Adam
This is truly an epic day for theOtaku.com. Thanks to James, our famous forum administrator, we have an evolved logo and improved tabs on all of our pages. With the new tabs, comes two new features. Here's a description of each: Reviews: Tony will be heading up a site dedicated to pure anime reviews. This section will review both anime series, OVAs, and movies. It has a sophisticated php backend so you can sort through reviews and see which ones are most popular. reviews.theOtaku.com Greetings: We have almost 30 anime greetings already created. I like this site very much. Go through a very simple process and email your friends a custom-designed anime-themed greeting card. I'll think of a way to get a constant flow of new cards. For now, make use of what's there. ^_^ Also, a very special thanks goes to our staff hall-of-famer, Justin, for setting this baby up. greetings.theOtaku.com Right now, theOtaku.com is in a growth-stage. As such, we are striving toward my vision for what the site ultimately should be, before settling down. We're getting there. ^_^
liamc2
Wow, otaku is getting better? As in more graphically advantaged? Now that's a good enough reason to just go and take a stickybeak...
James
I hope everyone likes the improvements that have been provided thusfar. Adam has worked incredibly hard on these new sites and really deserves all our thanks. I really hope that OtakuBoards members start using our greeting card site as well. I think it's a really nice resource to further expand OtakuBoards and theOtaku.com ^_^
Valen
Oh my... I love this greeting card thing! Must get more animes! Erm.. yeah. Anyway, the site is really starting to become greater than it already was. Keep up the good work guys!
Kei
Wow. I must say that the new sites are very cool. And the tabs are much better than the last ones (*hugs James*). The logo is very cool as well. I hope you all make even more great sites like this, though I am wondering what "Guru" is...
Valen
Like it says, Only the guru knows... Haha maybe soon we'll have a better idea of what it is... Hey, can you guys put up a riddle or something for the pages not up yet? Just a thought...
Mnemolth
Hmm....been meaning to say something about the site for ages, but I figured you guys would just write me off as being negative, and where's the fun in that? ;) ...anyways... Good content. Layout needs a little. Specifically 'home' links, both the tab and the text one, link back to the same 'anime series/movie' homepage, which means visitor may have trouble getting to the theotaku.com's actual index page. Before the tabs were redone, one of them read 'More Anime' or something like that which led you back to the index page. It was problematic because there was, if I remember correctly, also a 'home' tab that did exactly what the one now is doing. In any case I was confused, so maybe that's something to work on. Cheerio. :D
James
You will notice that clicking on the logo will take you back to the front page. We have also included a second navigation menu at the foot of the page. ^_^
Syk3
Woah, great job Adam, James, and Tony! It just gives me one more reason to come to theOtaku, even though I work there and have a million reasons alreay. o.o' I really like the design at the top. It's a different feel to theOtaku, but I think it looks great. So...many...new...sites. *_* And even a Guru section that you have yet to do. >.< One thing I never saw coming was Tony working for theOtaku. That alone blew me away, lol. No offense was ment. ;)
MathGuy2
Who are those three people in the picture on the navigation bar of theOtaku? I can tell the middle one is James' avatar; are the rest somehow representing Adam and another staff or are they characters from an anime? You can learn more about it by reading this topic. -Shy
James
Actually, they are both from .hack//INFECTION. .hack//SIGN is a different series. I deliberately chose characters that we wouldn't use on the .hack//SIGN header. Still, I showed these ones to Adam...and we both adored their design. We thought that their bright and colourful style would really suit theOtaku.com. ^_^

Things lifewise have been rough here, so I'm hoping to get more of my own reviews up rather soon. Sometimes I'm under the impression that most people here think I don't like anime heh. Edit: I'm about to die. I had an entire stream of conciousness review of Grave of the Fireflies almost complete (we're talking probably two pages), and I messed it up. The entire thing is lost. I hope I can get the motivation back to write it over. Edit pt. 2: Okay, it's up. Not sure if it's as good as the original, but it was hard to remember what I said originally heh. 3 hours altogther now... took less time to watch the thing. Though, if I thought it about it, it's kind of hard to forget. ^_^ You guys should also check out the new Inuyasha site which Adam got up in record time. He did a lot with this site, so take the time to browse!!! theOtaku.com: Inuyasha
