Anime Newbie to Gundam

Hey ..i just started wwatching gundam and i think its really cool but i still have some questions ....
1. Who is the guy in Domon Casho's picture? Is it his brother ?
2.Neo England broke the gundam regulations by having more than one gundam i.e Neo England vs. Neo france and Neo Japan. ..why wasnt he disqualified?
3. How come there are so many varities of Dundam i.e G gundam, endless walt, Gundam Wing etc. They all have different chara. can some one clarify?

Remember that it was a surprising event, considering Chapman, England's fighter, was a respectable nobleman. It didn't matter with Neo Japan, since he lost against Domon.[/font][/color]

The Gundam series started in 1979 with [i]Mobile Suit Gundam[/i], a 50something-episode television series. Many movies and series were made after that, each with different characters. All the Gundam series took place in the same timeline, Universal Century, until [I]G. Gundam[/I], which was the first Gundam series from an alternate timeline, was released in Japan in 1994. After that, there have been Gundam series and movies from different timelines, including the original. [/font][/color]

Well i am also new to the gundam universe so let me answer questions 1 and 3.Okay your first question yes that is his brother who is now evil for some reason.Now number 3 Those are diffrent series they take place in diffrent time periods with diffrent characters and storylines.Sorry if i wasn't much help but like i said im new to the gundam universe.:)
