Paintball?

I remember seeing a thread about this a long time ago but now that I'm interested I thought I might ask.

Does anyone play paintball? I just got into a few months ago and now I think about it all the time. There's just something about it, but it is a VERY expensive hobby in my eyes. If you do or don't play then what do you think about the sport?

I've only done it once. The dean of our highschool organized it, and about 30 of us went on a Saturday to a place that does that stuff. We had to rent their guns (you could bring your own, but they would lower the shot velocity), and of course buy their paint balls... I think I wound up buying nearly $100 of paint balls over the entire day. It was some of the most fun I've had.

There was this one section at the place that kind of resembled a village. We played about two games there, and each time would start on one side trying to capture the other's flag. Somehow this kid I knew (who I liked on and off, he was a prick heh) thought no one could see him behind this little wall. I emptied my entire carton of paintballs onto him, and in the meantime he was screaming something like "Where the hell is this coming from!?!?" I must say it was a great thing heh :). The place had smokebombs that covered huge areas, as well as paint grenades... I don't remember many getting used though.

I've not done it since, but my step-dad is somewhat into that stuff. He has quite a few really expensive guns packed away in our basement.

Well, I haven't actually had any experience but have heard alot about it. We have a apintball center here in Canberra and it's about $30. So not THAT expensive if you do it once a month and have a job.
But here's the icing on the cake.
There is a large paintball place in queensland. How large you ask? Well the campaigns last for a week, yes a week over forests streams and plains. Though no littering or leaving cannisters around. So if you and some friends go to paintball every month and then in december or something go on a campaign it's...*does math*.
$530 per annum. Really most people spend more than this on the internet and movies every yead. Think about it.

I've been a few times with friends, its not all that expensive over here, It's was £20 for the day, which included Rental of the Guns plus 100 paintballs (any more you had to buy seperatly), rental of a boiler suit to go over your clothes and a mask, Food at lunch time.
In my opinion that was amazing for the price, we had six games through out the day in 3 areas, which made it 2 games in each.
It was the most fun that I had for along time, and I'm trying to organize another trip.

I have been leaning toward plaing paintball for about three months now. My friend offered to sell me a gun and 500 paintballs for fifty bucks. I almost did but I didn't have the money at that time. Maybe one of my oaychecks will go towrd a gun and some ammo in a month or two.

I'm selling a new spyder e-99, it's only used once. 150$. It's electric and has semi-auto, 3 round burst, 6 round burst, and full auto and you can adjust the rate of fire and everything.

I shoot about 700 paintballs a day and my friend who gets more money shoots about 1500 paintballs. I have a season pass and equipment so I only pay for air and paint. My local field has 7 fields and I like it a lot.

I play whenever I can. It's really fun. There is something about the thrill you get when you sneak behind the enemy then charge out gun blaring and tag all of them. ^_^

I've never actually played paintball before, but it looks really fun, and I want to at least try it out. There was this one time when I went over to a friend's house, he had some paintball guns and paintballs, so we went out back and shot some targets. That was pretty fun; I hit it more times than he did. ;)

I think I was kind of hesitant at first about playing paintball. First of all, I was certain that I would ruin a shirt if I got hit, and I suppose the people I talked to made it out that it hurt when you got hit. Since then, I've learned that they made some paintballs that don't stain, and that it doesn't really hurt.

I'd really be up for playing, but I don't have a lot of money, and don't have any equipment, either. Oh well, pehaps in a few years if one of my friends invites me to a match.

I have been paintballing twice but its very expensive to have it as i hobby unless of course you have alot of money hehehehe. I really enjoyed it though and wasn't that bothered whether i got hurt ( even though i did about twenty times.) they have some cool game modes you can do, i went to one in england and you could do like capture the flag and a protection game when one person on your team is the president and you have to protect them while they get to the other side of the field.

It only has one setting? They should build more and at least have man made obstacles.

*dies* God, paintballing looks awesome. I am desperatley in need of money to get a paintball gun and a mask. A bunch of my friends go paintballing in a huge ditch almost every weekend. I came once, using a halloween mask and my friend's old and rusty paintball gun. My halloween mask doesn't block paintballs to well. I had a welt on my forehead for a long time. =] I can aim pretty good too. My old (skate)board is used for target practice. Once I get some gear, I'll be paintball-man.

I like playing PaintBall! It's sooo fun! It hurts bad when your shot up close but it's still fun. One time my sister was wearing a light jacket and a thin short sleeve shirt and i shot her up close, and she has a Black whelp on her stomach just a little bigger that a paint ball. My neighbor, me, my sister, a couple of my friends and cousins play every weekend in my back yard because i have a paintball field in my back yard. it's huge

I went once with some guys from work (back when I actually worked.. now I'm just a student).. the only problem was that I wear glasses, and they steamed up. Not only that but the mask steamed up too.. at least when one of them does you can at least see something.. but I had two layers of steamed up surface between me and outside. Surprisingly, I didn't get "killed" all that often.

edit: ooo... 999th post... *savours the moment*
