OOC:Okeydokey then here is my post. I know i should eidt my previous but meh.
--------------------------------------------------------
The Highwind had been hovering above the mountain range that seperated New Midgar from Juno. Cloud had been asleep in his quarters for about an hour when he suddenly snapped awake and realized that the ship wasn't moving. He walked out of his quarters an to the bridge.

Cloud: Why aren't we moving??

Cid: I don't think we should go to Cosmo Canyon, Areis says we should go to the city of the ancients.

Cloud looked over at her with a pissed off and puzzled look.

Cloud: Why do you want to go there?

Areis: I have no idea, it just feels like we should.

Cloud: Yeah, last time we went there you ended up getting impaled on Sephiroth's...

Aries: I KNOW DAMMIT!!! I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS BRUTALLY MURDERED!!! Just trust me on this.. I think we'll find an answer there as to why Sephiroth is back.

Cloud: Fine, but do not leave my side, no matter what. I will not let you get killed again. I won't..

Aries: I won't.

Cid: Okay then! Lets head to the City of the Ancients!

The Highwind turned to the North Contienent and shot off towards the city.

OOC: Well, I'll leave Seph to Raiha for now, and concentrate on the apparently forgotten Vincent.

IC: He watched as the Highwind flew over him. Windswept through his hair, and under his cloak was that strange half smile, bitter, resignedly sad. Vincent knew his place. More to the point, he had chosen it. Others would deal with the problems at hand. As always, he was left alone to grapple inner demons.

This time though, the demons weren't so internal. Chaos was with him again, watching the others fly away.

Chaos: They've abandoned and betrayed you. All of them. They gave you nothing.

Vincent sighed, but didn't turn away. They stood side by side, almost companionably.

Vincent: You are free. What more do you desire from me?

Chaos: I desire your acceptance. Your gratitude! The realisation that I did everything for you, when others left you lying in an icy coffin!

Vincent: Ah, it wasn't you that dragged me out of that blessed nightmare.

Chaos: But I kept you alive! I kept you whole. You couldn't have coped without me! You weren't prepared to deal with the real world.

Vincent: I've gotten by without you many, many times. And you only gain control when I allow you.

Chaos: Ah, but let us take a visit to the past. Let us see how true that was.

Vincent: Let's not, and say we did.

Chaos: Uncharacteristicly flippant of you,my old, old friend.

Vincent: Don't tempt me into a denial.

Chaos: You aren't willing to accept everything yet? No matter. We'll leave it to another time.

Vincent: There will be no other time. Tell me then, who are these friends you have visited on me?

The demon chuckled, and turned Vincent to face him.

Chaos: Ah, Oblivion. I would think him a fitting companion to you.

Vincent: And the other?

Chaos made a low rumbling sound, and looked uncomfortably.

Chaos: That one...was not of my devising. I wished not for his presence.

Vincent: Ah, the great Chaos, defeated a second time.

Chaos: A second time?

Vincent: Sephiroth refused you, didn't he?

Chaos: What!

Vincent: Ah, but's its so ironic. That much angst comes from one source with you. The desire to possess. And who better suited to it then the now known to be alive Sephiroth?

Chaos: So, you're more intelligent than you look. Do you know the rest of the sordid little details? That betrayal of one of the fools you surround yourself with?

Vincent: No actually. Care to enlighten me?

Chaos: Who else to tempt one such as Sephiroth than one such as her?

Vincent: Her...Lethe.

Chaos: Yes.

Vincent: She seemed the type.

Chaos: And you? What path will you now take?

Vincent: The path that rids me of you. And I think that in that regard, Sephiroth and I would be mutual allies...

Chaos threw his head back and laughed. Vincent said nothing, and the demon slowly quieted.

Vincent: At least, it would not be hard to get him to destroy you for me.

Having rid himself of his demons, Blaze felt awakened, free, and alive. He continued to battle the Gi, watching as Nanaki and the rest of Cosmo Canyon went about their daily lives. Nanaki, too, began his training with Blaze, both becoming steadily stronger. Blaze suddenly looked to the Golden Saucer in the distance, and Nanaki followed his gaze.

Nanaki:Why gaze over there?

Blaze:I feel.....something. The same thing I felt when I first saw the resurrected Sephiroth, then again when I saw Aeris....

Nanaki:But nobody died there, aside from.......

Blaze:What's wrong, Uncle Red?

Nanaki:It couldn't be Dyne......but if it is.......we have a powerful ally.

Blaze smiled and began preparations as Nanaki left the village in the care of his father, who, too, had been resurrected days before. Together, they set out for the Corel Mountains...

He stroked her pale eyes, and hair...then looked into her silver pupils, and nodded. She smiled and gazed back into his own insiduous green eyes. A psychic bond swiftly melted between them and the scar across her chest began to hurt.

Sephiroth: A promise.

Lethe: And if you break it?

Sephiroth: You may kill me. If you can.

Lethe: ....do not underestimate me. You did once, and if it happens again, I won't be as easy to catch.

Sephiroth: I always liked a challenge.

With a lazy motion, she pulled off her blouse, then her skirt.

Lethe: Then you're going to have a cursed long night of it.

In the desert prison, hours after his "awakening", Blaze rocked against a wall, grasping his head.

Nanaki:Blaze! What's wrong?

Blaze:I...I can...I can see Sephiroth.....he....and Lethe...DAMNIT SHINRA!

Nanaki:Why damn Shinra?

Blaze:They created Sephiroth from my blood infused into Jenova's womb, I sense that much. Other blood was used, but mine was the base. He is my brother....yet also me. He and I share a link between Ancient brothers, though, because of our mutual abidance in Jenova's womb.....

A man with a gun arm approached them, raising it high.

Dyne:So Shinra's back in business, and I'm sane and alive. I'll join you, if you fight Sephiroth. But you have to prove who you are. Needle Gun!

The attack hit Blaze square in the chest, forcing him backwards slightly. His anger level, pent up from the Ultima and Shard attack, burst.

Blaze:RUSHING BURNER!!!!

The repeated attacks hit Dyne hard, breaking his own limit, as well. He held his gun up, aiming right at Nanaki.

Dyne:Molotov Cocktail!

Nanaki took the explosive laser attack, blasting Dyne with a retaliative Fire2 spell. Dyne collapsed.

Dyne:Alright.....Ill join. Just as long as marlene is alright after all this....

"NO!!! STAY AWAY FROM HER!!! NOOOOO!!!!!" Cloud snapped awake, with a jolt he sat upright in his bed, he did a quick mental check, he was in the Highwind, nearing the North Continent, Areis was alive, as was the accursed Sephiroth.

Cloud: That dream, it was so real, it had to be a preminition...

Areis: Or a way to look into the past.

Cloud: What!? What are you doing in here??

Areis: Came to check on you. I heard you yelling in your sleep something about Sephiroth...Tell me, were dreaming about when he killed me??

Cloud: I think, it might be like what you said, a vision of the future. Whatever you do don't leave my side.

Areis: Okay! Yeesh! Get killed once for letting your guard down and...

Cloud stood up from his bed and walked over to Areis and scooped her up and hauled her over to the guest be he had in his quarters, he then dropped her down and sat next to her.

Cloud: I think its daylight by now.

Areis: Me too, let's open the blinds.

She stood up and headed for the blinds and opened them, Cloud had to shield his eyes for a few moments before they adjusted. As soon as they had adjusted Cloud looked out the window with Areis and saw below them, The City of The Ancients.

Cloud: We're finally here.

Areis:.......Yeah, we're finally here. I still don't know why though....

Cloud: Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Lethe laid back, Sephiroth's head resting on her chest. Their love had been long and painful....and she relished the agony. He stirred, placing both his bare arms around her waist. She shifted her position and let him taste the cool flesh of her stomach. It wasn't like she was in any position to move. Might as well enjoy the pleasure before the pain.

Sephiroth: Are you afraid of me?

Lethe: Should I?

Sephiroth: I could kill you now.

Lethe: I wouldn't mind. But pleasure before death.....right?

She leaned back and waited for him to respond.

Kief woke up in the uncomfortable heat of the usually cool Oriental Hotel bedroom. He lay there for several moments wondering why the room was so warm. It took him several more moments to realise that the although it was well past midnight, the room was unusually bright. And finally, it took yet another several moments for him to notice the choking smell of smoke and burning. He slowly got out of bed and dressed, walked over to the window, and witnessed the remains of the once great town of Wutai go down in flames. Then, he fully woke up, recovered his sences, and jumped with terror. He had to get out of this death trap! He grabbed all his valuables, being careful not to forget his book, and darted out of the hotel. He dodged blazing infernos, fleeing locals and tourists and falling debris. It wasn't until he was actually out of the town when he remembered Boy. The kid wouldn't be able to take care of himself, and besides, Kief needed a ride of the island. He hid his luggage behind a rock and ran back into the doomed locality.

Boy was standing by the Turtles Paradise Inn, looking mighty terrified. Kief started towards him, but his route became blocked by a fat man, temporaraly insane by the prospect of near death which faced him. The fat man wielded a long sword and swung it in the direction of Kief. As quick as a flash, Kief removed his pike from its scabbard, and in one swipe, removed the mans head from its resting place on his shoulders. Kief smiled with satisification, and admired his work, before grabbing Boy from the wreckage and fleeing the scene with him safely tucked under his arm.

Cloud now stood on the landing bridge of the Highwind as she descended down into the gully that housed the ancient city. Everyone was ready for anything. Aries was the first down the ladder, she insisted, she said she wanted to check it out. Cloud then followed, he stepped onto the first rung and then took his feet off and slid down the rest of the way. As soon as everyone was off the crew of the Highwind took back off into the sky, she was only hovering about 600 feet in the air. Cloud had his right hand firmly gripped on the handle, he had visted this place while Aries was dead and over the course of the year he realized that more and more monsters were appearing here, some in huge droves. The group proceeded on the road and to the all familar intersection.

Aries: Straight. No, Left. No wait, its straight.

Cloud: What's wrong??

Aries: Its like two voices are calling to me, one is saying go straight and the other says to go left.

Cloud: I think we should go straight.

The group procceeded straight and they entered the circling forest with a very still pond next to a house, Cloud stopped dead in his tracks. A flash back ensued, it was of him standing in waist high water and carrying Aries' body into it and then releasing her down into the clear icy depths.

Aries: I know, I just feel totally weird being here. But that voice, its eminating from that house...

Tifa: This could be a trap set by our wonderful littl silver haired friend.

Cloud: No, its not like him to lure us here, he'd prefer to hunt us down then kill us one by one, but since he knows we have the airship...

Cid: Shaddup!!! You trying to give away our only means of getting off this island???

Cloud: No, this is too perfect for him, he wants to toy with us. Don't worry, just yet, lets go.

Yuffie: I'll stand guard and watch for anything strange out here. Okay??

Cloud: Okay.

The rest of the group proceeded into the house, strangely the stairwell appeared again and everyone desecened. After they descended Cloud saw the pedastal and on it were a few little drops of blood. Just then something strange stepped out of the shadows.

Blaze grinned as he took the controls of a new plane, the plans left by Cid a long while ago. It was said to be able to reach speeds rivaling those required to travel through space. It was called the "Excelion". As Blaze revved the open-topped airship, Nanaki and Dyne manning gun turrets in the fuselage, he took in the scent of the air of Corel one last time before hitching the ship off.....right towards New Midgar.

Blaze:Let's kick this up!

Too soon did Blaze begin to hover over New midgar, prepared to jump down right into Sephiroth's office. He thought better of it, dropping down and beginning to strap his armor on. His fist closed around the gem given him by the healed body of a Gi Spector, and instantly his body, even his hair color, transformed.

Gem:Welcome, Dragoon, to your destiny....

Blaze:I will not fail.....

He turned the Excelion around, heading for the City of the Ancients. An onboard tracker showed the highwind to be in that country. It was time to assault Sephiroth, once and for all.

The figure of a girl appeared out of nowhere behind the group, Cloud turned around with his sword, the girl had a glazed over look in her eyes, her sliver hair seemed to play in a breeze that didn't exist. She was a ghost.

Cloud: Who is she???

Aeris: She's an ancient. She's one of the inhabitants that lived here.

Cloud: She looks so creepy, those eyes. Those are the bluest eyes i've ever seen.

Aeris: Don't worry, she's only a ghost.

The girl looked at them a little longer and then she disappeared in a brilliant flash. Yuffie came barrling down the stairs, she was panting like a mad man as she caught her breath.

Yuffie: Something is coming, it was huge and dark, i have no idea what it was but it was HUGE!!!

Cloud: Great, just what we.......

Just then a huge monster came stomping down the stairs, it was a behemoth. Everyone got their weapons and got ready for combat.

Blaze grinned as he saw Cloud and the others preparing to attack. He hefted the Muramasa, willing it to transform into a Gemspear. As it shifted, he looked at Nanaki, who grinned back, and Dyne, who was reattaching a Hellfire-gauge shotgun to his arm. All three jumped down from the Excelion as it landed, right in front of the behemoth.....

Nothing happened. Blaze shifted his spear to his back, walking up towards the giant shadow. It was no behemoth. It was another ancient, one that Blaze felt was familiar. The ghost looked up at him wistfully, extending her hand and touching Blaze's forehead....

Blaze:Gyaaa!

Cloud:Blaze?!?! Who is she?

Blaze:My....my sister....

The ancient vanished, leaving the party bathed in a mysterious light. Blaze stood, somewhat shakily, and looked towards New Midgar, over the sea. He hefted his spear again, twirling it ostsntatiously. He smiled grimly.

Blaze:Get in the Highwind or the Excelion, whichever you choose. I pilot the Excelion. We attack Sephiroth once and for all!

Cloud looked at Blaze with a look of seriousness in his eyes.

Cloud: We're not leaving.

Blaze: Wha??

Cloud: We still have some investigating to do, something has been calling Aeris here and we need to find out what. She heard two voices and one called us down here, the second was callings us in another direction. We're going to investigate the second place. Besides, we're not ready to face Sephiroth yet.

Blaze got a look of anger on his face as the rest of the group walked up the stairs and out of the building, after the exited the small area the turned down the other path and walked until they came into a small house, they quickly exited it and there before them was the small circular area that housed the water sphere (the one that you see the white materia fall from Aeris.)

Tifa: Well this looks familiar.

Aeris: We need to go into the sphere.

Barret: Why? What do we need to see this time??

Yuffie: Pipe down! We should do what she says.

The group walked into the sphere and Aeris stepped into the middle and then a bright light shot down around her, she started to float a few feet of the ground. Just then the water changed into a huge screen and there before them was Sephiroth standing on a podium making a speech to a massive army. Cloud's face grew in horror. Just then Aeris floated back down.

Tifa: You alright.

Aeris: I'm fine. Just a little weird feeling.

Cloud: We should go.

The group headed for the airships and took off for New Midgar. Cloud gritted his teeth as they shot off towards the city.

They were too late. Sephiroth's army had already procured a new materia for him from the dead blood and tears of Cetra bodies, the CET-materia. Even Sephiroth knew not what it would do, but he certainly didn't expect what happened when he used it. A huge, powerful cry arose from the dying soldiers below, the airships were torn to scrap, and the party was thrown to the ground before they could attempt to stop Sephiroth's mad bis for power. The entire city seemed to dissolve, the party being lurched forward through time and space. Somehow, the party was seperated completely during the warp, though they all landed in the same world....

Blaze awoke, alone, amidst three women constantly changing sheets and making sure the guest was alright. One of them noticed the awakened dragoon and yelped, running out of the room.

Woman:King Edgar! King Edgar! The young man has awakened! Sir Locke! Miss Celes!

Two more guests rose from the same bed, next to Blaze's. Somehow, Blaze recognized the silver-haired man, and it hit him.

Blaze and Locke:Christ, it's me!

Blaze sighed, shaking his head. A monarch appeared, dressed iin blue and green. He noticed the stranger's wandering gaze and smiled.

Edgar:I am King Edgar, monarch of Figaro, the newly resurrected kingdom! To your right are Celes, a knight like no other, and Sir Locke, a well-made thie- er.....treasure hunter.

Blaze noticed that Edgar changed his words instantly when Locke growled and drew out a glowing blue blade, the word "Atma" inscribed on the hilt. Blaze hit introductions.

Blaze:I am Blaze Feneris, dragoon and Cross Knight of the city of New Nibelheim on the Southern Continent of Ivalice. It is a pleasure to meet you all, but Figaro? I never knew such a kingdom existed.

Edgar:Nor I of New Nibelheim, but you come not from our time, I think. We saw, we Magi-Knights of the magicite, in our dreams the destruction of an entrie world, where an ivory-haired man summoned forth a huge monster that wrecked the entire planet, but also transported a party of resistors here with the man and a young woman. Many small balls of light were also seen, balls like this.

Edgar finished his tale and held out Blaze's magicite, whereas Blaze took the balls of magical matter and replaced them in his Gemspear. Suddenly, a man burst into the room, gasping for breath.

Man:Edgar! Thou know not what evils have transpired! The ivory-haired demon has revived the Empire!

Edgar:Cyan, you can't be telling the truth here! Kefka, Gestahl, all of them?!?!

Cyan:Yes! Somehow, he has shifted time on the Southern Continent to the point where everything is as it was before the world was torn apart! And I believe they plan on destroying the world yet again, though we have newly reformed it to it's old luster!

Locke:Great! Just great! Hm....this party of resistors we saw.....if we find your friends and bring you all back together.....and train you with some of our own techniques.......we might have an even better chance of winning this time. Okay!

Blaze:Do you people have chocobos?

The entire room seemed to cheer at the joke and all present began to prepare for a journey to Narshe.....

All Cloud could see was darkness, suddenly a light breeze woke him. He snapped awake outside and under a tree on a hill, he stood up and made sure his sword was still on his back, but Aeris was missing.

Cloud: Where is she? I know the Highwind was practically scrapped and i know Cid is gonna lose his mind cause his pride enjoyment has been destroyed, but where is Aeris?? And where the hell am I??? I know i'm not near Midgar. Sephiroth must have done something, maybe opened a rift and thrown us into another dimension...

Cloud headed down into the village that sat at the bottom of the hill. As he entered the village Cloud realized that this wasn't a regular village he had come to know, this was a like Midevil village, there weren't any cars or electricity or anything, and the big giveaway was the way people were dressed, nothing like the regular people where Cloud lived. This was very wrong. Cloud checked, he still had his Ultima Materia. He wondered how the Materia could make it into this dimension, but at this point he really didn't care, he slipped the materia back into his pocket and then started to look for Aeris.

In a stasis chamber......she waited. He had told her to stay until her energy had reached it's full strength...and she had no desire to disobey.

What fate awaited her...she had no strength to find. He had drained her and sealed off her stronger powers until she was "ready." To all appearances, she was the same, but in a fetal position....and covered by nothing.
