I have been playing the Silver version allot lately and after this question I know I will have others. So instead creating a bunch of differen't threads, I'll post them all right here. For my first question.

Is there a way that you can change your pokemon's nick name? If so where can you do this.

Thanks. :D

[Edit]I know that now. Anyway I can't beat Morty, he keeps putting my pokemon to sleep and eating their dreams.

Well, there are two places to do this. The only one I can remember off hand is Lavender Town.

*searches for other place*

That's the only place I can find. If someone else knows the other location, feel free to help.

Like he said, one place you can change a Pokémon's nickname is in Lavender Town in Kanto. The other place you can change it is Goldenrod City in Johto. You can't change it's name if it is a traded Pokémon, though. You'll have to ask your friend to name it for you before you trade.

The only downfall to that plan is that you can only get one Mint Berry per day. The only place to get one is at the Moo Moo Farm near Ecruteak City.

Another thing you can do is use a high-level Kadabra or something like that. Those Pokemon can KO a Haunter (and, hopefully, Gengar!) in one hit! Or you could use Stantler to put those ghosts to sleep. Or Noctowl would also be good there. Or, you can use your own Haunter!

A downfall to that is if your "high-level" pokemon is over level 40. It won't listen to your commands most of the time.

To beat Morty: Catch a hoothoot and a geodude. Don't let both of them evolve. Then when Hoothoot reach level 34, it'll learn confusion. Let hoothoot evolve at level 35. When Geodude reach level 36, it'll learn EarthQuake. Let Geodude evolve at level 37.

Extra preperation: While you train those 2 pokemon and the others, get Mint berries. Once you have 6 Mint berries, stop getting them and buy 6-12 awakenings. WHen you're ready to battle Morty, equip every pokemon with Mint berries so when your pokemon become asleep they'll be awake instantly.

Good luck....
