[/b]: We were in a rush, werent we? [b]Chris[/b]: Why didnt you do that BEFORE?! [b]Ken[/b]: I didnt have to sneeze. You should be glad, the last time I sneezed I turned a warrior into a female dryad. He wasnt that happy, to be sure. Shayleigh: What's so funny? Apok: Uh?.......Oh! Nothing just thought of somrthing funny. Shayleigh: Yeah right............. as the walked through the gates Chris waved to the guards and the towering doors slowly gave way. Apok simply noded to the weak humans as the instantly recognized him, theirs faces went white. Ken: well it seems i'm not the only one who dispises wraiths Apok: Ha! [i]Shayleigh walked along the corridor and saw a door mark 'Shayleigh' with a piece of paper. She opened the door and saw a plain room with a fireplace, a bed, and a nighttable. Shayleigh sat on the bed but when she felt the softness of it decided to sit on the floor. She took out her bow and tuned it until the string was nice and tant and took her arrows to inspect them. It was the fire place that interested nemisis. With a quick prayer like chant the fire went out and nemisis settled himself into the still warm ashes, this was the bed he liked no comfey soft human bed would do. He thought to himself " this quest better get under way for if it doesn't the whole world will be in danger not just this nation. And this darckness wasn't ordinary, he had lied when he had told the forest spirite that i didn't hurt the wraiths, for it did it changed them into slaves for the darckness made them even more evil and treachorous." She walked down the corridor and looked at the first door, which belonged to Ken. The second door, which was on the right, belonged to Shayleigh. She passed a few more doors, which belonged to Apok, Nemisis, and Link. She came to the corner and turned right. The corridor continued there. She walked along the hallway but did not see any doors. Finally she came to a dead end. Still, her room was not found.[/i] Mnemeth: What... where's my room? Don't tell me I don't have one... [i]Mnemeth searched throughout the castle, looking for her room. Maybe the king put it somewhere else. While she was searching, Apok passed by her, giggling as he went.[i] Mnemeth: What's so funny? Apok: (puts his had over his mouth)(whispers)Good luck. [i]Apok walked on past. Mnemeth just barely managed to hear what he said. She walked on, still thinking about what Apok had just said. She eventually came to a door, and on it was a piece of paper splattered with blue ink. She looked carefully at the piece of paper, trying to read what it said. However, whatever was written on it was crossed out. She looked at the piece of paper, trying to guess what was written on it. Suddenly, she ran back to where Apok was and jumped right in front of him. [/i] Mnemeth: OK, wise guy, I know you're playing some sort of trick on me. :twitch: Apok: Wise guy? :laugh: Listen, human, you're not gonna get very far in this little adventure. Mnemeth: Now, don't you dare call me a human... :flaming: Apok: What? What did I do? Mnemeth: Well, I hope you know that I know that that's my room over there. (points to the door with the scribbled paper on it) Why? Well, I saw you coming this way. You whispered "Good luck" supposedly to yourself. And... looks at Apok's right hand; he is holding a pen) Gimme that. (she tries to snatch the pen away from him, but Apok uses his other hand to top her; he gets ink on his hand) Apok: What do you want with this pen? Mnemeth: (looks at Apok's left hand) Aha! Blue ink! Sorry, you'll just have to admit it. :smirk: Apok: :mad: QUIET, HUMAN!!! King: What's going on here? Apok, you must have some respect here! Apok: Hmph. [i]Apok and the king talked for a while. Meanwhile, Mnemeth headed toward her room and tried to open the door. It was locked![/i] Mnemeth: Great. He locked it too! But I can still get in... (she sticks her finger in the lock and shoots a tiny dark beam into it; the dorr opens) Yep, wrong again, Apok. [i]Mnemeth looks inside; the bed, table, and everything is on fire.[/i] Mnemeth: DARN! He set my room on fire! (to herself) Darn, how can I put it out? King: A fire?!? *glares at Mnemeth* Mnemeth: I didn't do it! Th room was [i]already[/i] on fire! *Apok giggles* Yep, I knew it. (to herself) Apok again... Apok: (to himself) Awww... poor weak little human... [i]Mnemeth suddenly had an idea: she hurried past Apok and the king, heading down the corridor containing Shayleigh and Nemisis' rooms. She came to Link's rom, which was at the end. Knowing that Link was absent, she tore the piece of paper off the door and entered. Inside the room was a bed, a table, and a fireplace. King: Starting a fire in the castle, who do they think they are..........(mummbles to himself) Chris: WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP!!!!!!!!!!!! Apok: Sorry that I am ususally awake at this time seeing that I'm a Wraith and all.......... Chris: OHHH yeah..............Well don't bother going to sleep we leave soon!
