FFIX's Ending...

So, I finally beat FFIX (9 for the lamen) and I remembered hearing about multiple endings, with only one being the good ending. In the one I saw...
...Zidane goes back to save the injured Kuja, only to be nearly be killed. He reappears after "some time" (I figure 6 months at least since Dagger's hair is grown back) and he and Dagger are joyfully reunited on the stage of the new Tantalus...
...So...is that the good one? Oh, and if someone could PM me a synopsis of the other endings, I'd be much obliged, seeing as how I wouldn't have to play through the game again.

Yeah, I didn't see it either (I was stupid enough to combine the hammer to Tin Armor... But it was a good armor, though ;) ), but I've read it was about the Tantalus-gang.

If some one could just spoil it here? (meaning putting it in the spoiler-bars)

*wonders if it is worth going through the whole game again to get all the Coins and see the new ending*
Indeed, if the changes are only slight, is it worth seeing?

It's like playing the game
in under 12 hours
to get a special something or other for Steiner. What's the whole point? I mean, really, who's gonna try for that?

Not me.

In my opinion, FFIX wasn't such a great game. In some places, yeah, it was pretty cool. But to me, it's mostly just eye-candy.

Weeeelll, we all have our opinions, but I got really sucked at its fairy tale athmosphere. Yes, it was kinda easy, but it better for my mental health than to get stucked to MegaloManic SuperDuper Trance Mode Ultimate Boss. And the fighting system was cool, nothing too complicated, the weapons and summonings worked, you could actually find out some secrets by YOURSELF, without any walkthroughs (unlike FF8). The characters were funny and comfy... I didn't think it did any damage to Final Fantasy-title, on the contrary, actually.

But as I said, we all have our opinions. (though some of them might be stupider than others... :p)

Final Fantasy IX was a disappointment. Why? Well, it had a great battle system, cool characters and a wonderful visual design.

Unfortunately the story was horrible. And Kuja is perhaps the most unthreatening villain I've seen in my entire life. He wasn't nearly as intimidating as Sephiroth...not even as scary as Ultimecia...or however you spell her name. lol

The twist near the end of the game was interesting...but by that time, it was also predictable. I reiterate, four disks is WAY too long for a story. >.<;
IMO, it was a mistake for the story to take Garnet back to Alexandria when the Queen died. It seemed like a ending--but being on Disk 3 (if memory serves), I was puzzled. It was too soon to come back home for the "happily ever after" (so to speak) ending.
And Kuja just wasn't in the story enough to believably be the final boss. Or that one thing that was tacked on at the last moment ("Oh yeah, by the way, this is the Essence--you got to kick its butt to survive." Whatever.).

SPOILERS! You should know, Ginny, tut tut tut. -Break

I added the spoiler taggy. -Tasis

Guest Steiner
I think FF9 was the best of them all and i own all the games even 11 and kingdom hearts and i still thinks its the best of them all. the characters are so easy to relate to. I myself thought the story was about me except about terra and mages and stuff. but sometimes i do think my sister is a witch. But back to the subject i have fished it about 3 times and got the same ending every time and it goes for about 25 mins

FFIX ROKS

Kingdom Hearts isn't a Final Fantasy game, hence the title "Kingdom Hearts". And XI isn't even out yet. -Break

How threatening can you be in a purple thong? Lol, but really... I think he was just there for weird comic reasons...

Actually, it was the purple thong that made him threatening towards me. It really scared me. And that baby-face he has.. eek. -Break

Heh, you do have to do it
In under 12 hours to get Ex.II, but not Ex.1
And if you're bored in Disc 4, you can
finish the Stellazzio Sidequest and get all the things you need, plus the Blood Sword for Steiner, which restores his HP equal to the amount of damage he deals with it.
That is, if you know where your cities/kingdoms are... If you do, it only takes like, 10 min if you have
Hilda Garde 3 or Invincible airships.
I personally liked
the play at the end, though it went kinda quick...
But meh, it was a good game for those who love the medieval type games... but a rat carrying a partisan? That was kind of.... weird....

Don't let Break hear you dissing Freya ;) - Tasis

Of course it was weird! That's what made her even better! She wouldn't look right if she was just a normal, good looking human in that dress, now would she? FFIX was the weirdest for character ideas ^_^ -Break

Freya is the coolest character in the whole game. Dragoons kick ***, simple as that. - Desbreko

I thought you were all about White Mage's 'sko? - Tasis

I did and it was great, that was on my 3rd play through though.

Haha she's my strongest character with that High Jump and Dragon's Crest attacks...

To Ginny, Des, Break, and Tasis: I wasn't dissing Freya, I was just saying lol...

You called her wierd, and i knew it would set weh off, lol - Tasis

Lol yeah, it did.... *makes note not to call any rodents that carry a weapon 'weird'*

Don't worry about it. Just use the word "odd," instead of "weird," next time. ;) - Desbreko

She's so hot and appealing..*sigh* Dragoons are the best class in the whole Final Fantasy series. Period.

Umm, you can read the spoiler-bars just by highlighting them (meaning dragging your cursor through the text pressing the mouse-button at the same time)

You can find all that stuff you were asking from the various final fantasy-websites, just search "final fantasy 9" from for example Yahoo or Google. It's all there!

(And the weapon is Ragnarok, by the way. :p )

Yeah, it did have some very original charachters, and the story was great. I really liked that it took the game back to the classic settings of the first FF's by throwing it in a more medieval type setting and bringing back the Jobs system. Overall, the game was great, though it did have a tendency to get really tough really fast if you didn't level up.

I found it pretty much the opposite of that. IT was too easy, i never had to stop and level up. I wasn't too fond of FFIX.
