RPG Big Trouble in Little Caris

In a far off galaxy, perhaps in another dimension, there is Caris. Caris is a small, peaceful planet. On Caris, there are few humans, and many monsters. The humans and monsters lived in peace for years, decades, centuries even, until Makall appeared. Makall rallied the monsters against the humans. Then the Twelve appeared. This is their story. The story of how the Twelve fought for the sake of Caris with no thought of their own well-being. Be ready, for the Battle for Caris has begun. Big Trouble.

Tao-Zhou, warrior of Power, stood atop the small tavern, on the look out for monsters. Ever since Makall had surfaced, he had been waiting for an attack on this little village. It appears it has come.
A swarm of creatures rushed foreward. They were Devil Dragons, vicious black dragons that slashed at their foes with red claws. Nasty beasts. Tao prepeared to use his abitlity, but recosidered and instead drew his sword. It would be good practice.
Tao dashed towards the monsters and started slashing away with his sword.
"Damned beasts. To damn many of them."
He kept attacking as they rushed past. The mindless creatures were hell-bent on terroizing the city, and there were too many for Tao to stop.
Suddenly, a girl dressed entirely in black stepped up on a cliff above the village and held up a large staff.
Girl: Darkness envelope these beasts and destroy them.
The sapphire atop her staff glowed black and energy swirled around the Devil Dragons. The creatures started shrieking as the darkness spread throughout the area. Tao decided that getting away was a good idea. He dashed throught the ranks of reptilian beasts and jumped back onto the roof of the tavern. The darkness kept spreading and the monsters kept shrieking and roaring. Soon all the creature were enveloped in shadow. A few seconds later, the darkness faded. No creature remained.
