Well I was talking to a guy in Israel, and for some reason we got on to the subject of Iraq. He said some thing odd along the lines of "This damn war on Iraq is bad for us all" and it was odd because it was present tense.

So I asked him about it and he was shocked that I didn't know that America was already bombing major targets and has sent in some troops.

I wasn't to willing to believe him but tonight he showed me the news links.

That one is reasonable comprehensive, I have the feeling that cnn would also have something?

So why is America still waiting for permission to go in when they have started?
And what more are they doing in secret?

[Not a flame just an informative note]

Two points.

1) Your topic is a little bit misleading. The bombings discussed here relate to enforcements of the UN-mandated no-fly-zones. These zones have been continually targeted for nearly a decade. So, this is nothing new or different; perhaps simply more of an intensified enforcement to put more pressure on Saddam. Let's try to limit the conspiracy theories as much as possible, and actually gain some perspective (particularly on this question that you raised).

2) I'm not going to say it again; we already have a thread to discuss the war on Iraq issue. I strongly recommend that all future comments about the situation be issued here:

If another thread about Iraq is created, I'll be responding without any warning.

Please feel free to discuss all aspects in the thread linked above.
