This movie kicks so much [butt].

I bought the DVD with Parts 1 & 2, and after watching it, I found it to have potential, but it wasn't quite there yet.

So, anyway... a few months pass, and last week I finally bought the "Movie Edition," as I had read somewhere that it was just like Gundam-W Endless Waltz Movie and OAVs: similar, but different.

I noticed as soon as the movie started, that it was quite different than the first two parts I saw. For one, it was shorter, and scenes were changed, even though the story was kept intact.

Well, by the second half of the movie, my jaw had dropped. Near the end, I almost cried in shock, amazement and pain. Do yourself a favor and check Macross Plus out.

Meanwhile, I'll look for Parts 3 & 4, since the episodes seem to be more detailed than the movie.

Ahh yes, the macross plus series.

A really good series, especially for a 4 episode sort of thing.

I really feel in love with mp after the first scene of the first episode.

Which, by the way, was cut from the movie and a true mistake by the producers since that just happens to be one of the best scenes in the series.

I thought that the animation was really good, but the varitechs were designed really well. Especially the yf-21.

The way it was able to shift its shapes was awesome.

I would say that this series is good for any anime fan that hasnt seen it and even better for any macross fan that hasnt seen it.

Hey, I liked Macross Plus. I especially liked Sharon Apple and the whole concept of her not being a real human. I loved the way she just floated through the audience, almost like a ghost...and how she could just change her appearance and everything...it was really neat.

The story was so sweet....I am a sucker for romance, and so that one got an "A" in my book. ^_^

I loved Macross Plus. The first two episodes were slow, in my opinion, but I stuck with it and was pleasantly surprised. ^_^

I really liked both the series and the film. I don't think you can watch one or the other- they both show different bits of the story, all of which are important.

I think the plot was really well-developed. I had no idea where it was going at first, but it all came together in the end... although I prefer bits of the movie version to the series ending. The very very last bit in particular.

I've never seen any other Macross episodes or serii (pl. series), but I still enjoyed it. Anything with romance and transforming planes is good ^_^
