Sui Generis
Diuri looked at her again, then sat down next to her. He sighed. Diuri: I'm not sure....You're different and so am I.... Diuri looked up at the sky. His eyes blocked momentarily by the smoke surrounding him. He sighed. Diuri: Look at me...Not one race gets along with me. Noone trusts me, and I usually trust noone. Something was different about you though. I don't know what it was though. It first started off when I was trying to get out of the town. Those people are horrible. I saw two people screaming about demons so I decided to see what was going on. I finally tracked the demons, and when I arrived I saw you. You fascinated me for some reason...So I followed you against my better judgement. Diuri took a deap breath. He looked at the ground. A single flower stood in front of him. He plucked it softly. Twirling it in his fingers he though for a moment. When suddenly his thoughts were broken. Human voices were heard. Diuri jumped up immediatly and hid behind a tree hugging the ground. Li looked back towards him. Li: Whats wrong? The humans? They won't hurt you... Deedlit
Elsyan had arrived at the inn the night before, a little after sunset. Now sunlight came in through the window in her room. She stood up and stretched as she walked over to the window. It was a few hours after dawn. Elsyan frowned a bit. She had planned on leaving around the first hour of day. But then again, what hurry was she in? She sighed and shook her head as she pull on her shirt, skirt, and boots. She grabbed her white cloak off the peg on the door and fastened it around her shoulders. She grabbed her sword and left her room. She walked down the stairs and noticed that is was more crowded than what it was yesterday. Many looked at her suspiciously, but she pretended not to notice as she walked up to the counter. The clerk greeted her good-naturedly. Clerk: "Good morning, Miss. What can I get for you?" Elsyan: "Just a few apples and some water," she said as she gave him the key to the room and a few gold coins. Clerk: "You must have a journey ahead of you. Where ya bound for?" Elsyan shrugged. Elsyan: "Don't know, don't care." Clerk: "You might want to be careful. Some person came in last night with talk of a demon in these parts." The clerk stared at her closely. Clerk: "Say, aren't you a Quastrali? Rumors are going 'round that all the Quastrali were killed when their village burned down, then the survivors died from a plague of sorts and that there's no more of 'em left. You being here ends that rumor right now. I'm glad that it was just a rumor and not true." Elsyan's expression grew grim as she answered him slowly. Elsyan: "No...It wasn't a rumor...It's true. All of my people died...I'm the last of the Quastrali..." Clerk: "Oh! I'm sorry to hear that, Miss. I thought--" Elsyan: "It doesn't matter...What's done is done, and one can't change the past." Elsyan sighed deeply. "I should be going now." Clerk: "Right. Sorry I held you up. Here's your apples and water. Anything else you may need?" Elsyan: "No, thank you." Elsyan took the bag of apples and flask of water and left the tavern. She then headed towards the gates that led to the city's exit.

Juu
Laitina started up the stairs, after placing the vase back in place. She hesitated suddenly, and turned around. There was a scent in the air. Something unnatural... something unfamiliar. She turned and stepped down the stairs, silently walking to a statue that marked the boundary of her sacred forest. She looked down, and saw two figures about, and many others lying on the ground. She eyed one figure to her left, which was where the scent had come from. "He must be a new race." She thought, leaning over and studying him carefully. She placed a hand on the statue, and stepped down from her place. Laitina's silver-blue eyes pierced at the two. She put a hand in the air as a chill ran down their spines, causing them to stop in place. "You have entered the boundary of the Forbidden Forests." Laitina said, her voice gentle. "It is forbidden to those who do not bring good fortune to the wood." Li turned around, and stared at her oddly. "What is your business here?" Laitina implied, her eyes narrowing at the two strangers.

Juu
Laitina placed a finger to her chin and disappeared, reappearing in front of them. Her cold eyes glared as she solemnly stood in front of the two. "No one leaves the forest once they have entered." She hissed, her gentle voice growing cold. "The forest is enchanted. Those who leave without offerings to the gods will not leave the forest safely." Li chuckled, and crossed her arms. "Looks like an ordinary forest to me." She replied, glancing at her surroundings. "The Forbidden Forests form a triangle throughout the wood. There is Platina, my forests, Arhm'gul, across the bridge where demons, orcs, and creatures of shadow exist, Carias, the wood we are in now, and Sara'dum, the eastern part of the wood. These forests have guardians over them all. They are watching even as we speak." Diuri looked up, and stared uneasily at the trees. He didn't like the feeling of the trees, and he heard a voice echo throughout the branches of the trees. "What kind of offerings?" He asked, rising. "We carry no trinkets." Laitina's eyes eased, as her gentle warmth returned. "The gods do not seek trinkets, my lord." She replied. "All they need is for those who enter to pass a test. Then they will let you pass."
DeathKnight
Ken: This is refreshing.. He sank lower into the water, his messy hair floating idlely on the surface as he descended deeper. He closed his eyes, and completely dunked under, mentally sighing as he did. Vague thoughts drifted through his mind, several bubbles of air drifting from his mouth to the surface, popping lightly as they did. Floating upwards back to the surface, he grabbed a nearby vase filled with a liquid soap. It let out a sweet aroma as he lathered himself down with it, whipeing the stubborn dirt and grime away that hadnt given up with just the water. Setting the vial down, he grabbed another one and let it flow into his hair, lathering it up as he had with the soap. Setting that too to the side, he dunked under the water again, whipeing all the soap off. Sinking downwards into the water again, he drifted back into thought, refreshed but still confused..

Sui Generis
Diuri stayed in the shadows watching the two talk, as he normally did. He watched Li intently. He was going to figure her out. He listened to them talk as he began thinking. A leaf fluttered by his face knicking his noise. He awoke from his thoughts just in time to see Li do the samething. He frowned. That was odd. He didn't remember what he was thinking about. He shivered. All he knew was it wasn't good. Diuri kept a straight face as Li spoke. He smirked slightly as he remembered that these people couldn't see his face. He needed to relax. Just then Laitina turned to Diuri Laitina: Well? How about you? Sat there for a moment thinking again. He shook as memories flooded in. Flashes of dead bodies, demons, his home, walking away from it. He snapped back. Diuri:.....Yes..... Juu
Laitina eased as she glanced at the sun slowly beginning to set in the west. A breeze swept her hair back, strands of light blond hair lightly swaying behind her. She looked to the forest in the east, where the breeze had come from. She smiled lightly as she looked back at Li, then at Diduri. "You will enter the forest in the east. Sara'Dum." She replied gently, gesturing to the wood. "There is a spring there. You are to fill a vase with the water there." Li's glance shot up, her eyes oddly fixed on Laitina. She brushed herself off as she rose and walked over to her. "Fill a vase with water? That's the-..." Li paused and looked over the goddess suspiciously. "Wait. There's something in there, isn't there?" Laitina smirked, as her eyes narrowed and brightened. "There may." She replied. "You must find your way to the spring. I will use the water for the remaining test. But first, you should get some rest. Here, come with me." Laitina turned around, and headed back towards Platina, stopping once and waiting for the others to follow.

Juu
Laitina nodded, and lightly smiled at Li as she stopped and faced them. "Yet you may bring trouble, it is at least you bring these with good intention." Laitina spoke softly, her face lightening. "Yes, I try." Li replied, nodding once and following her towards a hill. "It's just-... I don't know." Laitina stopped walking once more, and walked closer to Li. "Do not let these troubles heavy your mind. I am sure you will be welcomed here by the gods. For now, we will enter Platina, a sarcred place of my kin." She replied, gesturing to a hill ahead. "Do not disturb the statues, they are ones who have lived once before, and their spirit yet remains." "The statues are alive!? Are they guardians?" Diduri exclaimed, staring bewilderingly at the statues up ahead. "Indeed, my lord." She said, glancing at him. "They were once great guardians, and each have fallen with honor during the last battle. Yet they continue to protect Platina, their eyes watching its borders."
Frankie
Li: Ah ok....... umm..... shoot... i wonder what kind of trouble i would bring if i were to change into my true shift form.... thats about the only form i can be in to rest... other then a huge black dragon but.... umm.... that would probably ... cause a little to much comotion.... and take p way to much space... Both looked at her strangely Li: But... OH WELL in a poof of red smoke she changed to her hanyo form.. AKA half demon half human..... she walked over to a small patch of gras away from everything... .warped her wings and tail around her and closed her red eyes... she began to.....rest sleep or.... energize... shes never really asleep for she is always alert..... But she rests.. The others just stared at her oddly... of course the smokey like one... kept trying.... to figure her out..... Suddenly she began to levitate.. about.. 2 feet off the ground... she kept her posiotion but.. it was like something invisible was holding her up.. She grinned and waved her tail under her Li: Nothing... i do this most of the time... normal... dont let my form... or abilitys... bother you Both shook their heads and said it was fine... Corey
Finnaly the hotel attendant came out from the back room. I watched his face carefully. He didn't like that I was halting payment on my room. I could tell. The left side of his face kept on twitching. He laid the paperwork on the desk for me. Attendant- "Sign these and your room will no longer be reserved." He smiled at me, but I saw nothing except hate behind his saleman eyes. I was handed the fountain pen and show where to sign. I smiled at him and skimmed the agreements. They all seemed fair. I gave my signature away and handed the papers back to him. He smiled at me, always the salesman, and I walked out of the door. I took out the rubbing and looked at it again. Still just "vault" and "library". Well the library had been around for almost 2000 years. It was almost as old as that tablet had looked. I looked around the square and saw a small hut. A smile touched my lips as I headed across the busy street. Man- "Get out of the road!" I was almost ran over by a man on a horse-drawn cart. I flicked a sign at him and contiued on. Soon, I got to the hut and knocked on the door. ??- "Whos it?" A croaky old voice asked. Ryan- "It's Ryan. Can I come in?" I heard a scuffling inside and the door opened. ??- "Ryan! It's been almost a month. Where have you been? I made tea! Do you want some? Come in!" I smiled and walked into the hut. "What can I do for you? Do you want more tobacco? I just got some from Julk." Ryan- "No. I'm fine. How have you been Ricky? Feeling good? Healthy?" Ricky- "Yes, yes. How have you been?" I smiled. Ryan- "Good. How is Grotto? Still with you?" His mood darkened slightly. Ricky- "Yeah... He's still here. You want to speak with him don't you." I nodded. Ricky sighed. "I need some tea..." I stood up and gripped his shoulders. Ryan- "If you don't want to, you don't have to." He shrugged of my hands. Ricky- "For you, Ryan, anything." He sat down and sipped his tea. "Ok, I"m ready. Gimme the stuff." I took out a little vial of purple powder and gave it to him. He uncorked it and sniffed all of the powder up his nose. He gave a shudder and his face begna to change. Nothing physical happened but the entire mood of his body and the room changed. Early in Ricky's life he had been possesed. The spirit had been very old and never full left him. I can bring him out if I need him. The sprit is very wise, but very moody and often angery. Grotto- "What do you want Langthian? I was busy! Ask what you need and let me go." I unfolded the paper. Ryan- "What does this say? Speak or I will keep you in this vessel." He laughed and read the rubbing. Grotto- " 'The first vault is in the library. A step forward is what your quest needs, Mr. Schezar. Seek out you noisy friend.' Happy? Now return me to the spirit world. I waved my hand and Ricky reappeared. Ricky- "Did he help?" I noded. Ryan- "If I could have a cup of tea to go, Ricky." He smiled and got me a cup. "Will you come back and see me?" I smiled large. Ricky- "Of course." I stepped out into the light. What's a vault... Whatever it was it involves the noisy man at the library. I turned that way and strted walking. Juu
The sun had set. A white light, bright enough to be a star marked the gate of Platina. The gates were made of candle light, with two statues at each side. Laitina approached them, and placed her palm in the air, vertically facing the gate. "Ari'este'kari'adua" Laitina said, the light at the gate glowing brighter as a small gem on her neck glowed as well. The two were gems which were connected. The White Star. The Platina White Star was the main gem, placed at the top of a castle in the center of the wood. Laitina carried a smaller portion of the gem. The Platina White Star responded to Laitina's, as the gate slowly began to open, and the three entered. "Welcome to Platina." Laitina spoke softly, gesturing towards the gate. Li glanced around, still hovering slightly off the ground. She glanced at the tall trees in awe as the breeze swayed like whispers in the air. Her eyes focused on small gems in the trees, which all seemed to glow as each of the other stars glowed. Laitina's and Platina's were glowing dramatically, the other gems guiding them towards the spring which was her home. "You will eat inside the castle. Then, you will sleep out here. It will be more comfortable outside, for the soil here is enchanted as well. Do not worry about demons or orcs. The guardians will protect you." Laitina stated. "I am not afraid of Demons and Orcs. Neither am I worried." Li replied. "Let them come. I will defeat them all." Li continued down the path, face glowing as the gems let off a white light to the visitors. ---------- Just in case... here's the picture of Platina again. ^_^'

Sui Generis
Diuri studied Li for a moment. His silver eyes glinted in the sun. He frowned slightly. Diuri:: Don't say that. All life is important. Every object has a roll in life. Even an outcast. Even a shadow like me. We all hold some portion of the future in our hands. We may go on for all our lives wondering what our roll is, but we'll never know untill it is done. I may have just discovoered what my roll in life is. Diuri shifted his weight. He was uncomfortable with talking. He felt insecure. Laitina looked at Diuri for a moment then smiled. Laitina: You are wiser than you think you are, young Veyan. Diuri looked at Laitina for a moment. That was something he hadn't heard in ages. Noone had ever called him what he was. He wanted to forget what he was. But he couldn't. He was...a Veyan. He nodded towards Laitina. He turned around covering up the shock in his face, before he realized they couldn't see his face. He sighed. He hated it. Noone knew him. Noone knew what he looked like. He was an outcast. Noone cared. A silent tear ran down his cheek. It quickly turned black and fell to the ground. A small black spot stayed on the ground.
Corey
I walked into the library and immediately heard shouts of anger. I walked quickly to the back and found the man that had been muttering to himself fending off three gaurds with a long wodden staff. Man- "Back! You won't take the Items!" The gaurds gave eachother a puzzled look and sliced the staff in two. The man looked at it, dumbfounded then sat down. I walked up to the gaurds and did a quick mind control spell. The three of them walked away, seemingly to have forgotten something of importance. The man looked up at me. "Who are you? Why did you help me?" Small tears rolled down his face. "They broke my staff..." I helped him up and sat him down at a table. Ryan- "What do you know about vaults?" The mans eyes narrowed sharply. Man- "Who are you!" He repeated, sternly. I sighed. Ryan- "My name is Ryan Schezar. I am a Dark Wizard, or Langthian if you prefer. Earlier in the day I discovered a large stone tablet engraved with an old Elvish language. I took it to a possesed man and allowed the spirit that possesed him to tell me what it said. It talked about my quest and a vault, here in the library." The man stared at me. I blinked. He blinked. Slowly, he raised a hand. Man- "Can you see the doorway?" I looked to where he was pointing. Ryan- "What doorwa-" As I was looking at the bookshelf that contained books oh different herbs, a portion seemed to dissapear. My mouth dropped open. Man- "You see it! What does it resemble?!" I stood up and walked closer. There were threads of blue silk, that looked almost fluidic, coming from the top of the doorway. Ryan- "Water... A waterfall..." The man inhaled sharply. Man- "The Vault of Water... The book was right..." His hand went to his pack and caressed it. I was now right in front of the doorway. I put my hand out and brushed at the threads. They felt like nothing at all, but parted with my touch. I stepped in. "Where did you go! Schezar! Where did you go!" I looked back to see the man grouping at the doorway. It seemed to have formed a shield-like barrier between him and the passage. Ryan- "I'm in a passageway. Can you get in?" He banged his fists where the doorway had been. Man- "No!" I nodded to myself. Ryan- "What is this place?" Man- "It's the Vault of the Water Necklace. Inside you will find the Water Necklace and The Armour of Stamina. They are two of many ancient artifacts that will ward off the coming evil! Let me in damn you!" He banged again but in vain. Ryan- "I'm going further. I'll be back soon." He protested but I just went. Perhaps this is why I had felt incomplete. Maybe this would solve the ache in my heart. I brushed away another waterfall of silk and found myself in a spacious room. Every inch of the walls were incrusted with dark blue stones. The cieling ended in a large dome which dipicted the ocean. As I stepped in, a hum filled the air. In the middle of the room a pedistal rose from the floor. On the pedistal was a maniquin, it looked like a man but with pointy ears. It was an Elf. Blue mist surrounded the figure and there was a suit of armour, and a blue necklace on it. The armour looked lighter than Mythril and as flexible as rubber. The necklace seemed to pulse with a hidden power. I walked up to it, entranced. I put out my hand slowly. I brushed the blue stones that made up the necklace. The hum suddenly grew louder. Small streams of water seemed to drip from the necklace. I took a step back and was blasted with a gigantic jet of water. It sent me flying back through the tunnel and out of the doorway. I collided with the man and sent him reeling as well. The water seemed not to go past the doorway. I hit a bookshelf and crumpled to the ground. The man rushed over to me. Man- "What happened?! Why don't you have the necklace?" I coughed and stood up. I was soaked. Ryan- "It didn't want me. I heard it say a name, but couldn't make it out. The person is near though... In the city. It's calling to him..." ------------------------- All of the water in the bathing hall suddenly turned boilding hot. Ken jumped out, his bathing disurbed. Ken- "Wha..." The water turned to ice. Then it changed back to normal water. Ken looked down at it, confused. A small stream of water had rose from the tub and floated in mid-air. "What sorcery is this..." It seemd to look at him. Ken dressed slowly, not wanting to be exposed if he needed to fight. The water waited patiently untill he had put on his last garment. It then began to float slowly out of the door. Ken followed, already getting an odd image of the library in the back of his mind.

Juu
Laitina tip toed upstairs to the main building radiantly, the wistful, crestfallen trees ever lightly swaying at the breeze. The mellow clouds above blanketed the moon, dimming its light against the star. She looked down apon her forest. Her home. She looked to the east, and saw a dim light within. The trees were reflecting its shadow, three figures marching west on foot. Laitina looked back to the clouds, and sighed heavily. It had been so long since she had talked to anyone. Her voice felt unfamiliar now. She hadn't seen anyone enter within the forest for centuries, yet the presence of Li and Diduri... felt peaceful. She entered a chamber inside the building, opening a glass case and removing a small, diamond-like gem. She held it in her palm, twindling it with her forefingers, studying it with her ice-blue eyes. Laitina placed it back on the case, and placed her palm a few inches over the glass case. She sealed it with a blue aura of light, enchanting it with her magic. If that gem was removed from the tower, the forest would fall, and the forbidden forests would no longer be a sacred place. Laitina walked down from the tower, the grey cobblestones damp with dew. She walked by the two, who had fallen asleep peacefully. She walked past Diduri, where she saw a white light in the ground. It was glowing lightly, marking the place where a tear had been shed. The test would begin the next morning, once the two had been fed and rested. Laitina smiled gently as she walked back to the tower.
Frankie
Li glances at her as she walked by... li asent really asleep... she never could sleep.. .she grew tired of the nightmares... so she gave up sleep... she just layed there and listned to the nature around here... Nature seemed to be... A part of her.. .she felt for at home in nature then she was in a town or around other people or races... Her planet was covered in tons of strange trees and grasses... so she sort of felt at home... but this place just wasent...HOME... Li let out a soft sigh and rolled onto her back...she started at the sky...well what she could see of it.. .and she just eyed the area around her.... she sighed and wanted to fly... just around... so quietly she shifted to a hawk and flew around overhead a while... not leaveing or running... jsut feeling the cold calm breeze and wind under the wings... she felt free and at peace when her mind was on flying..instead of the past
Juu
Laitina awoke, gazing apon the periwinkle sky. "Alas, morning has come." She whispered to herself. "A new day has begun." Hurrying over to the two, she gave to each of them a slice of bread and fresh milk. Li's eyes opened, and looked down at the breakfast she had prepared. The bread was still warm, and the milk was a ricker white than any other she had seen. She wasn't very hungry, nor in the mood to eat. Although, she forced a smile meekly, and took it without question. Diduri stared awkwardly at the bread, then the milk. He hadn't eaten for days, and when Laitina had said 'feast', he had pictured something a little different. Also forcing a smile, he bit a loaf of the bread. When he swallowed, it seemed as if he had just swalloed a whole meal. Bewildered, he took another, feeling rather full after the second bite. It was early in the morning, about 5 o'clock. The dew had not yet dampened the trees, and the soil was still moderate from the sun before. There were still stars in the sky, glitting about. "I hope you are rested. You will leave for the test soon." Laitina walked over to the well, and withdrew a larger vase, very much like the one she used. "You must fill this with water of the Spring of Sara'Dum." Diduri turned to the East. He could see past the hills and trees, and the sun yet seemed to be far from rising. "I do not see a spring." He spoke, peering into the thick wood. Laitina placed the vase in his hand. "The springs are no more than a mere illusion to mortals." She walked back to the well, and poured the remaining water in her vase into the mirror. Motioning for the two to come, they stepped to the mirror, and watched it carefully. "It is hidden. Your minds will guide you as long as you are open to your surroundings." An image appeared into the mirror, showing a few thick willow trees, seeming to be thousands of years old. The mist was thick in the area. Most of the trees were ancient. There were two boulders at the entrance of the pool, marked with strange heiroglyphics. "What do they say?" Li asked, observing the walls carefully. "They read: Pure must be the minds of these who dare tresspass these gates, for whether these bring luck or nor, the guardian will tell." Laitina replied. "The guardian will tell? What kind of guardian?" Diduri asked, his eyes flickering. "That, you will find on your own. You must leave now, the hour grows late. The spirits do not welcome travelers freely for too long. Hurry."
