G.D. Ryoko
:wigout: At school I like to duel. I am the only girl duelist in the eighth grade. My friend D.M.(duel master) S said that we should play by Battle City rules. I tried playing Battle City rules and I lost. My other friend D.M.P is now saying I am a bad duelist. Does any one have any advice for me? I need some serious help.

Genkai
Yeah, don't let that get between you ^_^ I mean, taking you on with something new and beating you isn't good playing vs. bad playing, it's just a kinda mean thing that he did and now he insults you, but yell get over it.... Whoop down on him, G.D. ^_^
G.D. Ryoko
Genkai, You sound like you will be a good friend. Would you like to be my friend? PM me if you want to be friends.
Digital Monster
Getting back to something a little more on-topic, what are the new Battle City rules? I haven't been able to catch any of the BC Saga yet, so what special conditions are there? Also, I'd be happy to duel either of you over AIM if you fancy fighting a beginner to the game. AIM name's in my profile.
Solo Tremaine
The BC rules are more or less the same ones put down by UpperDeck in the Rule Book, i.e. tributing to summon high-level monsters etc. This makes it a lot harder to summon more powerful monsters that may otherwise clinch the match for you. DeathBug
The Battle City rules are the Upperdeck rules, and each player has 4000 LP instead of 2000. This is because when this season came out in Japan, they actually had the card game on the market, and they changed the show's rules appropriatly. Until now, the CCg hadn't actually been released in Japan.
Circ
Actually, there are a few differences between the show and the actual rules: - Apparently, you can have 3 of any cards - The deck MUST be 40, no more, no less - You may choose to attack a card inthe player's hand. if it is a monster. If I correctly remember, dammage is calculated as per a monster in ATK mode. Magic/Trap cards are just sent to the graveyard.
Domon
Okay, those sound like really crappy rules. True they are a lot like the CG's rules but they also are a far cry from it also. I guess they don't want to fully intergrate the CG's rules into the T.V. show just yet. Oh well. I guess it can't be helped.
Genkai
They are very weird rulkes.. I've gotten used to constructing 40-card decks since I have DDS, but attacking monsters in your hand etc.... It's kinda beyond me.. G.D. Ryoko, you could probably beat me with BC rules... ^^ Probably, I haven't tried... Anyway, how'd it go today, with that kid? Didja beat him? G.D. Ryoko
I was dueling D.M.S today. I was winning. I had summoned Curse of dragon and I was going to activate Robbin Goblin (trapcard) and Grave keepers servent when a teacher walked in and said his mother was in the office to pick him up. I was really upset! mabye I will challenge him Monday(we will get our cards taken away dueling on friday`s).
Circ
Fortunately enough, I think over all the Battle City ARc, only twice are cards in hand attacked. BTW, I'm basing the no restriction part on the Joey/Hunter duel.
Domon
Why would you lose your cards on a friday?
Circ
- You can have 3 of any cards BUT most anime decks seen so far barely make use of that rule. - The deck MUST be 40, no more, no less. - A special summoned monster may not attack the turn it is summoned. Quick-summon monster, however, may attack the turn they are special summoned. - You can activate ANY set magic/trap card as if it was a trap, it is unknown wheteher or not you an use Equipment cards in this way since very few equipmen cards were used in the manga's Battle City. I was wrong about attacking cards in hand, confusing with the updated duel disk system (the one Kaiba used to duel with a computer-controlled robot.) G.D. Ryoko
I would loose my cards on a friday because we duel in the school library from Monday to Thursday. On Friday the library is closed and if we duel in the lunch room, the dean and the assistant principal would take our cards.
Dragon Fou Lu
Originally posted by G.D. Ryoko My other friend D.M.P is now saying I am a bad duelist. Does any one have any advice for me? I need some serious help.
first of all there is no such thing as a bad duelist , it's just a matter of not having any cards which can beat the current destroyer (by destroyer i mean high level monsters, magics,Traps etc.):) and as for the battle city rules i wouldn't mind losing if i only had to hand over a Rare Card e.g Robbin' Goblin , Flame Ghost etc. asking your opponent to hand over a Super Rare or Ultra Rare is not really a Duel i would like to Participate(sp)in. :)
Domon
Thats just pure evil! I can't believe that! It just goes to prove that Principals and the higher up people have nothing better to do but pick on us kids. ACK! I'm sorry you have to deal with jerks. G.D. Ryoko. pk88
i could duel anywhere in the school. none of the staff care if we play. Everyday, I train my frend so he could be a better duelist. Try organizing an "anime" club, where you can play yu-gi-oh, draw anime, watch anime movies, etc...
G.D. Ryoko
I really wish I could pk88 but most schools in the city are like that. Sometimes in the library we get in trouble by teachers who come in and be nosy. I also wish our principal could be kinder. My friend D.M.V. Said he over heard her say she took away her own son`s Yu-Gi-Oh cards!
Hyper
My friends and I just go off to our on little place where we duel to our heart's content. Althouh sometimes it gets windy and to avoid the risk of our cards blowing (It happens; But nothing was lost) we head to our classroom and just duel there. G.D. Ryoko
If my friends and I try to go duel in the classroom, we will most likely get exspelled. We would most likely break the biggest rule at my school! I think I need to go to a new school but then I might have a hard time getting my scores to that state wide test we had Tuesday and Wednesday! Solo Tremaine
Can we get back on topic, now please? This is supposed to be about Battle City rules. I was very close to closing it, and I'm tempted to close a few others as well. Please stay on topic, keep discussions intelligent and relevant. And I wouldn't change schools because of rules. They may seem silly, but they're there for a reason. There's a lot of bullying goes on over cards. You should be lucky you can even bring them in.
G.D. Ryoko
Right getting back to the main topic, I find Battle City rules to be very complicated. I always get confused with the part when you tribute. Sometimes my friend D.M.J. says that after you tribute you could attack and other times he says that you can`t attack. I wish he would make up his mind. Also I was told that you can`t play a monster in defense mode ,use dark hole, then attack life points with a monster from youre hand. I wonder why D.M.J let D.M.P do that when I dueled him? I think that is breaking a major rule. What do you all think.(By the way we are not supposed to bring our cards.)
