*Jedah hovered above the ground some, his body slightly bobbing up and down. As the guard's brazen armor glimmered, and his spear blocked Ambika's path, the demonlord smirked. He let out a small laugh, his charismatic deep voice was built with a slight echo and vibrancy, as if every word was to be taken with consideration.
The demon suddenly thrust his wings open, their metallic flaps shined amazingly in the suns blessing. The guard turned his head towards Jedah, no, it wasn't enough that he was levitating, but he had wings as well. The demonlord closed his wings, as he would allow either Ambika or Nepenthe to handle this situation...*

*Bazlik slowly walked up to a trunk of a tree and jumped up to the branches above, he slowly balanced himself on the tip of one of the smallest branches. Sensing which way he had to go next he skipped from tree to tree, until a town of some sort became visible. Not knowing of anything of a town for years he was not sure of what to expect or to find. He increased his pace as he jumped from tree to tree, until he was right at the gate. There below him stood an odd group of people,. He smirked at this site and decided to head into the town from tree top. While these people had there heads turned, he jumped as fast as he could possibly could. Rooftop to rooftop he leaped and then into an alleyway. Landing gently on his feet he preceded into the cluttered streets. Walking along the side walk, he wonder if the things called bars where still around. Sure enough there stood a bar just at the end of the block. He headed for it and slammed open the door. As he walked up to the counter everybody just stared at him. Until he reached the counter and they all went back to minding there own business. Bazlik plopped a few coin onto the counter and asked for a beer, since nothing else he knew of or even wanted for that matter. The bar keep finished fast and slid it down to him.*

*Watching inquisitively from the trees as the guard stopped the group, Michael smiled. He hated this kind of delay. Maybe something could be done to spark it off...

Maintaining his grip on the lack of himself he produced, Michael made a minor change to the world around him. Little things could grow, as he knew from experience. The ground beneath the guard's left foot became slightly slippier and he stumbled. Michael knew this would be seen as aggression. That was what he wanted, to watch the ensuing fight and judge those he followed.*

*Irritation clouded Ambika?s eyes for a second, however, she knew how to handle this situation well. These humans were pathetic enough to ally themselves with anyone that was against Danormris, not caring what their true motives were, nor, expecting how destructive they could be.*

Ambika: ?Enemies of Danormris. Let us pass or we'll let him have you.?

*At her subtle threat, the guards practically jumped backwards. Her eyes burrowed into the guards, which made them shrink, back more. Nepenthe was not the only one that can see through people, Ambika could also, but not to the extent her companion could. She could only see though certain levels of the person?s psyche. Ambika did not mind, for it was to her advantage not to get too close to anyone?s feelings. She began walking forward, giving the guards a slight nod that told them they had made a wise decision*

OOC: Oh fudge! >< I didn't see James's new post. I'm at school and the bell rang...I'll edit this later if it still doesn't fit. >< Sorry people.

Nepenthe watched the area around her. Something didn't feel right. She followed Ambika and the others....then snapped her head around and glared up. Michael....his name. She could tell.

She waved a hand to him and gave a jerk of her head, indicating that he should follow. The overseer of Reality looked at her and smiled slightly.

Nepenthe: Keep moving Ambika...I'll take care of our shadow.

Ambika: ....good.

She barely moved her lips, but she could almost see Ambika's face. Michael leapt down and landed easily. Nepenthe brought out her staff and tipped it at him in an old fashioned bow.

*Swallowing down the beer, he left the counter in slight disgust. He always remembered beer to taste so much better. Maybe it was just an acquired taste he used to have. He slowly pushed himself off the bar stool and everybody started staring at him once again. Bazlik didn?t seem to want to know they where doing this. But with that many eyes staring at him he couldn?t take it anymore, just about to flip out on everyone one, a hand fell onto his shoulder, he swerved around ready to knock whoever it was out. But instead he stopped in mid punch and just stared at the person in front of him.*

?what do you want...??
?I?ve heard some talk about strange people around and we don?t want you in here, you aren?t from here. Leave or I will be forced to hurt you.!??
?Hurt me... heh... pathetic?
?WHAT DID YOU SAY!?
?I said you were pathetic, because you couldn?t hurt me even if you tried.?

*the man took a swing at him but missed miserably and slammed his fist into pole. A few other people got up to stare at the site of a bar fight waiting to happen. Once the man was on the ground another man took his place with a chair in his hands, he slammed on Bazlik?s back trying to send him plummeting to the ground. Bazlik just stood and laughed. The man was stunned by that not hurting him at all and before he could move Bazlik smashed his foot into the stomach of the man sending him flying into the wall instantly killing him. He broke into a hysteria of laughing. As though he was completely out of his mind. He slowly walked out the front door and down the street laughing, as everyone was looking at him with strange faces. Suddenly screams flew through the front door of the tavern, blood flung out of the door and onto the sidewalk. Women and children accompanied the screams as they saw the blood on the ground. Bazlik heard, but choose not to see. He just walked on laughing. As the mental picture in his head of what had just happened took form.*

?I wonder why people always die around me....? He thought of that for a second and started laughing at that thought.

?I wonder.... hmmmmmm, who were those strange people at the gate, let alone the powerful being that was with them. I couldn?t penetrate his thoughts, but the rest have there own purpose, and don?t really want be with each other. Pathetic, but still who is that strange demon... that was with them. Odd. Oh well, if I have it my way they will be dead too. This demon they are hunting it sounds interesting. To bad I don?t feel like pursuing such a pathetic beast.?

*Jedah smirkes slightly, as nepenthe stayed behind with this "Michael". Jedah glided forward, following Ambika and Aidian.
As the passed the guard who had slipped embarassingly onto his buttocks, he quickly got to his feet, and grasped his spear. The three continued to walk, as Jedah slowly pulled his hand out form his left pocket. He released his hand from side to side, tossing a red orb from it.

Jedah: "Sleep."

The orb hit the guard in his stomach, encasing him immediately in a blinding red shell, which dissipated as quickly as it appeared. The guard fell to the ground once more, sound asleep. Jedah laughed slightly, as he tucked his hand back into his pocket and proceeded to follow Ambika and Aidian into the city....*

Aidian glanced round cautiously at the guards flanking the city gates. They were watching them intently already, with Jedah having sent one of them to sleep. Some were tempted to call for reinforcements, others tempted to start attacking them there and then. Others, were too scared to do anything. Were they the demons attacking everyone? They could tell the guard wasn't dead, but they didn't want to tangle with anything that powerful. As Aidian and Ambika entered the gates, Jedah close behind, the white-haired warrior turned to her.

"Are you going to explain to me exactly what we're doing here now, seeing as I've been annexed into your group?" he hissed, not too pleased with having been roped into something against his will.

Ambika gave him a warning glance. "There will be time for explanations later. We've gathered too much attention already without us discussing demons out in the open."

Aidian rolled his eyes. It looked like the dock was going to have to wait for the moment. He looked over his shoulder to where Nepenthe and another warrior were standing. As he did, he cought the eye of an older guard, thin and wisened with age. As the two's eyes met, something clicked. A great swell of fear rose up inside Aidian. he'd been recognised. The guard leapt forwards, sword outdrawn, yelling at the top of his voice.

"Arrest them!" he screamed. Suddenly, all of the guards leapt into action. Nepenthe and Michael ran to get through the gates, but a massive portcullis slammed down in front of them, barricading their way.

Aidian whirled his staff through the air and clouted two guards on the back of the head, knocking them off balance. They slammed onto the floor, where he gave them a swift blow to the back of their heads, knocking them unconscious.

Jedah weilded his scythe with sickening ease, deflecting the blows of the swords as if they were nothing.

Ambika growled at three guards trying to corner her, frustrated at the setback. As she drew her weapons, something stopped her. A voice in the back of her head she tried hard to repress. The three leapt upon her, yelling madly. Watching more guards pour into the street and at bladepoint themselves, Nepenthe and Michael began to try and burst their way through the gates.

The sorceress raised her voice in a howling incantation, blue magic swirling around her staff. With a swift tap and a spin, she dragged it down, point first into the ground. Torrents of water burst up from the ground, swirling and sucking guards down into the unknown....

Nepenthe: ....Deep Surround.....has it's points.

Michael: So anyone who stands in your way will be killed.....

Nepenthe: Exactly.

Ambika: Keep it up, we'll come around the back.

Using a half magic, half physical assult, Nepenthe's body glowed blue before she leapt forwards, twisting her spear around until it was ready to throw.

*As Ambika attempted elude the unaware guards, the voice within her head became louder than before and completely unavoidable. She did not desire to fight, at least not now. She did not need the complication of taking any more souls that she did not need. The voice emerged with a vengeance for being ignored before and now it drummed an all too familiar melody in her mind. Everything seemed to fade away into the darkness and Ambika stood alone. She came to an awkward halt and slowly turned around as if she was coming to a realization. The rhythm began to pulse through her body, heating her blood.*

(You want to dear Ambika?just do it. Go ahead. It?s ok. You?re not like them. )

(I?don?t want to?)

(Let one of them attack you and see how your body reacts?it?s in your blood?to kill.)

*Suddenly, Ambika became aware of her surroundings and easily evaded one of the guards. As his sword struck the ground, Ambika grabbed his chin with her right hand and looked directly in his eyes.*

Ambika: ?You dare think you are capable of defeating. You poor pathetic fool?you?re soul isn?t even worthy to be part of my collection.?

*As the last words rang in the air, the dark female warrior gripped him by the neck and back-handed him, tossing him quite a distance. Another guard attempted to assault her, but to his dismay, Ambika countered effortlessly with a single blow. However, this time, the blow was not powerful enough to hurl him off, but just enough to make him fall and bleed from his mouth. At the sight of blood, Ambika?s eyes began to change into a crimson shade that reflected the color of the blood. Licking her lips, Ambika stalked over to her fallen victim. She did not worry about the rest of the guards that had been after her, they were petrified by the blood red aura surrounding her, giving her the appearance of some being not of this world. The doomed guard attempted to scramble back but found himself too frightened to move. Kneeling before him, Ambika reached out with her index finger and caressed his cheek before lightly touching the blood. She had him almost hypnotized with her eyes. Licking the blood off her finger, she suddenly grabbed him with such a disgusting force, her victim could not scream. Taking him by the neck, she lifted him off the floor as she stood and instantly an opaque film of dark energy enveloped them both and shot towards the heaven making it look like a long cylinder. All that could be heard was the agonizing scream of the guard. *

*Unexpectedly, as it all had begun, it was all over. The dark energy dispersed and Ambika was send standing before the skeleton of the guard. Without any previous warning, she leaped into the air like a wild animal towards the nearest guard to begin her feeding once more. Everyone around knew that something had brought Ambika into a rage of pure hatred and hunger. She was lusting for blood, a hunger she thought she had satisfied a long time ago.*

Nepenthe smiled sardonically and straightened her body once more. Ambika pushed back her hair and looked at the shocked people. The older girl pointed her rod at the gates, and they shattered.

Ambika: .....damn.

Nepenthe: Your rage runs deeper than it did before Ambika.

The younger girl's eyes flickered slightly. The bodies of the fallen guards littered the ground like confettie, and Nepenthe casually stepped between them....quiet, and calm. Being very easy. She came into Ambika's sphere of influence, and leaned on her staff casually.

Nepenthe: You have blood on your face.

Ambika: ...it was too strong to resist this time.

Jedah: You're a monster.

Nepenthe: ...you're one to talk. You damned Mazoku. If you have anything constructive to say, say it! Don't stand and judge.

Naomi was asleep under a tree. Startled, she woke up, realizing that Ambika and Nepenthe had left already. She sat there for five minutes in a trance, still startled by the fact that Ambika and Nepenthe were gone. She also missed the introduction of Jedah. Naomi's first instinct was to find them and follow them, but after a while, she decided not to. She had been falling in and out of dreams all the time, and she got confused way too often. Maybe this world just wasn't meant for her, maybe she deserved to live in the World of Nothingness...

At that time, Naomi felt overwhelmingly depressed, feeling as if nobody liked her or even respected her... The only one who did was Akito, the fox she met in her dream. But it was just a dream. Akito was not real. She suddenly burst into tears, wishing Akito was there for her. She knew the world was in danger, but she had almost no hope of doing anything. She was a dreamer--possibly a little too much of a dreamer. Naomi thought and thought and thought of ways she could get out of this mess, and she took an extremely long time to do it...

Naomi gave up all hope and decided to split. Morosely, she sighed and held up three fingers, successfully splitting into three--an angel (Naitoma), a fox (Sereina), and a bunny (Taikura).

Naitoma, Taikura, and Sereina all flew up into the air, getting one last look at the planet. They nodded to each other and headed off in three seperate directions. Who knows where they were headed to--whatever it was, they would have most likely never united again. No more Naomi and no more hope.

Well, I'm not so sure about the "no hope" part--maybe they will reunite!

OOC: What this means is that I just quitted this RPG. Farewell, everyone!!! :bawl:

OOC: Bye, Neffie. Sory you had to leave.
--------------------------
Aidian eyed Ambika carefully, holding his bladed staff in a defensive position in front of him. The remaining guards had fled, luckily. Although he began to wonder whether it would be safer taking his chances with them or staying with these sinister warriors who seemed not to care about taking lives at all.

His gaze shifted to the skeleton on the floor. Its eyeless sockets faced the open sky, never to see again. This was an unearthly way to die.

He quickly looked around for any more guards and then moved over to Nepenthe. "We should go." he said sternly, giving her a cold stare. Jedah stood impatiently waiting for them to move, rattled by Nepenthe's outburst.

Slowly, Ambika pulled herself to her feet and wiped the blood from her face. "Follow me," she growled, kicking the skeleton in spite.

*Jedah became quite angered with the females words, and he turned to her. In the middle of the fighting, Jedah stood like stone, staring at Nepenthe. The female hesitantly looked at the demon, his glare sent nightmares to her mind, violent chills through her back. She turned quickly, as recognizing Jedah did not like being scolded.

Jedah: "You are the last species that should scold a Makai....pitiful.....you will destroy yourselves. It must be quite embarrasing to know it's your own nature to cause the extinction of your race."

Jedah thought he may have hit a nerve, or he may not have. He was simply delivering a message. All the quarreling between him and Nepenthe was the basis of mind games.......the demon's favorite. He then proceeded to face Ambika; and sorrowfully, he spoke.

Jedah: "There is a dark spirit within you. Eventually, it will overrun your sub-conscious. I wish there was a way to subside the beast, but it's insatiable hunger for warm blood runs deep. I want you to understand this Ambika.....when the time comes, and you are no longer yourself, the beast you have become will meet death by my scythe...and your soul will find permanent peace in Majigen."

Nepenthe: "It won't come to that demon...."

Jedah: "For ALL our sakes.....I certainly hope not.....death comes in many forms."

?spewing blood, spewing blood. May I have some? Bazlik danced around the man and kept repeating the sentence over and over. The man was on the floor terrified. Bazlik just kept dancing in a graceful manner as though he was mocking the person on the floor. ?its funny, you know I don?t even remember how I got here.? Bazlik stopped his dance and stared into the distance and stared back down at the man, he kneeled down and looked at the man. ?You smell of blood, may I have some? Laughing once again as he stood up.
?You know the light always burn when you stay in it to long... I wonder how it feels to be like a vampire when that happens. Do you know old man?? Bazlik started dancing again ?Of course not, your just a mortal fool? A sword flew past Bazlik?s face. In an instant he grabbed the hilt and flung it back, it slammed into the man?s chest and blood splattered all around the ground.

?I wonder why you people have to be so persistence in trying to kill someone you can not? He took the man from the ground and holding him up by his collar, slowly he lifted him into the air and laughed. ?don?t worry you?ll only feel a slight discomfort around the neck? He put his hands on the mans head and twisted his whole neck snapping it like a twig.

?I wonder if it is a wise idea to stay and have fun here... that weird group of people are still coming. Oh well, if they cross my path I will kill them?

The slingblade on Nepenthe's hip glowed blue briefly, before showering her with a light shower of energy.

It's own erthreal voice echoed around the group,

"I am become death, shatterer of worlds."

Jedah stared at the aquamarine, before glaring back into her silver orbs.

Nepenthe: Our race is bound to die some day. And when that day comes, we shall go down in all the glory and pain we can possibly muster. It's what every Laporin dreams of.

Jedah: Really now?

Nepenthe: ...and I will never end up in your little "heaven." I know exactly where I'm going. And I relish it.

*Ambika?s eyes darted back and forth between the quarreling warriors; she seemed almost a bit amused by it all. At least she found SOMETHING amusing, for she was still angered at the fact for letting that side of her appear. Slowly, she brought her hand up, grabbing the attention of all the warriors, then she addressed Jedah.*

Ambika: ?Jedah, you are correct when you say there is a dark spirit within me, that spirit is MY spirit?or you can say a side of it. It?s been split in, a part of it gone and replaced by the half of another. Now, come, we need to find a place to rest a bit and let everyone around us calm down.?

*She began to walk but suddenly stopped and turned to Jedah once more and gave him a satirical smile as she spoke to him once me.*

Ambika: ?I hate to disappoint you, dear, but if the ?beast? overcomes me once more and I know longer am myself?your scythe will never deliver one single blow. Nor will my soul be collected for your ?Majigen? unless my soul is complete. I may appear young, but, I?m far from it...Adesto made sure of that. And let me remind you, you are not the only being that can gather souls. I have mastered that quite nicely. Though, I do hate the remains when I do, a skeleton left is something I don?t deal with.?

*Leaving them in a state of uncertainty, she began to walk once more, knowing she put herself in a position not to be trusted. But she cared not, she needed only one thing?and one thing only.*

OOC: Gah..I really fudged up..LOL I didn't mean to have Ambika say Aidan...it was suppose to be Adesto. OO

Nepenthe smiled and continued moving. Not only was Ambika opperating on her true nature, she was also a strong reminder of her own past. Nepenthe's eyes glanced from side to side, and she couldn't keep the grin from appearing on her face. Her laughter sounded like running water.

Ambika: Something funny?

Nepenthe: By the gods....this is worth the aggrivation.

Ambika: You don't like Jedah much, do you?

Nepenthe: Aside from his rather dashing appearance, no.

Jedah: I beg your pardon?

The older of the two women glanced over her shoulder and winked. Then she looked forwards again. A strong undercurret of feeling rushed around the group, moving slowly and quickly at the same time.

*Jedah couldn't say he didn't like the situation, he was however a demonlord, sent for one purpose only. He could watch stars burn out instantly, a wave of his hand and the worst nightmares of a child danced to life. Yet, the mere amusement of a woman's company still made him tingle. He found sport in it he assumed, as he followed the group, his feet gliding a inch or so above the ground. He broke the silence, his mellow deep voice had a ping of echo in it, soothing with hymn to say the least.

Jedah: "You speak of Majigen as if it is a bad place. Picture a world where the purest of souls gather. Society is a pool of perfection, pain, violence, hatred.....are non-existant. I tell you, if my blood wasn't filled with the devilishness of 1,000 burning hells....I would almost find it beautiful. Denying the fact that it will be your ultimate resting place, is only denying yourself happiness."

Jedah closed his eyes and smirked, his head dropped slightly.

Jedah: "And Nepenthe.....will you PLEASE stop glaring at me like that, if you were butter, your body would be a puddle of sweetness in the palm of my hand darling."

The female shot a look back, and Jedah simply winked with his left eye, a crystaline burst of red light emitted from his pupil during the gesture.

Aidian: "Uh....I'd hate ot intervene, but where exactly are we headed?"*

Ambika: We are going where the stars go out.

Nepenthe: Oo, Malkariss.

Ambika: Eventually, yes.

Aidian: The realm of the Nightmare Gods...I find that rather...

Nepenthe: Daunting?

Jedah: It sounds lovely.

Nepenthe: Oh yes, this time of year, things are simply beautiful.

She smiled again, bearing no resemblance to the aforementioned butter.

Ambika: ?Now if you two have finished the bantering with each other, I would like for us to get a tavern. We will only stop for a short while. Also, I would not like to have more guards upon us.?

*Entering deeper into the city, large crowds were gathering around, discussing about the earlier events and Ambika decided to go through the back alleys instead to avoid them.*

Ambika: ?For a rather large city, news gets around fast. Anyone of you know a good place to stay...one that doesn?t attract too many visitors??

Nepenthe: I suggest the Inn of the Lost Voice.

Michael: ...I heard it was haunted.

Jedah: Perfect...

Ambika: How out of the way is it?

Nepenthe: It's run by Dorobo witches, go figure.

Ambika: I thought they had all died out in the War of the Mazuka's Age.

Nepenthe: Not exactly.

She smiled and followed the path set by the moving stars. The others silently followed. The Inn of the Lost Voice wasn't exactly perfect, but the beer was good, and the beds were even better.

"Well then I guess we are going to have to reck more havock on this city, its taking forever for them to find me."

*He ran down the street at an incredible speed. But not faster then what the human eye could catch. Everybody feared Bazlik and turned to hide in the shadows. Bazlik thought about it many times to kill some of the people on the way there. But it wasn't the time nor the place.
He headed down many blocks tiwsting and turning like it was through a maze. He finally slowed himself to a hault and peered down the street, there they where, the group of people at the gate. Slipping into the alleyway to a what seemed to be a hotel.*

*Jedah approached the inn steadily with the others. These witches are beings he had never heard of, he wondered if they were once residents of Makai. He observed the outer state of the facility, run-down and dark.

Jedah: "It's quite obvious as to why this place doesn't attract the common folk.....however....our own status is far from "common"...."

The demonlord then turned to Ambika. He could read peril all over her facial facade. This spirit within her was dwindling the cleanliness of her soul. Jedah would intervene shortly, but not without due cause or information, for the situation was still not entirely clear.

Jedah then analyzed his own thoughts for a change....why was he even teaming with this crew of warriors? He would be better off on his own agenda. He was semi-interested in his teammates for the time being....Nepenthe tempted him deeply into a flirtatious chess game. Aidian, however not knowing our reason, or our course of action, has joined nonetheless.....his loyalty will be greatly needed in the future, as will Michael's.

Yet...the most interesting person to Jedah, was Ambika. Her struggle's with the inner spirit of darkness was very obvious to the Demonlord. Jedah was unsure of whether he wished to assist this woman, or simply remove the soul from her for his own purposes....the answer would be revealed in due time.*

*Following Nepenthe, Ambika felt rather strange. She did not like the fact of going to an inn run by witches that had been believed to have died out. Any beings that kept themselves secret for such a long time must have a reason to keep to themselves. Beings like that could never be trusted.*

(Kind of like you, uh, Ambika?)

(You?re getting quite annoying. That stunt you did back there wasn?t what I needed at the moment.)

(But you relished it, didn?t you? When was the last time? When was the last time you?ve fed?)

(I eat quite well, you impudent bastard. Go away)

(That hurt on the inside...*chuckles* How can you tell yourself to go away?)

(Be gone or I?ll do what I should have done)

(Fine?but we both know you would never do it?you?d destroy him also.)

(............................)

*A cold shudder passed through her as it made it?s exist back into the abysmal depth of her mind. Instinctively, she felt a gaze upon her and she found herself lock eyes with the demon known as Jedah. She did not feel quiet alarmed by his presence, just wary of it. Maybe it was because they were more alike than she?s like to admit?or were they? He stared back at her with the same intense look and suddenly she lifted her right eyebrow as if asking him what he wanted.*
