~Mystical Pan~
*Falling to her knees, the elderly woman wept for her two sons as three men shoveled dry dirt on top of the beaten corpses of the young lads. The dirt slowly began to cover the tattered clothing and the dry blood on them as the men continued to do their work. Other villagers were gathered around weeping for the deaths of ones so young. All of them had been searching in group for the boys of 12 and 16 but were not able to find them for days. Now, along the banks of a calm river, the bodies were found with most of their bones broken. The villain that had committed this vile act was already known; it was but a mere fact. Everyone knew of that fact when their eyes lay upon the gashes along their backs. Everyone knew who it was?for it had been plaguing their world for a long time.* *Danormris?the name every child was forbidden to hear?the name no adults would mention in public?the name Ambika sought after to completely destroy. Standing within the edge of the woods and completely covered from sight of the people at the burial, Ambika grimace as her eyes grazed the surrounding. She had been late and it was all her fault. Danormris had moved rather fast, more than usual and Ambika had lost it momentarily. She could have prevented this from happening, from having yet another soul destroyed. Not that she cared, but souls that were being destroyed was not a matter she liked having around, especially when the souls were destroyed and demons were transpiring in their place. She would not have minded had these beings not been like Danormris, but they were almost the exact replica?almost.* *Stepping away from the too familiar scene, she turned and leaned on the tree she had been next to. Slowly, she brought her right hand up to her face and began to caress her lower lip with her index finger, a habit she displayed only when thinking. She began to contemplate on her options.* (I wonder if I should stay and wait till it?s spawn is born or go and track it down??if I let stay and destroy, I?ll lose precious time. But, if I don?t destroy it, it?ll attack more people and multiply fast?but so will its father. DAMN!) ?Adesto,? she spoke softly to herself, ?what are you trying to prove, you pathetic fool?? *Suddenly, remembering about her companion, she pushed of the tree and scanned the forest. Her cold dark eyes suddenly grimaced along with the rest of her face. Crossing her arms in front of her stomach, she sighed and shook her head.* ?Where is Nepenthe?? she seemed to ask the forest, ?I better find her soon.? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Currently, the only one Ambika knows is Nepenthe. The rest of you have to meet and introduce yourselves. Also, in this way, you have more freedom by how your characters are gonna meet and what they were doing before. ^^ Also, I apologize if thise intro sucks. This IS my first own RPG. ^^
Imp
OOC: This isn't a bad intro at all! It's not a bad title either! IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Danormris... It's...yoooouuuu..." Quite unexpectedly, Naomi woke up, shaking her head violently in hopes of getting rid of the horrible dream she had. Unfortunately, the name stuck in her head throughout the day, forcing her to hit herself on the head every five minutes to try and get rid of that name. People all around were wondering, "What has gotten into her? Is she crazy? She's gonna get amnesia real soon." Naomi ignored those comments, not being able to stop herself from repeating the name in her head--"Danormris... Danormris... Da...norm...rissss..." She fainted. When she got up, she found herself face-to-face with an angry old woman with a broom in her hand. She blurted, "Girl, what did you say?" Naomi said nothing. "I know ya said somethin' and it ain't good either." She whacked Naomi on the head with the broom. "And I'll whack ya again if ya say that...you know who...'s name again!" Naomi knew it again--she had repeated the name again, this time out loud. Naomi blushed, put her hand over her mouth, and froze. Five seconds later, she ran. The woman, realizing that Naomi meant no harm, let Naomi go. Naomi kept on running, apparently not knowing that the old woman was miles away. Suddenly, she bumped into somebody. Immediately, she apologized and asked who the person she bumped into was. "Nepenthe," she said. Naomi heard a noise coming from the bushes, and, thinking it was the old woman chasing her, quickly said, "I'm Naomi," and ran off into the forest. "Nepenthe! Nepenthe? Where are you?" Ambika shouted. She heard a rustling sound coming from behind a tree. "Nepenthe? Is that you?" Suddenly, a a teenage girl with indigo hair appeared. "Oops, I thought you were Nepenthe," said Ambika bashfully. "Of course I'm not Nepenthe," said the girl. "I'm Naomi!" The look on Ambika's face told Naomi that she needed to explain further. "Uhhh... what else is there to say?" "Well, you could at least say who you are. And, by the way, did you see a girl named Nepenthe anywhere?" Ambika said. Surprisedly, Naomi said, "I just saw her! She's over there!" Nepenthe emerged from behind a tree. "Anyway," Naomi continued, "how can I explain who I am? I'm not exactly sure of that... I was trapped in the World of Nothingness for so long that I don't have a clue who I am... *sigh* The world of Nothingness sure is a devastating place. And it's so far away from where we are... Using my powers to get back here sure wasn't easy... I had to..." "Stop right there!" Ambika blurted. "Naomi, you're coming with us!" "Really?" Naomi replied. She couldn't believe that she was talked into this. Bashfully, Ambika said to herself, "Why did I just let her into the group like that? Naomi could be lying..." Ambika just shrugged and greeted Nepenthe. She didn't even have a clue who Naomi was!
Solo Tremaine
OOC: I agree, your intro was fine ^_^ And so's the name. Although, Nefertimon, Raiha may want to write her own intro for Nepenthe. ----------------------------------------------- A cool breeze blew through the trees in the forest. Lying underneath a tree on the side of a clear bank, a tall, white-haired man listened to the ruslting of the leaves. It was a calming noise, one he'd grown to like since leaving his home in the mountains. As he looked up to the sky, he noticed a hint of grey in the sky overhead. "Just my luck." he grunted to himself. "It's going to rain before I reach the nearest settlement." Stretching out, he placed his hands behind his head. It was a rather uncomfprtable position to be in while wearing shoulder armour, but he didn't mind that much. Next to him lay a silvery-white staff with two large blades at each end, and a sack in which he carried provisions. He hadn't had anything to carry in it for a week now. He missed food. Sitting up, he looked down at the river below. He'd better move soon. the river would be sure to take him to civilisation. Picking up his staff, he slipped it into a holster belt slung over his shouder. Quickly, he made his way parallel to the river, along the top of the bank, his light blue armour glinting in the sun... ~Mystical Pan~
OOC: *agrees with Solo Tremaine* Raiha would want to introdue her own character. You may want to change your post so it doesn't have Nepenthe...and you don't have to be so quick in meeting Ambika. You may want to develop your character a bit more before meeting Nepenthe and Ambika.
Raiha
I do want to make my own intro. I do so now. *imperious glare* Because that intro you gave me Nefertimon...was not worthy. ~~~~~~~~~~ She smiled gleefully at Ambika's desperate searching. Then as, the younger of the two passed underneath a tree, she dropped down. Her body was lithe and slender, but the way she had landed in a perfect crouch, spoke of her strength. Nepenthe: Hello Ambika. Ambika: What took you so long? Nepenthe: I simply wanted to hear a note of panic in your voice...that dignified my answering. Ambika: I wasn't panicked.... The two women stared at eachother then burst out laughing. Naomi stared. Nepenthe fixed her with a long amberfilled gaze, and the bronze of her skin glittered in torchlight. Nepenthe: ...I suppose you must be surprised to see one of my kind. Naomi: ....I...no. Nepenthe: Don't lie to me. It's obvious. Your eyes are dialating, and your aura speaks of confusion.
James Gabriel
*The burial scene was a difficult thing to miss, such a gathering of hatred, fear and guilt, along with other feelings, was like a beacon to those who felt it. The seromony brought a single tear to the eye of the being who perched, frog-like, on a branch of one of the many trees that made up the forest. This was a feat that would not, under normal circumstances, be possible, but the cloaked figure was made incredibly light by some unknown force and his balance was almost perfect. The tear that formed ran down the pale cheek of the youthful face, leaving a trail of red behind it, as though the droplet was of blood. By the time it had reached the bottom of the face, the tear had left so much of itself behind that it now ceased to exist, the only mark remaining being quickly wiped away by a crimson sleeved arm. This was not the time for emotions. That beast was still to come, the one that had been left behind. Michael had spent a great proportion of his life cleaning up after this monster and he saw no reason why he should stop. Those beasts, as soon as they rose from the ground, would find out the hard way why this world was not for them. Obviously, this wouldn't be a lesson they lived to teach to any others of their kind.* Hmmm.... *Michael's attention turned to the other beings he could feel among the trees. These were not like the normal humans who carried out the burial, they had more... potensial. The figure took, from standing, an unnaturally long jump across to another tree. His landing made no movement or sound and the tree stayed as it was before. Seemingly he had made no difference at all to it, as though he didn't exist. The fingers of the youth were quite obvious now. Each one was elongated into a large claw, which he was using to grip the branch. It seemed that he didn't leave everything up to his abilities. From here he could now see the three figures in the forest below and hear them speaking, but he did not know what to make of them. Only time would tell how useful they would become. For now his form dissappeared, his abilities concentrating on making Michael totally undetectable. For even reality has a weakness.*
Imp
OOC: Hmmm... I'm totally mixed-up... I keep thinking I should quit this RPG... (spends a lot of time thinking about some way to separate Naomi from the others) IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naomi sat there in a clearing in the forest, quite far away from Ambika and Nepenthe. She heard a ringing sound... it sounded as if it weren't coming from the forest... RRRRRINGGG!!! It was the alarm clock! Naomi woke up, confused about the dream she had. Hurriedly, she jumped out of bed and dashed out the door. Then she stopped--she was completely confused. She kept thinking about the time when she saw Danormris and kept repeating his name in her head. At that time, she supposedly woke up. It didn't even make sense! How could she wake up twice? Maybe she had had a dream about having a dream? :confuse2: Whatever it was, Naomi realized that she had actually never met Ambika nor Nepenthe. Who knew where whey were... But Naomi knew where they were. She decided that she was not ready to meet them. She strolled sleepily back to her house and sat down on the front steps. She was just about to fall into a slumber again when she heard a howl coming from afar. It appeared to be getting louder and louder, and eventually, a small, green, foxlike creature leaped into Naomi's *** and hugged her tightly. Naomi's first instinct was to try to get the fox off of her, but she held it close bacause its fur was extremely soft, and it seemed to be crying. Within a few seconds, Naomi understood why it weeped--it was being chased by somebody! Could it be? Naomi looked in the same direction that the fox was running from and saw a man running towards her. As he came closer, Naomi saw that she had seen him before. Nervously, Naomi hugged the fox even more tightly. "Dan...norm...mris? Is...s..s th...th...that you?" Naomi stuttered. The man said nothing. All Naomi could do was stare at him for a while, but she dared not look into his eyes. She could have done it, but she was too frightened. She knew what the man wanted--he wanted the very fox she was holding. He wanted to kill the fox. Naomi shrieked and ran back into her house, still carrying the fox. The fox, whose name was Akito, crooned softly, and Naomi could tell that she was terrified of the man. Naomi hugged her close, reassuring her that she would be safe as long as she was close. And with that, Naomi let Akito go, and Akito jumped up onto the windowsill and watched the man through the window. He seemed to be trying to break into Naomi's house. Naomi told Akito to stay where she was. And with that, Naomi opened the door and startled the man. It really was Danormris! Naomi figured that out when she got a good look at him. He said, "Yes, I am Danormris, and I want that fox!" Naomi angrily told Danormris to go away, but he just stood there and laughed. "Naomi, I need that fox, and if I have to kill you first, then so be it." That was all the proof Naomi needed. Danormris actually did want to kill Akito! "Naomi, I'm warning you, everybody flees in fear when they see or hear me. I don't know why that isn't happening with you. Now, give me the fox or give me a fight!" Democritus shouted. Naomi just giggled--she knew that Danormris wouldn't stand a chance against her. :flaming: Naomi said, "OK, do you know, by any chance, where Ambika is?" Although Danormris didn't see it, a red number 10 appeared above his head. Naomi said to herself, "Enough to kill Danormris." Danormris shouted, "That's none of your business! Who needs to know... well, I'm confused. They're... in town?" The number above Danormris's head turned into a 1, then a 0. A fiery orange orb appeared in front of him as it exploded. The next thing Naomi knew, Danormris was gone. He had disappeared. He was still alive, but just barely. He was in the forest but very far from where Ambika was. Naomi shouted, "Wrong! She's in the forest!" She giggled and went inside her house. Akito was waiting there, happy that Danormris would not try to kill her again. Naomi said, "As long as I'm around, nobody can harm you!" She cheerfully petted Akito, now knowing that she had actually met Danormris before, not in hee dream, but for real. She apparently had fallen asleep when she saw him, and then had a dream about him. Naomi sighed with relief and continued petting Akito.
~Mystical Pan~
OOC: I'd hate t break it to you, but Danormris is a monster...very animal like...he can't talk and if he could, he wouldn't say anything. Also, he wouldn't spare anyone because his only existence is to detroy the souls of all living beings. Oo *is going to post her next post when she gets back* My mom wants me to have a life...oO I think for now, we should ignore that second post you made Nefertimon because it doesn't quite make any sense after what Raiha had posted. Solo Tremaine
Aidian felt the air against his face. Something didn't seem right. The currents were disturbed, suggesting unrest. Something ominous. Pulling his staff tighter to his back, he slid down the bank to walk alongside the river. He placed his hand underneath the river's rushing surface and felt another breeze gently caress his face. If his suspicions were correct, they were stil after him, and he'd have to cover his tracks. "Dammit," he hissed. He didn't want to use his trained abilities unless he had to. He'd be sure to attract some attention. But walking was too slow. Sighing in frustration, he started running along the riverbank, heading downstream. Once he reached the sea and found a boat, he could be free. Keeping a hold of his staff and sword, he sped along the grass at an almost unnatural speed, a strong current of wind propelling him forwards. Up ahead, he could sense a change in air current. There was a large waterfall nearby. Feeling slightly relieved, he quickened his pace. He skidded to a halt when his boots hit rock. Down below him lay the second half of the forest, basking in the sunlight. Up ahead, he could just make out the shapes of the tall stone buildings of the city. That was where he needed to go. Some way ahead, by the river, he could see a group of people carrying shovels, marching back towards civilisation in a single file. He recognised the formation. "A burial." he murmured. "I'd best not linger. I wouldn't want to get caught up in the politics of this." Savouring his high poition for a moment longer, his armour glowing magnificently in the sun and feeling the wind against his body, he spread wide his arms and leapt from the edge of the rock, spiralling downwards towards the ground below. As he neared the hard rock, he opened his eyes. The silver streaks shone a bright white for a brief second, and a huge rush of air swept up him from below. Gently, he touched down on the floor. Not wanting to wait a moment longer, he swiftly disappeared into the trees.
Jedah
OC: I CANT BELIEVE YOU GUYS STARTED WITHOUT ME!!!!!...just kidding lol. IC *The burial scene had become empty, the villagers return to their solemn home. The bodies beneath the dirt, the valley smelt of death and despair. He would no longer allow this to occur... Jedah sat, his throne room musty and dark...only red-burning flames of candles could light this chamber. He slouched back, his arm resting on it's rest, with his cold cheek laying on his fist. He stared into the viewing orb levitating in front of him. Jedah had observed the acts of Danormris for some time, he was hoping the hunters could destroy it, but to no avail was this achieved. The demonlord's eyes burned....this beast thing was ruining his plans. By murdering the humans, he had wounded their souls, dirtying them. This act made them un-suitable for the world of Majigen, the utopia where all could live in peace. No, Jedah had seen enough. The horrendous acts would stop. The measures needed did not affect him, no matter the cost, Jedah would spare the remaining human souls...until they were ripe, perfect for selection...selection to become part of Majigen. His eye's burst open....the energy within him swelled. His anger rose, as his mentality sharpened. He pulled his cheek up off of his arm, and waved his hand from left to right, causing the visual orb to dissolve. Jedah rose from his chair, he began to levitate forward, the demons feet a millimeter or so above the marble checkered floor below. As Jedah crossed the great hallway, a portal of blood slowly opened at the far end. It grew, large enough so a man could easily walk through it.... As the demonlord approached it, a pool of blood formed behind him on the ceiling, droplets splashing to the marble tile, which instantly melted into the floor itself. A winged scaley dragon slowly dripped from the pool, and soared forwards, catching up to it's master Jedah. Jedah: "Do not be alarmed Gorgon. I will only be gone a short while...stay back and guard the palace." Gorgon: "Yes my lord...as you command." The dragon roared loudly, and dissolved into blood, which splattered against a nearby wall, then evaporated. Jedah's body floated into the spiraling portal, and vanished from the world of Maki... Above the graves of the ill-fated young boys, a orb of blood slowly appeared, and grew outwards in a spiraling motion. As it continued to grow, Jedah's frame slowly melted through it, the blood of the portal caressing off of his body, and vacuuming back into the center of the transport. It slowly dissipated to nothingness, as Jedah levitated steadily above the graves of the boys. The dirt was very fresh, as were the corpses. Jedah slowly and silently closed his eyelids...and raised up both his hands symmetrically at his sides, his palms facing the sky. As they arose to chest level, the dirt covering the bodies below, soared into the sky at blinding speed, and suddenly stopped, hovering above Jedah's head by no more then a foot or so. It was quite an amazing site, the dirt stretched about 10 or 12 feet through the air, above the demon. It was as if gravity was un-affecting, as Jedah had his magical power quite well used on this realm before. The corpses of the boys were now visible, their horrible wounds a signature from their murderer. Jedah's closed eyes winced suddenly, as the boys bodie's were somehow split open in their backside, like a egg. The sight was sickening yet necessary...as three black orbs arose from their innards. Jedah opened his eyes, and observed the orbs color.....black.....they were stained, dirtied, un-suitable. The demon released his arms, allowing them to collapse freely. As he did, gravity came crashing down, and the dirt careened back to the ground, covering the bodies and souls once again. Jedah flew forward, as he noticed a forest up ahead. He lowered himself to the ground, as his eyes peered into the forest. He sensed lifeforms. Human's seemingly, but on this realm, nothing was certain to him. They were recognized in his mind as hunters, searching the same objective as himself perhaps. He hoped this were the case. Jedah knew his abilities, but he knew his limitations in this realm....and he knew the abilities of Danormris. Suddenly, his body glimmered to a crimson red color, the details of his body dissapeared, and he became a silhouette of pure warm blood. Jedah's frame then collapsed in aqueous fashion, a tidal wave of blood.....it crashed and flowed along the ground, breaking through the tree-line of the forest. The ocean of red liquid burst through the woodery, loud clashing between blood and trees could be heard througout it's denseness. As he en-trenched deeper and deeper into the area, Jedah felt the beings grow closer and closer... Ambika was glad to see Nepenthe...that feeling was mutual, as portrayed on their faces. As Ambika looked behind Nepenthe, she noticed a strange site. A rushing ocean of blood was crashing through the forest, coming closer and closer to their location. Her eyes grew, as her mouth vaulted slightly. As Nepenthe turned around, the wave of blood was in front of her, at it's continuous speed. At this rate, it would engulf them in mere seconds, but....alas, it froze in place. The waves were suspended in animation directly in front of the two warriors. The waves suddenly shrank backwards, and blended together, to from a man. The red silhouette of Jedah returned, as the details of his body were seemingly "drawn in." His color returned, as the wave of liquid was subsided long ago. Jedah outstretched his fingers, as his form was finally returned. He outstretched his wings, and opened his eyes to the two. Jedah: "I am Jedah. Ruler of the realm Makai. I understand this world is plagued by a beast....by the name of Danormris. This beast is interfering with some of my very delicate ermm...plans. My purpose in your world is to assist in it's utter destruction..." The demonlord showed a sign of courtesy and alliance, as he bent before the two females, his hand tucked into his stomach, as he bowed before them for a moment before returning to his levitated stance...*
Imp
OOC: This post is going to be kinda short, but it's the best transition I can give... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later in the day, just as the last ray of the sun was about to disappear at the horizon, Naomi decided that it was time to find Ambika. Nepenthe was now with her; they had already met. Naomi was confused again; according to her vision of the scene in the forest, Nepenthe and Ambika had already met her! How could that be? In the forest, Nepenthe was wondering where Naomi went. She apparently disappeared the minute Nepenthe started talking to her. Maybe it was just a hallucination. Then how come Ambika saw her? How could they see the same mirage? Or maybe Naomi could teleport... Suddenly, a girl was seen in the distance. To Ambika and Nepenthe, she looked familiar. "Naomi?" Ambika called. It was Naomi! Naomi walked over to where Ambika and Nepenthe were, totally confused about her "dream." Naomi had her arms folded in front of her as if she were carrying something in them, but nothing was there. Naomi said, "Isn't she cute? This is Akito, the..." She looked down and saw that Akito was not there. "Akito? Akito?!? Where are you, Akito?" Nepenthe thought that Naomi must have beeen dreaming; Naomi was talking to an invisible creature. After searching for Akito for a while, she realized that Akito didn't really exist--the experience with Danormris and Akito was all part of a dream! Now Naomi was extremely confused; what was a dream and what wasn't? Maybe she just kept having dreams about Danormris, but the Danormris in her dreams was not actually the real Danormris. She came to a conclusion: "If the Danormris I see is different, I'm in a dream." Therefore, every experience with Ambika and Nepenthe was not a dream! Naomi sighed in relief, hoping that she had finally solved her dream problem. At least she knew that she was in reality again.

~Mystical Pan~
OOC: Yeah?I know?*hangs head* ----------------------------------------------------------- *As she raised herself from the ground to the level of both warriors, the corners of Ambika?s mouth lifted into a sardonic smile and she turned to Nepenthe. Raising her right eyebrow making it obvious to her what she thought of this newfound ally, even if he would be temporarily. Ambika could not refrain from contemplating his actual allegiance, if he truly wished to assist them. Nepenthe seemed to sense this within her, as she did with most things. Maybe that?s why Ambika always kept her guard up around Nepenthe?she seemed to sense all, however, for the same reason Ambika was not reluctant having someone like her around. She did not need words to express her concerns for her companion seemed to become aware of them instantly. It was a rather peculiar situation for her, but Ambika was growing accustomed to it seeing as Nepenthe let her have her privacy and not pry where she need not be prying. Tilting her head toward the right, Ambika questioned Jedah in a voice only above a whisper.* Ambika: ?How do we know for sure you aren?t aligned with him in some way or the other? As far as I know, you have given no real reason for us to let you even near us.? *Suddenly, a voice in her head began to drum itself into her thoughts. A voice Ambika always kept at bay?it was always treacherous...always needing to feed.* (Be careful?he can be rather tricky if I do say so myself. He would make a rather tasteful collection, wouldn?t you say?) (Silence. I need not your opinion.) *The voice inside seemed to chuck in a childish manner, it?s voice resembled one, but the undertone was that of a demons.* (The hunger will return, child.) (You would like that, wouldn?t you? I rather rot in Adesto?s arms.) (Last time I recalled?you did.) (Damn you! Let me be?be gone with you!) *With her last thoughts screaming in her head, Ambika seemed to banish the voice, even for awhile. However, her outward appearance did not betrayed the inner battle within her.*

Juu
Hmm... Guess I'll use a different color for the rpg... --------- Laitina's raven like eyes stalked the travelers like a hawk apon its prey. She didn't move. Studying the two's features, her black eyes glistening in the moonlight, Laitina's black hair swayed in front of her silently. Her fingers began to glow, like a fire's flicker amongst a stone wall. Her fingertips rose as a spark of fire jolted below. The two whirred around immediately, fists ready in an open stance. Laitina leaped down from the branch, her hands and feet gracefully landing below in the grass. The breeze shifted as the beams of the moon made it so she seemed to glow. The two glared at her, still shocked from the fire bolt that had struck in front of them. They stared at her startled. She seemed to be a ghost. "What are you?" One man exclaimed, raising his staff. Laitina smirked as the glow faded into an orange light. She raised her forefingers as a hieroglyphic letter appeared. She twisted her palm as the man flipped over to his stomach. Gasping, he stood up, and charged towards her, waving his fist in the air. Laitina put a palm to his fist, a wave of impact bouncing off a jelly-like wall on her fingers. She thrust her wrist forward, sending the two men in mid air. "Congratulations." Laitina said softly. "You will come with me. If you try to escape, you will be the next sacrifice."
Amorphous
OOC- I didn't realize we started the rpg already. lol. *The stillness of the lake was a hypnotic trance, that hadn?t been desecrated by humans hands and was more pure then any heart within this pathetic world of emotions. A small child of the age of nine ran by the bank with glee and joy. The child slowly closed in on the forest as he ran with joy and he was happy. A small rustling in the bushes sent a few animals scurrying away in a state of fear. The boy became curious on what would scare the animals away like that. He slowly tiptoed to the bushes a quietly as he could, he slowly bent down and put his hands onto the grass the was firmly pressed down from his force. He moved closer and closer leaving prints in the grass for a few obscure seconds. A piece of sweat trickled down his face, he was anxious to find out what it was, but a the same time afraid of what it could be and wanted to finish this a quickly as possible. Slowly he moved his hands in front of him and placed them into the bushes. Spreading the shrubbery apart he peered into the unknown. Nothing was there... nothing, he slowly took his arm and slid his hand across his face and wiped away his sweat. He smiled and turned around and said. ?Well I guess nothing was there...? And there in front of him stood a demon. With long silver claws attached to his hands, huge muscles bulged throughout the demons body. He towered over the boy to a height of 9?10. His skin color was brown and red mixed with in the brown. Small black spots littered his body. The boy tried to yell but was completely silent, he could not move his mouth to make a word. Nothing would come out no matter how much effort was applied. ?die.....? the demon said without thought or meaning. Small holes started appearing on his body from out of nowhere, just like a black hole in the middle of space. From each one those holes emerged a small silvery white blade, the size of a small blade. Slowly they wriggled out of the body. Then attached to these vines were small red veins that wrapped around them as the became inch by inch longer and outstretched to where the boy lay in fear. The demon smiled and the vines snatched the small boy, then slowly the vines wrapped around the boys arms and legs and neck. He tried to struggle but every time he did they tightened, the tightened so much that the boy finally yelled out in immense pain. The demon without a flinch moved his arm out in the middle of the air. He slowly grasped and invisible presence in his hand, and the second that it closed the sounds of the boys yells became silent beyond them but where heard within the boundaries that the demon had seemed to set. Slowly the small blades rose high up into the air letting the sun beams reflect the light of them. Without a second wasted, the blades plunged deep into the major arteries of its victim. The blood within the body was not in contact with oxygen that was outside of the body. Letting the blood stay its original color that it should always be. The most purest way to obtain it. This blue blood slowly slid up into the huge veins slowly it drained his blood and the demon just stood emotionless and almost oblivious to what he was doing. Suddenly a jerk ripped through the demons body and he released the boy from his grips. The demon picked up the lifeless body and smirked, he through it into the woods and it made big thud. Without another look the demon started to run the other way. *an hour later* Waking up from a long slumber propped against a huge tree trunk he reached up to his face and rubbed his forehead and groaned out loud. ?what a headache....? He jumped up suddenly on full alert, almost in a cat like readiness. But it wasn?t for any real apparent reason except for the part of being ready to maim anything that could of been near to hurt him. ?So you say that you have seen a demon unlike any others have you?? Bazlik said out loud, but nobody was anywhere for miles to listen to what he had say. He seemed schizophrenic and maybe the insanity of being alone and away from humans had finally caught up to him. The dark cage within the deep reaches of his mind was unlocked. But it wasn?t just insanity it unlocked, it unlocked his counterpart as well. But he still wasn?t sure of what was real and what was just a figment of his imagination. ?I guess they were right to exterminate me from the O.S.H. (organization of shadow hunters). I?m glad they did this because now I am non-existence to the world and not a shred of prove, is around to prove I am alive.? Bazlik smiled at his agony and swerved his head staring deeper into the darkened woods. ?There?s something in this woods that smells good, it smells like a demon....? Solo Tremaine
The guard on top of the sentry tower yawned loudly. He hadn't wanted to sign up for this. Standing inept at the top of a large pillar of rock, watching for 'demons'. He spat in disgust. Demons. What drivel. Anyone with any sense knew those boys had been playing too close to the waterfall and just fell off. Those deep gouges were just... scratches from branches. Yes, that should do. Branches. He didn't believe in demons. After all, if it wasn't real, how could it hurt you? As he lazily scanned the trees for signs of movement, he was aware of a cold chill shuddering down his spine. Everything around him suddenly began to get darker. Curious and slightly afraid, he turned around... Aidian heard the terrified scream and sprinted off in the direction from which it came, spinning his staff through the air. He knew he said he didn't want to get caught up in the politics, but this was different. This scream was of pure terror. He'd never heard anything like it before. As he reached the tower, he saw red liquid dripping slowly down from the top, oozing down lazily like a crimson snake. Gearing himself up for a grizzly sight, he spread wide his arms and leapt up. A burst of wind carried him high up to the top, and he landed safely on the battlements. A horrifying sight met his eyes. He'd never seen someone so badly mutilated. The body looked to be partly burned around massive gouge marks, and bones and organs had been split in two, protruding form the blackened skin. The man's eyes had turned a dark grey, dead terror forever freezing his face in a contorted scream. As he started to take in the horror of the situation, he noticed a dark shape disappear into the forest below. He considered following it, but three people emerging from the forest path distracted his attention. Two female warriors and a male in clothing he'd never seen before stared up at him. This didn't look good for him...
Jedah
*The demon was semi-puzzled. This female's mind trickery was matched to his. He found it oddly stimulating. Yet, he was semi deterred thay they would doubt his alliance. It was expected however, it's not everyday a demonlord from a different realm appears to help the side of good. He noticed this girl was somehow searching within him, for emotions or something else of falicy. She would find no trace of either, but it still bothered him. Jedah cracked a smirk, and closed his eyes slowly. he spoke in a steady echoed tone, as his head turned to Ambika... Jedah: "Young lady, do you really believe a demonlord such as myself would simply make a random trip to this realm out of the goodness in my heart? Or perhaps you think i'm here to assist Danormris? No no....it seems he is doing quite well without the help of any other dark specimen. Perhaps if I shed some light on my purpose, you will be quicker to believe me. Within my hollowed body, lies a void. A void where I steadily collect the souls of warriors, kings, queens, demons, the race or species makes no in-difference. This, "jar", within me directly forms to the utopian realm known as Majigen, where all souls can live in perfected harmony. The intermission of this Danormris, has dirtied the innocence of the human souls the demon has crossed paths with. This process has delayed my plans immensely, therefore, I have arrived to assist in it's demise. Whether you choose to accept my alliance or not is your own decision, I will seek out the beast either way...." Jedah laughed lightly, as his head shifted to the one who challenged his own cleverness, he exploited her plots... Jedah: "And you...staring into the depths of my being, I wish you luck in finding your way out. Eavesdropping can be a risky obsession..." The demon was suddenly hit with a wave, mentally of course, as he sensed two more life forces in the sudden vicinity. His eyes still closed, his smirk became solid once again. Suddenly, a geyser of blood burst vertically from the ground in front of him, spouting no higher then his own head. It continued to spout and sputter, like it was coming from an endless supply somewhere underground. The girls looked at him horrified in the first instant, but maintained their steady-faced awe normally. Slowly, a enormous scythe emerged from the geyser, the blood steadily flowing and dripping from it's shiny elongated blade. The geyser dissipated, the blood on the ground evaporated as the scythe steadily floated into Jedah's awaiting hand. Jedah: "Above us." The two warriors in front of him immediately shot their glances upwards, to notice a man. In heavy guard clothes, he seemed either lost, or looking for something...*
Raiha
A simple staff of cherrywood and iron leapt into hands, and she immediatly stood down. The stone set into her blood bonded slingblade glowed white and then dark again. Aidian looked at her, unafraid but still edgy. Nepenthe smiled and waved. Nepenthe: Come down. And know us better. Ambika: ....what are you doing Neth? Nepenthe: Trust me. Warrily, Aidian leapt down and watched them. Nepenthe stepped fowards and extended her hand. He took it uncertainly, then, as their skin touched....a silently flowing current moved through him and her.... An underlying feeling of pain and exchanging. The Makai watched them with some intrest. Why would that girl do such a thing? From what he could see, she was human looking enough. But when did she learn how to match wits with him? Nepenthe released his hand and smiled again, this time, showing feral teeth and half closed eyes. Ambika: ...hello. Nepenthe: Aidian...welcome. This is Jedah, and she is Ambika. We fight against Danomris. Whom do you serve? Her half shut eyes glinted and became even more unreal. Aidian did not lie, and watched her. Nepenthe: ....excellent. Ambika?
~Mystical Pan~
*Ambika?s eyes swept up and down Aidan as Nepenthe had shook his hand. Ambika twitched slightly at the sight of them shaking hands. She did not know Aidan or Jedah and this sudden meeting of strangers was keeping her from putting her guard down. Instead, it only amplified her paranoia of having traitors among her. Running her hand through her black, silk-like hair, she turned to Nepenthe as she addressed her.* Ambika: ?We must continue our journey?but not until the two newly forming spawns of Danormris have been destroyed which isn?t hard. The monster has gained much ground since it?s seeding?we will need to find the closest village in the north?it will be heading to Adesto, its master.? Raiha
She sighed with resignation and leaned on her staff. Not only was she looking forward to this, her chance of revenge was closer than ever before. Coming up before her....she could almost taste it. That delicious feeling of revenge that filled her up like a flight through the cliffs, and into the ocean. Nepenthe: ....good. Ambika: What?!? Nepenthe: ....do not decieve the naive child Ambika. We're not in this to save the world...although that is a rather noble cause. Aidian: Hmmm....mmm...so you're in it for revenge Ambika? Some sort of twisted killing thing? The sound of grinding teeth filled the air...and Nepenthe expertly ducked under Ambika's swing. She danced out of range and waved.
~Mystical Pan~
*Making a quick jerk with her head, Ambika could only glare at Nepenthe for she did not waste her words with her. Nepenthe knew very well that Ambika was irritated at the information she had just shared and for a split second, Nepenthe saw something no one else had seen, her anger. Even though, it was only a fragment of what anyone had seen, her companion was a bit taken back, but not frightened. Nepenthe was not the typed to be frightened, but what she had seen in Ambika?s eyes, made her wary of her. Ambika saw a small smile from Nepenthe, a smile that seemed to say she had found yet another thing that made Ambika tick. However, there was no real NOT to share it since Ambika never once stated she was in it to save the weak pathetic humans. That was far from her mind, though those sweet, delectable souls were going to a rather bad waste by having them destroyed. After what seemed an eternity, Ambika spoke.* Ambika: ?Nepenthe, I?m not telling you any secrets anymore.? *The hint of amusement was in Ambika?s voice and it was picked up easily by Nepenthe. In spite of this, Ambika?s severe tone returned once more.* Ambika: ?I rather keep our reasons of destroying Danormris to myself, Nepenthe. However, if you feel a need to tell them, then do so. But, I think it?s rather obvious I?m not in it to save this insignificant world.
Raiha
Nepenthe chuckled. It had nothing to do with the secrets told, but eveything to do with body language and senses. With every mention of the words of Adesto and Danomoris....anger grew inside of her. Nepenthe: So sorry. Ambika: No you're not. Aidian: ....are we going to go then? Ambika: Of course we are. Nepenthe leaned on her staff easily and watched the antics of the group. The Mazoku was quiet, and she glared at him, half teasing, half interested.
Solo Tremaine
OOC: I hope this is okay. Heh, I got a little lost ^_^; -------------------------------------------------------- Aidian eyed the others carefully. Who were these people? They seemed to have an understanding of powers similar to his, which brought him to think that it would be beneficial to stay with them. On the other hand, Nepenthe had looked straight into his mind. He wasn't sure whether to trust them. The large Makai gave him a wary look, and Aidian gave a quick nod and a smile back, if nothing else to appease the demon-like creature and make sure he thought Aidian was on the right side of him. Jedah didn't look too impressed. Slowly, each watching the others' every step, they walked towards the city through the forest the stretched out in front of them. As they continued, Ambika grew ahead of the group, alone in her thoughts and distracted by anger. Aidian had grown used to being alone, but not when others were around. Clenching his fist around the long staff in his hand, he began to wonder whether the ulterior motives of this 'group' would lead to trouble. The last thing he wanted was to be blackmailed into committing another crime. As they reached the gates to the city, Aidian grew more and more tense, giving sideways glares to each of the three he was accompanying as they walked past rows of guards. Suddenly, a burly man in murky gold armour thrust a spear towards Ambika's face. "Halt!" he grunted. "Who goes there?" Nepenthe gave a wry smile as she watched Ambika's shoulders tense with anger and Aidian tense with apprehension. Jedah simply stood behind them, quietly amused by their current situation. He didn't need to do any of this, technically. But it would be interesting to see how the story unfolded.
