Karina stood back and watched as the students took their stones, if any teachers had taken any she wasn't sure. But it seemed that the others were holding back. She would put a stop to that... well not exactly, but she had decided. That was for sure. She slowly made her way over to the circle of remaining stones and stood before it, waiting...

Karina: I didn't come all the way here just to turn and walk away...

She realized that the circle had started to move, it rotated once and stoped, the stone in front of her rose up and promtly smacked into her stomach with a force that she couldnt believe that something so small could have, it had knocked the wind out of her as well. Growling she quickly snatched the stone from the air and held it at eye level.

Karina: I take it that this one is mine... I swear that sombody has something against me. This is seriously not my day!

She backed away, mostly out of embarrassment and ducked to the back of the group, still holding the stone tightly in her hand as if fearing that if she let it go it would attack her again.

(Thinking)" I have to keep going just like my father told me, even if its a matter of life or death ill do it "... Mischief walks up and the stones started to rotate when they stopped Mischief grabbed a glowing Red stone " I accept "

Mischief: It is not in me to back down, so I accept.

Stares Bozel in the eyes, And then glances at the stone in his hand.

Mischief: What powers do these stones posses?

Ava looked at the people in front of her, Jeez, my aunt thought I was weird. she thought, tucking her laptop under her arm. Well, at least this will keep be from dying of boredom...and I like a good adventure as well. As she moved closer, the circle span around until one stone stopped by her.

Avalon looked at the stone for a moment, pondering about taking it. Her hand reached out for the stone, grabbing it and holding it to her. She looked at the people standing by her, So I'm going to work with them? Well, I might as well get along with all of them since I'm probably going to be seeing them.

She smiled slightly, turning to them. "Hello, I'm Avalon." she bowed, showing immense respect. "How are you?"

Bozel watched silently as the stones were slowly claimed. His mind was deep in thought. The stones were acting most unusual and making very odd choices. Over the years he had learned to tell which holder the stones would choose for themselves but this time none of his guesses were correct. Most unusual indeed, what could this mean? The implications were...

His thoughts were cut off by mischiefs question. He turned to stare at him and answered in a shady tone. "Power? That truly depends on what you would view as power. In a simple answer though I can say these stones were made from the same thing that created the Pool that sits behind us. Their potential is both uncharted, unknown and and in some ways very much alive. Thus I cannot entirely answer your question. However the stones are yours now and whatever power is held inside they will show to you when they choose to."

Geist smiled at Avalon and Kinga.

Geist: "Hi, I'm Geist Hittori. I pretty much came here for the martial arts and basic weapons classes. What did you guys come here for?"

Before they replied, a little bit of Bozel's answer caught his ear.

Geist: "'Your's now'? ' 'When they choose to'? does that mean we're bringing them with us? And what's the climate like at that Man-something place? Are our clothes fine, or should we change?"

Bozel shot him an irritated glance that sent a small chill down his spine.

Noticing that a fellow teacher joined the group of students, Charlie decided it was time to join them. Since he had been in school as a student before, he didn't need to grab a stone. Instead, he drew from his pocket a stone that looked like it was made of pure Saphire. He put it on his neck like a necklace, and gave it a little kiss.

Charlie- Been a while since I put it on... Man, it's freezin' cold!

Once he stopped whining to himself about the "Freezin Stone", Charlie walked to me the rest of the group.

Charlie- Hi, I'm Charlie, and I will be assisting you guys for our trip. But please, do me a favor and call me Turkey. Don't ask why.

Fli nodded in reply to Ace's question lightly. Friends were a thing he'd be needing plenty of by the sounds of things, and orientation sounded like everyone was going to need each other. Fli was going to be running with another pack from now on. and to be perfectly honest... They didn't look like they were going to be all that bad. Then suddenly, a question popped into his mind. Or not so much a question, as a niggling thought. So following on from Geist's question, Fli spoke up.

Fli: *nervous* This whole thing isn't going to be easy is it...? *looks about at the others present* We're gonna hafta rely on each other a lot...

He swallowed hard, aware in himself that he wasn't questioning anyone's authority, or backing out at all. He just needed it said to him. In black and white. So he knew he wouldn't have to do anything alone. He wasn't a coward. Far from it. He was just tired of being alone...

Kinga smiled at the thought of being part of this team, a proper pack. One that could rely on eachother to pull themselves through whatever they were about to face.

Clothes and tempuratures never bothered her, she had her fur to keep her warm or she could lose it to cool herself off. Fli was obviosly nervouse. She gently rubbed her head against him in a very animal like way.

Kinga: You'll be alright. We'll be a strong pack, no one will get hurt while I'm around

She looked questionatly at Turkey, he didn't look at all like a turkey, then again turkey's were big fat birds that ran around all day and did nothing important, excpet provide a nice meal.

She looked at the stone once again and grinned. It was very pretty and it was hers. She removed her hat and placed it in and then put it back on her head. life was about to get interesting.

Bozel reached out with his hand grasping the last stone firmly in his grasp. His eyes flared up and a burst of energy stung out from his closed fist for a brief moment. He opened his hand and stepped back. The stone now glowed a deep purple.

"Your new guide, as I said I would be there to advise you and slightly keep an eye on you. Though that is all I will be able to do. Now I am done here, good luck to all of you I will see you again upon your return."

The purple stone fluttered for a moment then flew over to the pool. It circled it for a second then dove deep into the center with a tiny splash. Though the pool seemed to have no bottom, no matter how deep the stone went its shining light was always in sight. The group stood around for a moment watching it before Bozels slightly impatient voice snapped at the.

"What are you afraid of getting your hair wet! Jump in and follow the stone it will take you where you need to go. All you new teachers in too don't think your getting any special treatment I want all these students back alive and safe now move!"

OOC:
Jester, I'll PM you an early explanation of why I added that little coment from Bozel.

IC:
Hearing Bozel's order, the small group walked towards the pool. Charlie, having already experienced this before, was the first to jump in. However, before jumping in, Bozel gave him these words of warning:
You better be careful this time. You know why I say it.

Charlie- :nervous: Don't worry, I won't cause trouble this time.

Bozel-*In a tone cold enough to freeze your soul* You better not.

After that friendly chat, Charlie dived into the pool. Meanwhile, the others' souls were still defrosting.:D

Not wanting to be left behind, Geist dived in also. And then...his body disappeared, or at least that's what it felt like. He felt as light as a feather, he tried to cry out to everyone else but he couldn't speak. As the darkness moved around him, he saw several faint lights. He floated over to find out what they were and found them to be somewhat solid.

Geist:"These lights must be the other students and teachers...I wonder if that's what I look like...?"

He lifted his hands to look at them, but they were completely invisible. He dropped them to his non-existent sides and sighed."

Geist: "So much for that idea. I wonder how much longer until we get there?"

Fli smiled a little at Kinga's show of affection. Somehow he figured she understood the idea of a pack. In fact, he'd be surprised if she didn't. Then, after watching Geist jump in, Fli finally plucked up his own courage. He moved towards the edge of the pool. Looking down he could see five other specks of light circling and slowly growing smaller. He took a breath. "Now or never..." Closing his eyes he took another deep breath and simply stepped off the edge into the bottomless water, disappearing from sight with a small splash.

Ace waited for an answer from Turkey, but was interupted by Bozel saying that everyone was to jump into the pool. Ace gulped. He put his finger in the water and pulled it back. The water was cold. Ace gulped, and dove in. He noticed he had become invisible and he was surrounded by lights.
"I must be dead" he thought.

Among the shimmering lights under the water one very bright purple one always stood out. It moved through the water with a wavering pattern and then finally zipped upward guiding the others. With a splash it finally left the water and hovered over the pool waiting for everyone to arrive.

This pool however was much smaller than the one at Torneko. Small pieces of ice floated around in it and the surrounding contryside was most certainly not the campus. An endless frozen tundra surrouded the pool. The snow was falling freely covering the frozen ground and the few mountains that were around. The air was chilling to the bone and there was no signs of life or heat in any direction.

Geist emerged from the water, he hopped out of it immediately as he began to shiver.

Geist: "B-boy, it's c-c-cold around here. I'm glad I wore my long-sleeved shirt today. I'd better wait for the others before going on."

Geist walked around the pool, in an effort to warm himself up. When everyone else arrived, he helped them out.

Geist: "It's a little cold at first. Are you guys alright?"

Meanwhile Karina had made sure that everyone had gone through before diving in herself, she too saw the change happen and the strange invisibility. Once she was solid again she saw the others out of the water, she broke the surface and smiled as the frozen air settled on her. Ice? Snow? Tundra? SHE WAS IN HEAVEN! She pulled herself out of the pool and did a quick head count of who all was there in her mind. Everyone seemed to be here. Although they did seem kind of cold...

Karina: I cant believe you guys! This cold is wonderful!

When she looked everyone seemed to be looking at her as if she had lost it, sure in theory teachers were supposed to be weird but this one was ether really enjoying the cold or putting on a show for them.

Elsyan wrapped her arms around herself tightly to keep herself from shivering, but that didn't help to keep her teeth from chattering.

Elsyan: "K-k-kruntai! It's f-freezing here!"

Karina: "I know! Isn't it great? The temperature must be almost zero degrees here!" ^_^

Everyone stared at the teacher in disbelief, thinking that either her brain had frozen or she was crazy.

Fli: "Where are we?"

Karina: "We're in HEAVEN!!" ^_^

Elsyan: "You m-m-mean we d-died?!"

Karina: "Not at all. I'm just saying that it's like paradise here!"

Mischief Was Shivering as he got out of the pool... But it didnt bother... One tiny flash and he was completely dry due to his Fire Raven powers.

Mischief: Well good thing I am so good with my fire technique... So who wants some hot cocoa?...

Everyone looks a Mischief in an acute way as they shiver and Mischief is perfectly Warm

Mischief: What?

Fli simply stared at Karina in disbelief.

Fli: *thinks to himself* You really ARE insane...

He hugged his arms to his sides as he looked up, seeing the purple stone swaying impatiently above them. It zipped in several tight circles and bopped first Elsyan, then Geist, then Fli, Mischief and finally Karina across the head. Everyone else was spared from such treatment as the stone was convinced it finally had their attention. But it continued to hover impatiently as stragglers emerged from the icy waters.

Fli: *doubtfully stating the obvious* I vote we follow the purple thing once we have everyone... *glances at Mischief with mock irritation* Oh and by the way, *smiles slightly in teasing - not meaning the words* I hate you... Be cold with everyone else!

Mischief: *blinks slightly taken aback before seeing the teasing in it* Why? This way's more amusing! ^_^

Fli rolled his eyes before waiting patiently for the stragglers to emerge.

Ace climbed out of the water and was hit in the head with the purple stone and fell back into the water. After climbing out of the water the second time, Ace realized that it was unbearably cold! He stood shivering, waiting for everyone else to arrive.

Kinga had watched slowly as the others students and teachers had dived into the pool. She looked at it with interest. They had gone on about weather conditions in the new place so she focused her mind and found nothing.

With a dive, or more correctly a belly-flop, Kinga fell into the water. It was cold to a certain degree but she manually switched her body heat. That was one thing the gentics had done to her, she could changed her tempreture to suit where she was and who was around her.

The other lights were quite far ahead and she hoped that she wouldn't lose them. She saw them go up.

With a sudden and rather wet unexpected movement, Kinga shot out of the hole like a rocket and came to a land almost ten feet away. Pulling her head out of the snow she looked around and relised that maybe her human form wouldn't be acceptible for this type of landscape.

She closed her eyes and consentrated. Slowly her form changed, she started off on her hands and knees, which slowly became large and muscler. Her body also transformed becoming rounder, her face even became wider and her teeth grew slightly bigger.

Where her clothes had lain on her body dark blue fur pushed its way though and suddenly she was a big blue fuzz ball. A light blue slight shone out and then died.

It was now possible to see what had happened to Kinga. Instead of a human like creature standing where she had been, there was a four legged animal. She was covered in a mid-blue fur for the most part but along her back were light gold triangles, and down her legs were lines of deep gold. And on her face were gold markings extending down from her eyes to her ears and from the end of her nose to her neck. She shook herself rather hasitly and probably showered one of her classmates with the water that had clung to her fur.

She appeared to check that everything was in it's correct place and sighed irritably. Suddenly two thin tails, of matching blue with occassional gold stripes, appeared.

She was about four foot tall and looked menasing. But then she grinned and a rather cute and pathetic look came over her.

Kinga: Well, me-sa all wovely and larm. If eggy of you-sa coldy, you can cwuddle me, but ony if we-sa all ave a no-all night eater.

ooc: I'm going to be a little evil and let you lot work out what Kinga has just said. I would show you a basic idea of what she looks like at this present moment in time, but I've got a scanner that has never worked.

Karina rolled her eyes and sat down on a snowdrift and sunk in slightly.

Karina: Until were completely sure that everyone is here I guess you cold-haters will have to warm up, now for those of you who are taking my class this semester, this is going to be a bit of a preview!

Karina dropped to her knees and closed her eyes as she went completely still, it was as if she had frozen in place, but suddenly after a long wait she started to murmur something.

Karina: Il phoenix della fiamma la più calda invito il suo potere ancora! Sentire la mia chiamata e sorgere, e discendere giù dai cieli nuvolosi.

She kept her eyes closed as a strange sound came from above them, some of them looked up at the overcast skies but saw nothing. The sound got louder it now sounded as if something was singing, it was lovely and yet mysterious at the same time. With a bright flash of gold a flaming bird, with what looked like a 6 foot wingspan burst through the cloudy sky above them and decended, all the while singing in that mysterious tone, its body was a golden and blood-red inferno, yet the bird did not die, despite the flames, for it was a phoenix. Karina gave a half smile as the bird circled down and landed upon the ground next to her.

Karina: There you go for those of you who want to sit near a fire... or firebird under the circumstances, meet my dear old friend Hielo or Hielo-llama

Karina got up and nodded to Hielo as she stepped away from the Phoenix
