But things fell apart when she started acting stupid. There is another girl that I would like to buy/do something for her. Only problem is, she is interested in one of my friends. It's kind of hard to tell someone how you feel, when you know that they feel for another person. Anyway I probably won't celebrate it really. Just another holiday, nothing that special. It's one of those things that just isn't as important as Christmas or Easter or things like that. But outside of giving away cards and such, I don't do much. Where every v day, everybody had to give cards to everyone, where we had a party, where we ate cookies..... where we were prepubescent and didn't see the oppisite sex in a "certain way", where we could be friends and call girls gross and stupid (ok, so I still do some of that), where v day was just ........ harmless..... Now its disgusting to be alone (I kind of like being alone though) and seeing guys and girls make out in the hall, giving candy and flowers, and ballons...... I think they look stupid, but I want it though..... but more private and romantic, not going out and sex'n it, just to break up and get another girl. If only I had the one for me...... I did meet a girl in my math class the other day and she has the most amazing green eyes. I had never seen a set of honest green eyes until that day, and now all I can think of is how am I gonna get this girl to talk with me? Im gonna do what I would suggest to everyone else on the boards that came up with the same problem. Be myself and be open. Im gonna ask her questions I want to know the answers to, and Im gonna tell her what I feel. I hope things work out, but if they dont, then I will just have to move on. V-Day pretty much gets ignored at Union I-High. Yeah, we got our gooey couples, but no one really likes V-Day anymore. Gets kinda boring, ya know? Of course, I am a year or 3 younger, but I can still go to the bars (meaning Im over 21) so age shouldnt matter too much. Thing is, we are probably a million miles apart, and that doesnt even begin to address the idea of you accepting that offered date. Either way, I ask all of you lonely ladies to be my valentine. I wasn't expecting to get anything since I wasn't going out with anybody, but coming in after lunch I found a card he had made and a chocolate rose on my desk. it was a 'from a friend to a friend'-type deal; proof that not everybody who gives someone something on Valentine's Day is out to get laid. :p I actually like Valentine's Day for the most part. I think of it as a nice, convenient excuse to tell the person you like that you care about him/her, especially if the person in question doesn't know about it. sometimes it just being Valentine's Day gives people more courage to say something rather than if it was just a regular weekday. makes me feel all squishy inside seeing my friends getting and giving stuff to their crush/boyfriend/girlfriend, whichever the case may be. 'course, it's better if you actually have someone to spend Valentine's Day with than if you didn't *cough* >.>' , but I don't mind as much as I used to, even if I do get jealousy pricks every now and again. I'm thinkin' this year I'm gonna buy a couple bags of chocolate and throw candy at people all day. certainly wouldn't hurt anything (except for an occasional eye or nose *harhar*), and us people not getting anything would get our chocolate after all. better than moping about all day writing down names of ppl who got stuff so they can go on your hit list..........*gets ideas*.......no! no getting ideas *smacks self*! eh, anywho, V-Day can turn out as decent as you want it to if you're willing to give up the 'poor me who's not getting anything' attitude. speakin' from experience. I'll maybe give a few people small gifts like a balloon, maybe I'll be given some candy. However, I made something different this year. A friend and I decided to make Flame Poems, dedicated to a certain person we disliked. They aren't really cruel, and will probably earn laughs. We planted them today on the school's "V-Day" Message Boards. I'll tell you all what happens with them tomorrow (unless they are taken out). I've only got one card this year to send to an ex out of respect because we're still really good friends!
