Im otaku in rank, but I would rather be able to put up my own couple of words. Sorta like how people have no life, or some of the other individual things. Im sure no life is the rank for people with an enourmous number of post, but I would like to have something I came up with for my rank. So how or can, I go about changing that status. I don't believe custom ranks have ever been a feature at OB but I have seen some people with the rank "Moderator and Idiot" as a joke, so maybe it's a good idea. I remember an old thread asking about custom ranks and James said that he would think about it when people reached the highest preset ranking. There are a few reasons why, which I've explained before on various occasions. Nobody has yet reached the highest rank, however. TheShinje Posted January 23, 2003 Share Posted January 23, 2003 I can understand the situation with custom titles, having moderated a vbulletin board myself (not as flash as OB) where they let the users have custom titles, and they would pose as moderators and administrators, and abuse the heck out of other members, who saw through their trickery. They were also nasty to newbies, who then left, thinking badly of our staff. The board collapsed soon after. I had vividly campaigned against them, as well as alot of other things. I was the most frustrated moderator, and the one the members would hate the most. But, if i could choose a title, i would go with "the undecided", seen as I have, how many useless and deleted names? under my belt :p trust me, through experience, custom titles can destroiy a board ~_^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We just didn't get to choose them. :whoops: And yeah, Break and Asuka's titles are sort of little jokes. Category Moderators have custom titles because it's part of their job title.
