I don't know if any of ya'all are metal heads or just like angry music. If you do I suggest Slipknot highly. Of course ya'all have already heard of Slipknot. Anyways, if you have what do you think of them? Favorite Song? Right now mine are [i][b]Wait and Bleed[/b][/i] and [b][i]Prosthetics[/b][/i] Heck if you want to, rate them from 1-10. Now, I really don't care for them and wonder what I saw in most of it in the first place. That's another story. I got into Slipknot because of their selftitled CD. I thought pretty much everything on it was a good track, and even though I'm not really fond of the CD now... You could tell there was a good deal of talent involved. Because of this, I sought out their first release: Mate Feed Kill Repeat. There weren't many copies made, and originals go for quite a bit of money. Of course, we're online... so I found what I needed. I was surprised to listen to some of the tracks, which while they were still very Slipknot, they had a Mr. Bungle style to them. It kind of disappointed me that Slipknot went away from this, but it's understandable. Time passed, I got away from metal... Iowa came out. I still liked metal at this point, but Iowa was one of the worst metal albums I'd heard in a while. I'll admit a good deal of metal is simply "noise," but generally it still had a musical sense to it. Iowa just seemed noise for the sake of noise, screaming just to scream. It didn't work for me, and as of now I couldn't care less for the band. I still do like MFKR though, especially Do Nothing/Bitchslap. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(mostly hated) but, then again, how can you follow up a record like "slipknot"? i got their self-titled a couple years ago and was very impressed. people say that slipknot is not talented. i disagree. just because you dont employ a flaming randy rhoads solo in every song (or at all, in slipknot's case) doesnt mean you arent talented. slipknot employ their talent in their layering and energy. They are a great band, I really enjoy listening to Iowa and blasting it. Hahaha Its fun, well, Slipknot is an old CD of theirs Lalrith, I would recommend you listen to Iowa... My favorite songs from them are Heretic Anthem and Disasterpiece... OH YEAH! Who else got their DVD?! Disasterpieces!!!! Mwhaha Its awesome, I recommend you not only check it out but BUY IT! I like loads more from their albums and still think they are a very good talented band. The fact that members are going off doing their own thing with other bands and still being apart of slipknot shows they have a bit of class. I think the masks are cool! Ken, you prolly know this song[I hope] Black Heart by them. I've looked everywhere to find the lyrics for them, but also, when I download it on kazaa... Cory and his band( which seems to have died down for awhile) just dont give a flying **Insert cuss words of your choosing here**. They do the whole antichrist thing to piss people off, and get there name spread. They are a great band however. Now [SIZE=1][b]MUDVAYNE[/b][/SIZE] , thats a band. They totally revamped there style, with the whole Zeta Reticuli alien thing. If you have not seen there new single, " not Falling" video, I truly suggest it. I'm more into the smooth and just soothing bands of the Classical Rock Age like Pink Floyd and so on. Just based upon that one song, I'd say possible a 6.5/10. I got the same feeling recently listening to the new Nirvana, after my girl (I am in love with still) left my town for good. I couldn't understand the words at first, but it was like the music spoke to me. Sounds corny, but true, and oh so damn painful as ever. :'( I miss her. My favorite songs are Spit it Out, Eyeore, Wait and Bleed, My Plauge, and The Heritic Anthem. SLipknot is the best band ever. I can't believe Corey is leaving to be with Stone Sour... I can't wait for Mick's new band to come out. My favorite member is Joey Jordison. Joey just kicks ***! In art class I made his mask and a clay statue of him playing his drum set.
