Bing
Hello. Seeing as Otaku has members from all over the world, I though I'd make a thread about theme parks. They are very cool. I been to many of them, and I want to know where you have been, and what your favourite rides are. Near me, there is Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures. Thorpe Park has a 10 looping Rollercoaster, which I have ridden around 4 times, with Break, Tommy Vercetti, Zidane and Big Cajones. Other rides include X:No Way OUt, backwards pitch black roller coaster, Detonater, which is a big drop, and many more. That's my favourite local theme park. Alton Towers is very cool, but I haven't been there lately. It has a vertical rollercoaster, which rocks, supposedly. Now, my favourite theme park however, is a tough choice between Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure, mainly because they have the best rollercoaster there. I am going back to Florida soon, so I will be there riding them! Looking Forward to hearing about your theme parks! Zidargh
Hey cool, a nice thread Alex. Well, I went to Alton Towers recently with Tommy vercetti as you know, and went on everything worth going on. Air was fantastic as you're tilted upside horizontally and are just looking down... or up(I got confused). Oblivion only really lasted two minutes on a thrill factor, but was still worth experiencing. I was supposedto be going to Florida, but it was cancelled once again. I hear japan have HUGE roller coasters. Ah the 'ol Colloseus, memories eh?
Bing
How could I forget Air, that looks great.Alton Towers Website has pictures and info on that. Collosus is the ten looping roller coaster, that has stolen my voice many times, due to too much screaming. To see some stuff on that go to the Thorpe Park website! Enjoy!
Tommy Vercetti
Well i have been to Thorpe Park, Chessington world of adventures and Alton Towers, but i have also been to like water theme parks if they count i went to one in Tennerrife which was called the octupus park and it had lots of water slides and there was one called Kamikaze which was really cool as you went down at like 100 miles p/h lol well it felt like it anyways even if u didnt but hey. Air is an amazing experience to go on and i would go on it again. I was a bit uncertain of Oblivion at first as i had seen it break down a few times but after i went on it i thought it was pretty cool even though i like was f**king scared hehehe. SaiyanPrincessX
I've only been to a few but the one nearest to me is Cedar Point. I've been on almost every roller coaster there(which is the only thing I ride, I love em). They have 16 roller coasters. My favorite is the Millinium Force. Here is a picture of the best part of the ride, the 90 degree angle drop!:excited: We go there every year, except last year because my parents had gotten layed off in March. We're going to go this year though.Millinium Force big drop These are all the roller coasters CP has: Blue Streak, Millinium Force, Magnum XL 200, Cedar creek mine Ride, Gemini, Mantis, Raptor, Wild Cat, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, Mean Streak, Wicked Twister, Demon drop, Jr Gemini, Woodstock Express, and a new one called Top Thrill dragster. We also have 6 Flags, I've only been there once. Its cool but I don't like it as much.
Gabe
I seem to be Theme Park Deprived in many ways. We have ONE theme park in Melbourne and the thing is around 80 years old with 0 good rides. The place is called Luna Park if you must know. I've also been to Wonderland,Sydney. Which was pretty good when I was 8. Then you Dream World which is pretty good. Wet 'n' Wild is awesome in the way of pure water parks. And then there's Sea World which is pretty good for a Zoo/Theme Park. It has a cork screw so it does alright. I would really like to go to a Six Flags Park or something. I heard there really good. Also those Japanese Roller Coasters would freak the hell out of me. Have you seen any of them? There were a bunch of them in 2002 Guiness book of World Records. Jesus just take a look at this! 'This is a picture of the Steel Dragon. This is the currently the worlds faster roller coaster. If you wish to ride this boi head on over to the land of the rising lunch. Thanks to Guiness World Records for the picture' Now if that doesn't make you fertilize your pants then I doubt anything will. Also if you wish to donate to the 'Send Cow to Six Flags Fund' then PM me ASAP. Please donate :)

Guest Musahi
I saw that Steel Dragon on one of TLC's top ten shows. It got #1, I heard at that park there are hotels, shopping centers, grocery stores and everything. Pretty wacky if you ask me. :o But the best one here in San Antonio is Fiesta Texas. It has such great roller coasters, such as The Superman, and The Ratteler. I have MUCHO fun there.
Rhys Mayiessen
Well the theme park I have near me is Canada's Wonderland. It's actually really good and has alot of rides. They get new rides every year. Oh there's another one called the CNE (Candian National Exhibition)which is only opened in august or something.
Bing
Well, my local park, Thorpe Park, has under gone a huge transformation. It used to be a park aimed at younger people, with a few tame rides and a lame farm. But know, it has had 5 thrill rides over the space of 3 years. It's broken a few records too, Biggest Log Flume In Britain, Most Looping Rollercoaster In The World and a few more I think. It's now a really great park, and with the addition of 'Nemesis Inferno', which opens soon, it will be even better!
DeathKnight
Locally [San Antonio, Texas], I live near Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Its a pretty good park, with a few good roller coasters- Nothing worthy of TLC's program though *Saw it too, Dan. Lol.* But since its the local place, I have to give it props ;P
Gabe
You talking to me? It looks pretty good in RCT 2 :)
Queen Asuka
We live near Six Flags in Atlanta. I haven't been there for a while, but it's pretty fun whenever I do get the chance to go. Also, just south in Florida we have Universal Studios AND Disney world. We also have a theme park in Valdosta. I think there's a few more in Florida as well. In April I'm going to Disney again! ^____^
Bing
When I went to America, I stayed in Florida, and went to all the theme parks there. They totally rock, and the American parks are so much fun compared to English ones. The Florida ones all stick to themes as well, where as England it's like 'Hmm...That can go there, and that can go there!'. Prrf, no organisation!
Queen Asuka
Universal Islands of Adventure is my favorite, especially the Marvel Super Heroes Island. You can ride the Spiderman 3D ride and the Incredible Hulk rollercoaster. Not to mention I got to take pictures with Spiderman and the X-Men and play DDR in their AWESOME arcade! GAH! Just talking about going back there is making me excited!
Bing
Island of Adventure is amazing! It's so colourful, and attractive. I love the Hulk rollercoaster, and Dr Doom's Death Drop! I saw the parade thing, and Spiderman got me in a fake headlock! I loved Duelling Dragons, and my sister nearly kicked a guy on the other train! Dr Suess land was great, especially Cat In The Hat, who walks around, I ran up to him and gave him a huge hug. All the water rides were great as well! It was a great day, and my favourite theme park in the world!
Queen Asuka
Heh, me and Anna rode the Dueling Dragons rollercoaster five times in a ROW! And we were still going to keep going if our other groupies weren't feeling nauseous! Hey, did you visit Epcot at Disney world? I LOVED that place, too! I tried to pet a baby Flamingo, but it kept moving away from my hand.
