Omar Harris
Originally posted by Arikel What can anyone tell me about the new Terminator movie coming out? I need info people!
I know for a fact that production was held up because not only was the movie over-budget but Arnold Scharzeneger was demanding more money that the already over budgeted production crew could not afford. But it will be released I believe either in Spring or Summer of this year. The story has a third Terminator. If you recall, Arnold played two different Terminators, one evil in "Terminator" and one good in "T2: Judgement Day", both of whom were destroyed. Whether this third Arnold Terminator will be good or evil is sketchy. If I recall MTV's report, Arnold mentioned that he will be good at one point and evil at another, or my ears were failing me at that moment. But we do know that James Cameron (writer and director of both of the originals) will not be involved nor will Linda Hamilton (who played Sara Connor). Eddie Furlong will be back as a grown-up John Connor, and the villain is a female Terminator. I think it may finally take place in the future, but production crew aren't giving any specific plot details other than what I have mentioned. And if I recall, I believe there will be a T4 as a possible conclusion to the series.
Hybrid
I havent heard much about T3, but what I do know is that Arnie returns as the Terminator (despite being 55!), once more sent back in time to protect the now 18-year-old John Connor from another Terminator. This time the bad guy is a girl - a female Terminatrix played by Kristanna Loken. Ed Furlong isn't returning as John and he will be played by Nick Stahl. Claire Danes also stars. I can't wait till this comes out. :D
Omar Harris
I read a few reports that he was making a comeback as John Connor. But, my information isn't the best so take what you will as fact.
Semjaza
Judging from the previews and shots I've been seeing over the past few months... That definately isn't Eddie Furlong as John anymore. Like Hybrid said, it's Nick Stahl. I was kind of looking forward to it... But the previews kind of lessened my hype. They seemed too cheesy. Who knows though. Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
Overall at this point every T fan has to ask themselves was in honestly worth making another film. In my opinion no but so far apparently the T-100 is back again, to protect John Conner from a female Terminator called the T-X this terminator unlike the rest is basically an assassin and will never stop hunting it's prey till it is destroyed! *we've heard this all before folks* Among some of the other cool features this terminator apparently has a powerful laser gun that shot out of her arm. Among other things I know, apparently the Rise of the Machines will be the chapter in which the war that we've been hearing about in the last 2 movies will begin. So at this point I'm thinking that this will infact be the last T movie mainly for the fact Arnold by the time 4 would come around would be too old and extremely over paid for the budget. That's all the information so far released about this movie, rumor has it Clair Danes may be in this film as John Conner's Girlfriend, and another intereting fact this movie will be released July 3, 2003, though like with any movie dates are subject to change.
