vegeta rocker
This is a question i read years ago in a book of "would you". For those of you have never heard of those kinds it is basically a book of questions. Its a little diffrent though cause i forgot a bit. You get to save a life. Your choices are.... A baby who has just been born to a loving family. A teenager who tries so hard but flunks out of high school. A grandmother who has lots of Grandchildren and a huge family who loves her. Now Choose. I never could.
Zidargh
Though if this choice ever occurred it is a sad sad tale. To be honest I couldnt choose either, but if I had to then I would have to save the life of the bay. I would not want to leave the teenager or grandmother behind, but the baby is yet a seed to grow into a new life. Ah I dont know.
DeathKnight
The baby. Your chances are higher than the flunking teenager, and the Grandmother who will die soon from old age. Luck be with you, the baby would grow up to be a somewhat intelligent, succesful person. If he doesnt, you can be rest assured it was a better choice than the already failed-teen and the Grandmother.
KittyLynn
Well, I'm going opposite of you guys. I'm picking the teenager, because the grandmother has little time left, and well...I'd hate to admit this, but I absolutley hate babies. There is just something about them that I want to wring their neck.... Thats my choice I need to change my avatar, like when did I first have this one, like 80 hundred years ago..lol
SaiyanPrincessX
I agree with Zidane. The baby has a long life ahead, hopefully. Heres another question I heard once. If you could get 1 million dollars by taking a gun to your head would you do it? There are 10 guns, 2 of which are loaded. I wouldn't, definetly wouldn't... What if you did pick a loaded one? Your life would be over!
DeathKnight
I would. Chances are in your favor that you would get the gun that wasnt loaded. If you did get the gun that was loaded, and you died, then. Well. That would be it. Lol. A million dollars would be worth the obvious chance that you would die.
Sui Generis
For the first one I would pick: The Teenager. Just because he/she/it knows whats really going on. The grandma does but she is going to die soon anyways. The baby as much as I hate to say it doesn't really realize anything to a point. I think if the teenager died it would be more painful for he/she/it than the baby or the grandmother. For the second one I would pic: Yes Just as Ken said, the odds are in your favor. I mean if you die, would you really know you died. It would be a quick enough death. I'd do it
Fall
I'd rather live and have a chance of making a million in a job than jumping between life and death. o.O; And I can't think out of the first one. Most likely the teenager. Just seems more right to me.
Juu
I'm afraid I'd have to go with the baby... A baby has alot to live forward to. I mean, a grandmother would pass away soon... although the teenager issue is kind of hard to decide too. The baby still has a chance for a new life, while the teenager has already set his/her course for life... But then again, it would be easier for the parents to lose their new child, since they haven't had years of being with them in experiance yet... Although, if I could, I would want to save both of them. I think both of them have much to look forward to, while the grandmother would only have a few years anyway.
Lady Macaiodh
good god, how could any of you let a baby die?!?
Lady Asphyxia
I have to agree with Lady M. The teenager has already had the chance to screw up and have nothing, the Grandmother has already had everything, and the baby has had nothing. Thus; baby. As for the second question; Yes. Lets face it, money is good.
Delian
I would choose the baby without a second thought. It seems the grandmother has had a great life and nature will take its course eventually. If the teenager tried their hardest without a tutor, then they didn't try hard enough, and it will be their own choice...but a baby must be given the chance at life. It's not even a question! The Harlequin
I'd the baby, on the express condition it never came within earshot again... I'd do it. Hell, I'd play a good old game of Russian Roulette, regardless of money being involved. Don't know why.
Kent
Ya know, when I read this question and the responses here, I think about abortion...lol. I guess everything becomes politics to me. I would save the baby or the teen. Most likely the baby simply because so many of the people that are just younger than me are punks and I would rather save the life of a perfect little baby than the life of an ungrateful punk. As for the old woman, I would have to talk to her and see what she wanted to do, Im willing to bet that any woman worth saving would tell you to save the baby first. Any elder woman that said to save her before the baby wouldnt be worth saving in my book. As for the money for the game... I wouldnt do it. My life is worth more to me than anything. Hybrid
For the first one, I'd choose the Teenager. Whats to say that just because he/she droped out of high school that they won't go on and do well? they might become a big movie or rockstar, who knows? And how do you know that the baby wont drop out of school and do less than the teenager? I don't give a rats *** about the old woman, hell I'd kill her myself, I hate old people so much. I really hope I die before suffering the indecencey of trying to make it to the toilet on time. As for the second question, yeah, why not, the odds are in your favour, and if you were unlucky enough to pick one the the two loaded guns, you won't be alive long enough to regret it, at least I'll get to see what happends after death. Cora Jane 2
i dont know what i would do... but i think i would go with either the baby who has just been born to a loving family, or the teenager who tries so hard but flunks out of high school. i guess that is just me though. cuz if ya think about it, the grandmother has lived her life already, but the teenager is kind of a reject, and i would want to see them have a chance and succeed, or the baby who would have a chance to live a fulfilling life. tabmow
Based on the way the question is posed....... Heh Heh Heh (Evil Debate coach laugh) I would choose the teenager. 1) The baby and Grandmother both have loving families, it is more likly that a family member will save them 2) There are a lot of Teenages that don't fit well into the structure school cirriculem and are very succesful outside of school sometimes they just need a break. this is my opinion not knowing anything else out about the situation ..... is granny rich ????? any heirs ????? just kidding:D
bra
Quite frankly, I would have to choose the baby. The other two stand a chance, even if it is very slim, to get out of the way of danger if they really wanted to do so. The baby is so... I don't want to say, weak, but, helpless and it needs the help of another to get out safely. If I could save them all, I would, but I am only mortal so that would be the one that I would choose. Celia
I would hate to say this but... I think I would choose the baby. The baby would have a much longer life than any other one of them. And I agree with most of the other people that the grandmother would pass out anyways... but still, it's alive. It's really hard to choose.. Teenager, I think they can make up their mind, it's depending on them. Honest honestly, I wouldn't want to choose between any one of them.
nezzyjean
I'd save them all!!! c'mon...u could just knock out the bad guy and get the rest outta there!! Or u could pull some random stunt and save them all and run away...like... Me: ::knocks over something in the other room:: Bad guy: ::Runs in to go see what it is:: Me: ::sneaks into the room with the captives:: ::breaks window:: old lady: ::jumps out the window w/ a boost from the teenager:: Teenager: ::junps out window:: Me: ::grabs baby... tosses it to the teenager:: Bad Guy: ::comes back:: HEY!! WUT RU DOING!!! Me: EEEKK I'm gonna die!!! Bad Guy: ::shoots gun:: Me: ::dodge:: ::runs at the bad guy with a bat:: Bad Guy: X__X Me: ::jumps out the window:: ...hey...it could happen.... But if it were some case where a buildidng was on fire...I'd tell the teenager to help the grandma...and I'd carry the baby!! Or a plane crash...only 1 parachute... I could only carry 1 person...I'd give the parachute to the teenager and I'd tie the baby to the teen...the grandma is an old person anyway...she'd die of old age soon any way...but after that...I'd try to find a way to survive... Pretty much..I'd try to save them all..and I can't think of a situation where I couldn't do so... As for the million dollar thing...I would NEVER put my life on the line for money...no matter what the risk is...I'd only risk my life to save others....but money...how r ya'll so greedy... WHOA!!! I made a LOOOOONG post!!
future girl
well, it was really hard, but i posed the question more like this: my 6month old nephew who i can't stand to see cry one of the ramdon ppl from school who's crying all the time because of their sucky life or my 72y/o grandma who thinks i'm a satanist *sigh* it's gotta be the baby. how could i ever abandon something so helpless, and small. not because of what it has ahead, but because a baby is a baby and they just make me feel so damn guilty. as for the money, that's also a really hard question, but after carefully debating my economic situation, what the heck, sure i'd do it...but for more than a million dollars. Ravenstorture
I'm going to take it this way - people didn't live over the age of 72 in the year 1309, so the grandmother is dead in the first place. Babies had the highest mortality rate between the ages of 0 - 7 in 1309, so it will die anyway. And in 1309, there was no such thing as a teenager. You were a child, then you were an adult. God bless the year 1309.
Guest cloricus
1309, must of been a weird year. I think you need to make the decision on your own, people on a message board wont help you in the final choice. Eps - 2 POSTS!!!!
Pressure
I'm a cruel person, so bare that in mind. For the first question: I would save the life of the teenager. I hate children. There is nothing on this Earth that I hate, more than a child. Babies, absolutely drive me insane. I do not want them near me, by me, in my sight, in my life, at all, ever. I also, have a strong dislike for the elderly. They just annoy me because thousands upon thousands of dollars are spent to keep them alive, when in reality, as The Harlequin said, they were never meant to live that long. The human body, in nature, is lucky, if it reaches the age of 65. Naturally, we just don't live that long. I would not care if the grandmother died. I would not care if the child died. I would not care if the teenager died. I am numb to death. It does not bother me at all. But if I had to, the teenager would live. The second question:I would do it. If I chose a loaded gun, oh well, I've lived long enough. I also, would be dead, therefore, I wouldn't care. If I didn't hooray for me. Simple logic.
