Atleast the teachers are learning to look after the students."[/COLOR] He snapped his fingers and back on Mandorga the purple stone floated back down from the sky emitting an incredibly bright light. It shone all over the Tundra temporarily blinding everyone and when it cleared all the beast had vanished with it. Bozel leaned back in his chair smiling to himself. [COLOR=indigo]"I suppose I could let them rest a bit but that would be babying them now wouldn't it. Besides I wanna hurry this Orientation along."[/COLOR] Vivian still sat on his desk and she eyed him with a smile. [COLOR=royalblue]"Now what are you going to do to them?"[/COLOR] The headmaster laughed aloud. [COLOR=indigo]"I already pushed their fighting skills. Time to test their survival and abilitity to keep a clear head."[/COLOR] The purple stone shone a dark color and a Bozels voice ran out from it once again. [COLOR=indigo]"Pop Quiz #2"[/COLOR] The snow storms that showered Mandorga night and day suddenly increased to an apocalyptic intensity. The wind's blew with tree ripping strength throwing snow, ice and large chunks of hail in a massive blizzard. Before anyone could react there was a deafening sound of breaking glass and the icy ground of Mandorga shattered for miles around dropping the students and teachers into its freezing waters which immediately turned into giant waves. Mischief was ok with this be couse he once had to stay in alaska outside for 2 months with a limited supply of food and water... Mostly because of the life-force draining thing from Boom-Boom. Suddenly, he felt a burst of wind coming from nowhere which turned into a snowstorm. He fipped on the visor from his helmet to protect his eyes. He noticed that Mischief was walking away from the group, with Charlie following him. Ace turned to the remaining group. Ace: Umm, guys? Snowflakes settled on his nose and in his hair, giving the blonde an almost white-haired appearence. Suddenly, he stumbled and tripped, yelping as he hit the ground on his hands and knees, the snow coming up to his elbows. Now what pop quiz was Bozel up to? Some objective they had to complete first? She doubted that since they already completed that test. Survival? Possibly. She broke through the already freezeing surface and spluttered for air. She liked the cold but this was getting rediculous. She swam to shore and pulled herself out of the water, coughing up the gross water that she had somehow swallowed.[/i] Karina: okay that was nasty... where did everyone go? [i]Karina looked around, she saw reminants of footprints in the quickly rising snow drifts. So she followed as best she could. All the swimming that she had been doing had her slightly worn out but her survival instincts had kicked in, meaning that she didnt care how tired she was. Walnut Posted February 2, 2003 Share Posted February 2, 2003 Kinga pops her rather fuzzy head out of freezing cold waters. She looked around and ducked back under, only to pop out again a few seconds later with a big chessy grin on her face. The cold didn't bother her. True it could do with a little warming up but other than that it was fine. She dived under the water and followed a couple bright green fish down to a rather iced in area and spotted a lovely coloured sponge. She tapped it lightly with her nose and found that it was mildly warm. To this question, everyone started looking at each other, and one by one, they all denied any knowledge. Charlie- Brupe (swear he usually says)! She's probably in the storm! I'm going out to find her. Mischief- I'm coming with you. My fire powers should help. Charlie- You better stay here, making a fire big enough for me to see once I find her. Mischief- *Slightly dissapointed* Okay then. Just be careful. After leaving Mischief in charge at the cave, Charlie rushed outside, wearing a coat made from his shape-changing stone. [I]Mischief then melts the snow into water and boils it more to kill any parasites in it. he then puts it into a crater in the cave and lets in cool a little.[/I] Mischief: Ok if anyone is thirsty just come over and cup your hands then drink. [I]Fifteen minutes later everyone was fast asleep, but Mischief stayed awake so the fire would'nt go out. Besides it only comes out during the worst weather."[/COLOR] Vivian blinked. [COLOR=royalblue]"It?"[/COLOR] And Bozel smiled darkly. Back on the Tundra a gigantic beast flew through the sky. It hibernated most of its life but emerged from its den only during the most hazardous of blizzards. Storms that didn't bother it but made food much easier to catch. This beast had a spiked tail and drill like beak. It must have stood over fifteen feet and its full wingspan was atleast triple that. Its whole body was covered in dark purple feathers. It scanned the ground with its perfect vision able to spot even the smallest of animals through the viscious storm. It turned its head to the side spotting something. A small figure swimming through the water. It wasn't very big but it was all alone. Figuring it would make a nice appetizer the beast swooped down moving fast on Karina. No it wasnt that, she heard something faintly through the howl of the blizzard, she rolled out of the way, just as a pair of claws destroyed the snowpile she had been on just a mere second before. "Well, that was fun." she spoke, chuckling slightly as she pulled her laptop case on her shoulder. "Where is everyone?" she looked into the falling snow, seeing nothing. Avalon shrugged, walking into the blizzard. After a few minutes, she stopped and decided to let modern science help her. "Oh, I really hope that someone has on something electronic..." she spoke, attaching her antenna to her laptop. The antenna spun around, making slight beeping noises, as Avalon looked at the screen. A red dot appeared on the screen, a ways from her dot. "Finally!" she yelled, picking up her laptop and walked, her dot moving closer and closer to the red one. He looses his bearing for a moment and gets confused. He feels it; the creature is near. Before he can even think something else, he is whisked away by the monster. It's claws dig into Charlie's arms, and create some deep wounds. The pain angers him, and he turns his stone into a spear. Right when he's about to pierce it, he loses consciousness(sp?).[/i] (Dream Sequence) A younger Charlie stands in a school hallway. Bozel, who hasn't really changed, looks at him in a horribly stern face. Charlie- *scared* I didn't mean to do it...it...it wasn't my fault! Bozel- *snarling* Silence! What you did was unexcusable! In all my years in Torneko, I never saw someone act so recklessly! Charlie-I...didn't... Bozel- Too late to apologize... Walnut Posted February 4, 2003 Share Posted February 4, 2003 Kinga watched as Fli set out and felt a little unsure about what she was doing. She was susposed to keep an eye on them all. That was how a pack worked but she had said she would wait and wait she would. She looked around the cave and noticed that it was in fact far bigger that she or any of the others suspected. She explored it for a little while hardly noticing the other students. This would make a quite a good hold if she were to ever become a mother. She would have to make sure she got in Bozel's good books so that she could come back here and claim it for her own. The red stone she had left by the fire and suddenly there was a slight tapping noise from it. Kinga went over to look at it and was amazed to see that it was a small, winged creature. It looked around and made a funny little squeaking noise. Kinga: O'day what we-sa do now? ooc: just a little red dragon like thing I'm bringing in. It wasn't really a nest but no other creatures would steal its food when its up this high which gives the bird beast time to go get some more. These things were little but if it figured got enough of them it should get a meal out of them. It flapped its wings once then took off leaving Charlie, Geist and Mischeif in its makeshift nest. Back on Torneko's campus, Bozel watched sighing. [COLOR=indigo]"Well their doing well. A third of them have already been captured, two are lost and some of the ones left are just waking up from their nap. All they gotta do is get a feather from that thing then get everyone back to the pool. He saw his parents in bed, grabbing their sheets as they watched a dark figure turn and walk away, slamming the door behind him. Ace felt something in his eye and rubbed it. Ace: Fli! Hold up! Fli turned around. Ace: I'm coming with you. Fli: Why? Ace: Cause we're friends, right? Ace held out his hand. Fli smiled and shook his hand. Ace: Come on, guys! Let's go!
