Marron347
i just noticed something. you know how goku dies during the cell games right? well, don't you think it is kind of odd that goku didn't seek out his obviously missed grandfather Gohan? remember, in dragonball, it was shown that he got to keep his body and everything. so why do you think goku didn't go to see him? SS5 Gogeta
Probably because Goku spent all his time training on Kai's planet while Gohan went to check out all the girls. He also mentioned about the pretty girls in DB.
Kent
I think this is the perfect example of an oversight by the producers of the series. Its most likely that they had so many things they wanted to get into the dbz sagas that they just neglected to remember the "promises" of the past. This really is one of those perfect examples of what can happen with a series that spans such a long time. 291 dbz episodes in combination with however many db episodes makes for a hard time keeping to every little indicated future adventure. This is nothing more than a small mistake. They just left him out. Plus, they probably didnt have much place for him with all of the new levels that everyone was at. Master Roshi was most likely enough to fill the gap for an "old man" role.
JCBaggee
Let's keep in mind that Goku spent time sightseeing with King Kai, then participated in the Other World Tournament. That occupied the seven years in which he was dead on Earth and Gohan grew to maturity (remember? the time is different in the Other World), so he never had the chance. If you'd left Goku up there without the Grand Kai, the Tournament, or the promise of a temporary return to Earth, I'm sure he would have eventually sought out Grandpa Gohan. --Chris
Marron347
i guess you're right, but if it was me, seeking out my dead relatives would be the first thing on my mind when i got there, not sight seeing or tournaments.
SSJ Gotenks ok
Well it wasn't up to goku it was up to the writers!:D
obi-wan kenobi
That is a good question and I am not sure why but I thought of this once before when goku was killed the first time by who was it again? Raditz, I think (I cant remember it very well) And all these years later I still have no answer
silentdeath
it is a very interesting question isn't it. by the way goku held onto raditz's tail while piccolo firedhis special beam cannon through both of them. i believe that due to the emense pressure put on him(saving the world) he didn't have time.maybe he wasn't emotionally stable enough to his long lost trainer.who knows? JCBaggee
Emotional stability has nothing to do with it during the Saiya-Jin Saga. Vegeta and Nappa were coming in one year, and he already wasted several months running down the Snake-Way Path. Goku, known for being determined and willing to sacrifice his own desires for others, probably didn't even allow himself to consider hunting down Grandpa Gohan, because he knew it would distract him from his ultimate goal of saving Earth. --Chris
Guest ryo
I agree with JC totally, thats exactly what i was thinking, goku is a go to guy so he really(^_^) will put his feelings aside for others, but good points from everybody, as mentioned earlier, it really is not possible to keep up with every little detail, even the preos make mistakes =P
