RPG Suikoden: The War Of Orion

Well, here it goes:






The Plains of Amur used to be such a quiet place. A place you could go to think. Not anymore, however. Ever since the Army of Orion had shown up, there were always battles going on there. The once beautiful plains were reduced to nothing but a barren wasteland. Kusana looked up from the pack he was rummaging through on the ground. It had belonged to a dead soldier, and most of the time you can find something useful in their packs. Kusana stared up at the sky. Then, the silence was interuppted by a horn sounding through the fields. Kusana knew the sound. The Army of Orion's war cry. Immediatley, he began to run back to his small village in the north. He bolted through the plains, avoiding obstacles and constantly making sure no onw was following. Even though he was a master swordsman and one of the appointed leaders of a group of rebels, he wasn't prepared to fight at all. He continued to run on, hoping he would make it out of the plains alive.

Xra: The wind...it blows strong. Trouble's afoot.

Xra laid in bed thinking about what was to happen. He had been one of the leaders of the rebels, training since he was 5. Now he was a master of his blades.

*A horn sounded

Xra: ?! Here we go again. Well its better than sitting around bored.

Xra jumped out of bed, dusted himself off, and left the building. As he left the village, he spotted someone comming....

Kusana heard the sounds of war break out behind him. The sound of steel on steel rang out. He continued on. He finally reached his house and ran inside. He grabbed his broad sword and strapped it to his waist. He grabbed a bag of medicines and left quickly, but he was stopped by a familiar face. "Xra!" he shouted surprised. "I was right," Xra said. "There is trouble." "Yea." Kusana agreed, gazing at the plains. "We need to see the elder before we go." Kusana said. Xra agreed and the two began to run to the elder's house.

[Xra]

As they ran to the elder's house, they heard the sounds of many armies fighing it out.

Xra: They draw near. Humf, just like humans.

Kusana: What you aren't human?

Xra: I don't know what I am.

They reach the Elder's place and find a horrific picture.

Elder: Bwaa, Master Xra, Master Kusana, why aren't you defending our village with the other 4 masters?

Kusana: We need to see you first.

Elder: Well you did now go out there and fight!

Xra: I had a feeling this would happen.

Kusana and Xra quickly ran to the stables and found two horses to ride. They each climbed on to a horse. "Xra, go to the battle and help the troops out their already. I'm gonna see if I can get some more people to help." Kusana said. "Sure." Xra agreed. "Just move quickley, we'll need all the help we can get. The Army of Orion is stronger then ususal." Kusana shook his head in agreement. "They probably got a bunch of new recruits." Xra started off on his horse, galloping toward the battle field. Kusana went the opposite direction, racing through the village. "Anyone who has any skill with any sort of weapon, report to the Inn to get armor and then get to the battle field! We need all the help we can get!" he shouted, moving quickley. All around him, people began emerged from their houses and ran off to the Inn. Kusana began to shout again: "Anyone who can't fight, please get to the Bujutsu school! There's a makeshift hospital set up there and we're short on help!" He cotinued forward, getting more and more help.

[Vilearchangemon]

Shiro: Come,my troops.Charge on.

A group of warriors armed with swords was fighting a losing battle.They were falling like flys.

Warrior #6: Sir,should we fight on.

Shiro: No,draw back our men. We can't handle them.

Shiro began to retreat when he heard a hoarse.

Shiro: Xra....Nice for you show up.

Xra: Hahaha. Pull back your wounded.Kusana is bring new forces.

Shiro: O.K. Men,back.

Kusana raced towards the battle field on his horse. A huge group of people ran behind him. They were a strange looking group: everyday villagers iron-clad and carrying various weapons. "To the battle field we go!" Kusana shouted to them. A loud roar of cheers rose from the group. "If you're nervous, turn back now! Now is not the time to for cowardice!" he shouted to them. More cheers. Kusana was confident that they could drive back the Army of Orion if the rebels all worked together.



They reached the battle field to find hundreds of wounded soldiers lying on the ground. Some were even dead. Kusana reached the front lines where a few soldiers and Shiro and Xra were fighting. He dismounted. "I brought some recruits for ya'." he said. Xra turned to him. "Now is the perfect time." "For what?" Kusana asked. "We decided to cahrge when you brought the recruits." Shiro answered. "Well, it's now or never." Xra said. "Then let's do it." Kusana said.

[Valen]

[i]There were the sounds of troops falling to the Army of Orion and the sounds of swords clashing. Valen was in charge of this troop, which wasn't doing that great. Sure they were holding out, but one more wave of attacks and they would have to retreat.[/i]

Valen: One more time! CHARGE!

[i]The troops charged in together this time and eliminated the first hundred or so of the army. This was futile. The Army of Orion had taken fifty of Valen's troops by noon.

There was silence on the battlefield as the Army of Orion retreated mysteriously. This was good for Valen't troops. His troops turned and walked back to their camp and rested up.[/i]

Valen: That was good! Just hang in there guys! We can do this!

[i]He looked at the ground and gripped the necklace tightly.[/i]

Valen: I'm doing it... I'll see you soon...

[Xra]

The Army of Orion had retreated.

Xra: This is strange, stay on your guard.

Kusana: But why would they retreat?

Shrio: Those lilly livered cowards, ah lets head back to a camp close by, a captian stay there, astray from the village.

Xra: Still I don't feel right, something's bound to happen.

Shrio: Yes something's bound to happen, us going to the camp.

Kusana, Xra, Shiro, and the remaining troops left for the camp.

Kusana and the other commanders sat around a small fire. It lit the darkness and around them with an ever-fading glow. It had been hours since the retreat, and yet nothing had happened. "Maybe they really did retreat." Shiro pondered. "That's not like them." Xra said as he finished off the last of his bread. "Yeah." Valen agreed. "Then what are they waiting for?" Kusana asked. "Something. There has got to be something." Valen pondered.

Kusana stared up at the star-filled sky. The Plains of Amur were quiet, like they used to be. He recalled the stories and Grandfather had told him. The stories of peace and harmony. Of course, it was nothin like the world now. Kusana shook his head and returned his gaze to the fire, when an explosion lit up the sky. "What the hell was that?!!" Shiro asked startled. "Looked to me like....chinese firecrackers!" Xra shouted. Explosions began to go off everywhere. "Gather the troops!" Kusana shouted. "We've got to stop them before they launch some at the village!"

[starlight]

[i]upon the ridge there came a shrill whistle as another fircracker zoomed upwards into the sky. In the darkness there lay another troop that had been camping elsewhere, away from Kusana, Xra, Valen, and Shiro when they saw the firecrackers go off. A warrior that had seen them go off ran into a nearby tent and came out a few moments later with a young woman in tow. He pointed at the sky as yet another fircracker went off.[/i]

Warrior: This is not good! Karina, we have to go and stop them!

Karina: Holy crap! youre right! You sure its Orions army's doing?

Warrior: Yes im sure!

Karina: ok gather everyone and tell them to arm themselves, we're moving out, understand?

warrior: yes ma'am!

[i]The man took off to spread the word. Karina looked at the sky in worry as another fircracker went off.[/i]

Karina: Just when I thought they had given up for the night they go off and do this, when will they ever learn?

[i]She shook her head and went back into her tent to get her weapon. Within the hour the whole troop had started its fairly quick movement across the plains.[/i]

[Zerosaber]

Jet was ready to move on. He was the leader of a small but effective regiment.After he had got the call that they had to pack up so soon after the battle it made him think.He got up and got ready telling his men we have to go.

Jet:(thinking)wonder why we are leaving so soon. Also know one told me why we were leaving. I hope it isn't to serious

Valen, Shiro, Xra, and Kusana all split the troops and broke up into 4 groups. Kusana raced forward and unsheated his sword. An Orion soldier raced at him. Their swords clashed. The force of the blows nocked both warrior in opposite directions. "CHARGE!!!" Kusana shouted to his troop, picking himslef up off the ground. His troops raced forward. The warrior he had fought aginst mimicked his command. His trrops also chraged. The two armies collided. Full-scale war broke out. Kusana gripped the hilt of his blade. "You must be the commander of these troops." Kusana observed. "I am Lt. Percy Lesco." the knight answered him. "I am Kusana Rokai." Kusana told him. Percy struck Kusana's blade with his sowrd. "I take it you wish for a duel." Kusana said. "Exactly." Percy answered.

[Valen]

[i]Valen looked at the army charging at his troops and him. It was time. He ordered his troops to draw back, then attack head-on. Valen charged at the troops and remembered all his training in Sword Magic. He yelled something and charged once again, swinging his sword furiously at the Army of Orion. His blade sliced through twelve troops before becoming too slippery with blood to slice easily anymore. This was never going to end.

Moments passed as something finally dawned on him. There was a town nearby that made Chinese Firecrackers... "Had they attacked the city?" He thought as the blade sliced through another troop. "Duh!" He yelled out as he ran through the army towards the city, his troop following suit.[/i]

Kusana swung his sword at Percy, who parried the blow. Kusana noticed he moved quickly. Percy swung. Kusana side-stepped. He dodged the attack, and returned the swing, slicing a vulnerable area of Percy's torso. He cringed. The two began to get more violent know, swinging more quickly then before and striking with more force. Each time on of them attcked, the other blocked. Kusana was hit in the chest and fell back, Blood oozed from the wound. Percy sheatheed his sword. "We are done here." he said. He commanded his troops to retreat, and they did, leaving the rebels beaten and weak. Kusana climbed to his feet and saw the town in flames. "The Villagers!" he shouted, running towards the flames.
