Matt.D
I'd say the first one, dungeon wise it's the longest....but MM is a deep game that goes into ppl's lives in the game and can be quite long....But overall I say the original Zelda.
James
I think that A Link to the Past was the longest I've ever played. Zelda 2 was pretty long...but the length mainly came from its difficulty. A Link to the Past had three dungeons in the light world (all of which were huge and took quite some time to complete) and then there were 7 dungeons in the dark world. Also, there were a lot of side quests...like getting your sword tempered and such. That was such a fun game...
Cecil
I think it is diffinatly a link to the past. Althouhg the sixth time i played it it only took about 7 minutes for the first 3 dungeons. There are also some other dungeons beside the 10 that you get those items from (cant think of a name but the pendents and the crystals) Their are 2 in the castle, 1 at the begging of the game and another before you go the dark world and the tower where you fight agnum (sp) for the second time. So that adds up to a total of 13 challinging dungeons.

leo_swinkels
The first one on the NES was the longest. It took me over a year to finish it with all items and all hearts. Took me six months to find level five
sia
it took me 3 years in the first quest to find level 9(ganon's castle).and 4 years on quest 2. so that's 7years it took me to beat LOZ 1.
