The Worst Fraud Ever...

Ok,

This story has been out for a little while now.

I caught it just now with the fox show "the pulse."

Its horrible what this family did.

The parents told their daughter that she had lukemia and was dying.

The got as much attention about it as possible and took all the charity they could get.

All in all they took an estimated 37,000.

But that isnt the bad part.

Its what they did to the child.

They had her going to "death charity" and were shaving her head.

They were giving her medication to knock her out and then when she woke they would tell her she went to the doctor for treatment while she was asleep.

They most likely have done amazing amounts of damage to this child and even worse is that they got caught and now its likely this child will lose her parents.

What do you guys think?

Personally, this story is making me sick and breaking my heart.

Same here, I think that if you are willing to make your child physically sick, just to get a quick buck, you shouldn't be parenting.

It makes me sick,

the evil of men...

Yeah, I saw it on the Pulse too. I first heard about it a while ago, and I thought it was really disqusting. How low can you be to tell your child that they are going to die? I think it's one of the worst forms of child abuse, even though it wouldn't come off as such, but I can't say that it's the worst fraud ever. It's a pretty bad one though, I'll tell you that.

Know what's really sad--people don't even have to be fake to get money from the public.

I read an article in the newspaper a few days ago about a woman who made a website asking for money. She apparentally had a major shopping spree, but couldn't pay, so she made a site asking for people to give money out of the kindness of their hearts. This lady was buying stuff like gucci bags, designer clothes, and the like, so it wasn't like she was poor. The odd part is, people actually gave. I can understand giving to the needy, but to a lady who can't control her Tommy Hillfigure (sp) urges? Please.

People are horrible, I cant belive they would do that to their daughter. How old is she? If shes really young, hopefully it wont mess with her psychalogically (gah,sp?) and she can forget it. Imagine telling a little girl she was dying....

Unfortunatly I believe she was old enough to remember.

At least 5 years old.

I also want to mention that when I said this was the worst fraud ever, I meant that in a different sense than what I think some are taking as.

I meant it in the sense that this was just one of the worst morally wrong crimes Ive heard about that had nothing to do with violence.

I mean, your own child. Its pretty darn horrible.

people will do just about anything for money. nothing surprises me anymore.

this place i moved from recently... this mother sends her 6 year old out to be a prositute.. & the girl has to give the mom the money. how's that for mother of the year?

but i see that kind of stuff so often, i can't do much about it, esp. where i live. most of the police & social services don't even care.

The down fall of man is his own greed.

Thats just sick. I can't believe people are that cruel. Well I guess I can but that girl is going to need help when she gets older. Nothing against her, but if her parents could do that to her no telling what they've already done to her.

Why would you do that to someone you love? They gave birth to her for christ's sake. Thats just sick.

I guess it doesn't suprise me that much. Humans today are controlled by money. I hate it, but thats life. I just know I'll NEVER do that to my child/children.

P.S: Nice to see you back Lady M
