Boondock Saints

I just watched this movie the other night at a friend's house, and I really liked it. It was basically an action movie that had a whole lot of cussing and killing and stuff. Not really a gangsta' film, but there was a Grand Theft Auto feel to it.

Boondock Saints is a story of two Irish brothers in [Boston] who go around killing mob bosses and evil people like that. They join up with this other guy to do the killings half way through the movie, and you really have to decide whether their killing is justified. To them, they obviosuly think so, believing that God sent them to do it. They even say a prayer as they point the gun to the person's head, and when they shoot them, they leave pennies over their eyes. The penny thing is just a superstition that some religions go by where aparently it's for when they have to pay the toll for the afterlife or something.

I really reccommend this movie to everyone who likes action mob killing movies, and don't mind the good deal of cussing. ;)

Ive seen this flick.

Its got alot of good elements to it, and I love the relationship between the two bros.

I also really liked the non comercial feel of the film.

William defoe did an excellent job as that detective.

Overall, I really liked the movie.

It's Boston, not New York.

I've seen this movie, and (I'm sure NeoCactuar will agree with me) it's pretty bloody brilliant.

Here's the family prayer, from the movie, if memory serves me;

"And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command, we shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine patrie, et fili [they cock their guns] et spiritu sancti."

Good movie. I'd reccomend it to anyone who doesn't mind the violence/language.
