What the....? Pokémon Black? Ruby and Sapphire practically just came out in Japan and are yet to be released here in the US. I severely doubt that there is a Pokémon Black game in the works right now. It's more than likely just the latest rumor in a various collection from around the Internet....

Yeah, it's just a rumor right now. Like the rumor of a Pokemon Topaz, though they probably will have it, right now it is just a rumor.

Just keep your eyes peeled. Nintendo Power is usually the first to get any updates, so check with them if you have any doubts.

Woah yeah it could just be a rumour, or a fake game. I went on holiday and was tricked into buying a pokemon green game lol. It was the exact same as pokemon blue, which got me annoyed. I took it back and they argued to give back my money, but eventually I got it back. There were loads of other fake games about pokemon that weren't to do with the series, whether they will ever be released I just don't know. They could be hits in Japan not sure.

Black hmmm you never know. :)

Pokémon Green is a real game. In Japan, they originally released Pokémon Red, Blue, and Green, one for each of the original starters. For the release outside Japan, they just combined Green with Red and Blue, so that you only had to trade between two different versions to get all 150 Pokémon, instead of three.

Lol...I had various ideas for a game that I would have called Pokémon Black. As for rumors, they're almost definitely false. There have just been way too many rumors about fake Pokémon games (Pokémon Diamond, anyone?) for me to trust anything like this. If it doesn't come from Nintendo, I usually won't believe it.

Yeah, I also wouldn't believe anything that Nintendo themselves haven't announced. Pokemon Black does sound pretty convincing, but whilst still only releasing Ruby and Sapphire in Japan, they may just be in the beginning of planning it (that's if the rumour does turn out to be true).

Pokemon Green's graphics SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thats all that you need to know about it lol.
Lol, they're exactly the same as Red and Blue's graphics. And besides, this is a Game Boy game we're talking about--the graphics in all old Game Boy games suck.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo isn't planning a third version to go along with Ruby and Sapphire, like Yellow with R/B, and Crystal with G/S. But, I doubt it'd be called Pokémon Black; it'd probably be named after some other precious gem. And I still won't trust anything that doesn't come from Nintendo anyway, even if they did come out and say that they're working on another Pokémon game.

More than likely, knowing Nintendo, they will, and Desy-B's and G/S/B Master are right. It'll probably be named along the lines of Pokémon Emerald or something to that extent. Hopefully they'll have a new plot for all of them, because the current has become quite boring over the past five or so years....

Gah, you can say that again, they're all along the lines of: Get start Pokemon, do lots of gyms, meet Team Rocket and beat them, do more gyms and get very rare last Pokemon. Nevertheless, I still like the games very much. ^_^

*yearns for 3D-adventure Pokemon game with good story*

Pokemon Diamond does NOT exist. If your fried does in fact have this game, then he or she has been ripped off. He or she really just has a differrent Japanese game that has been pirated and given the Pokemon title.

There's no might about it. They will use PKMN Black as a name... Ruby and Gold were just rumors, but they came out quickly.

Though... PKMN G/S/C/Y were all rumors made by regular Pokefans like yourselves that were bored and wanted something to do. Somehow Nintendo of Japan overheard the names commonly used by the Pokefans around the world and decided to use them...

Well, that's my random input for today...

Ruby and Gold? Gold is already out... I assume you mean Ruby and Sapphire, right?

And yeah, they could use Pokémon Black as a name, but it's not definite, at least not that anyone outside of Nintendo knows. Just because Nintendo has ended up using made up names doesn't mean they'll use this one.

What would Pokemon Black even be about? I'd like a game where you get to join Team Rocket; maybe that's what Pokemon Black would be...
Yeah, I had thought of that a long time ago, just a little after Yellow had come out. Maybe make two games, Pokémon Black, and Pokémon White. In Black, you could be part of Team Rocket, trying to take over cities and stuff, and eventually the whole world. In White, you could play as a Pokémon trainer trying to stop Team Rocket.

It would be nice to have some sort of 3D RPG with Pokémon--one with a real storyline--but the truth is, you can't have every monster with every stat, and still expect there to be room in the programming for the story, too. =\
I think Nintendo should try something Spyro/Banjo-Kazooie/Jak&Daxter-ish. You know, be able to go to different worlds and collect items and money, unlock new worlds, new characters. You wouldn't have a chance to play as every mon, but maybe the enemies could be Pokémon, and, instead of character moves like Buttstomping and Punching, you could use a Pokémon instead (I can see using Snorlax for the butt-stomp move).

It's a thought.

If they do it on the GCN, they'd have plenty of room for whatever they want to put in. Those discs hold 1.5 gigabytes, which is plenty of space.

As for a Pokémon platformer...I don't know. It might be neat, but I can't really see there being all that much too it.

Heheh... Good to know I'm not the only one that calls the pound the ground type moves butt stomps, lol. :D

I could. If you could play as a Pokémon rather than a human, that awould be interesting. Encountering other Pokémon and things, going on side-quests, sort of a Zelda-type thing, with Mewtwo as the boss at the end.

.... Now I've heard everything...

Ew...Horrible Snorlax thought....

I wouldn't mind seeing an actual Pokemon fighting game, SSB:M style. Granted, you wouldn't get much on the GBA, though, but it could be something the N64 (whoops, regressed a bit there)... I mean GameCube could handle.

I think a Team Rocket version of Pokemon would be great. I'd like to see how it would work. Maybe... you just had to catch a certain number of Pokemon by a certain checkpoint? Or maybe just to get as much money as possible, maybe by stealing Pokemon for clients or the boss. I can't see it being that much different to the other games, though (bearing in mind I've only played Red). But I guess with most of these things all you can really do is make a new gimmick for it.
