Juu
Um, Draagul, the people who were 'listed' were the people who made it in the rpg. Please don't reply again to this. -------- Violent images rushed through her head. Shrieks and moans echoed through her mind like a phobia haunting her at each breath. Her heart raced, and her eyes widened. Celestine broke into a cold sweat as she lay on the table, shivering. Her fists clenched, so her nails began to dig into her palms. She screamed, and crawled off the table. All of a sudden, she felt a surge of hunger. It occured to her then, she hadn't eaten for days... no, weeks. Celestine crawled to the counter, and laid down on the white marble floor, clawing at the counter. The cold and hunger was driving her crazy... "Just a little longer..." She told herself under her breath, picking out a small shot from the discarded box. She crawled next to the door, and waited, eyes flashing with anger and anxiety. She kept the shot close, as the shadow of one of the assistant doctors approached the door. By this time, most of the doctors were upstairs, with the more advanced test subjects. This was her chance to escape.
DeathKnight
Vormir: Two more doctors to go... and this program enters its more advanced stage of testing. No need for dead weight. His gun went off for the third time, blood splattering on the wall behind the third doctor, coating it in a heavy layer, dribbleing slowly with a mix of flesh and skull. Silently, he departed and rushed down the hall, his trenchcoat flairing around him with his sudden burst of speed. The broken television still played the sound- A low, breathy laugh. The sound of the fourth door opening, the gunshot. The TV's power shorted out, and the broadcast ended as Vormir loaded his gun and briskly walked to a small console in the hallway, the Hangar above him significantly quieter than usual. ---- ::Command System Override Terminal ::Command: DoorLock_A through DoorLock_A32 to Open ::Command Status: Ok. ::Command: DoorLock_B through DoorLock_B65 to Open ::Command Status: Pending... Ok. ::Command: DoorLock_C through DoorLock_C32 to Open ::Command Status: Ok. --- He logged off the console and rushed up the stairs, knowing that the head of secruity would realize what had happened shortly. All the specimen's doors were now unlocked, without any knowledge being told to the guards. Each could now easily escape, and Vormir smiled as he opened the door to the hangar and ran to a military-class helicopter, starting the engine. The helicopter exited the hangar and disappeared from veiw, advanced cloaking technology proving overly useful. Vormir: Now.. to watch the original three escapees... And the rest of them. His goggles flashed online, showing the red blip still in the hotel. The speed of the chopper increased as the engines began to roar a bit louder. Vormir reached down and flipped a switch, engageing "Silent Mode", the sound from the engine dieing down to nearly nothing. Several other red blips, concentrated all back to where the lab was, appeared on his goggles as he pushed a small button on the side.. He felt almost guilty for what he had done to the lesser minds that had helped him in his project with genetics- Almost. But it was needed to succesfully close the chapter on the old phase of Beta testing on the individual specimens, and now was the time for all of them to escape and find out if they could each war with the reality of the outside world with their special DNA remapping. Vormir: That reminds me.. Vormir glanced back quickly, and nodded satisfied- A large lab was set up in the back half of the chopper, the same kind of lap that could remap genes if need be. He could still find new subjects if he wanted.. He could even become his own greatest creation. The possibilities were endless... Vormir: For now.......... I watch my little Rena........... and the mean old Medra.... and the lustfully wonderous Shalistrae....... And see how they do... He approached a building near the hotel, an abandoned skyscraper, and placed the cloaked chopper down ontop of it- his googles zooming in on their room's window. Heavy Curtains. He should have known. Silently, he walked out of the chopper, and walked to the edge of the helipad, a brisk wind sending his trenchcoat amuck. Silently, he brushed his hair back and took his googles off, placeing his sunglasses on in their place. His cellphone rang, and he grabbed for it, looking on the LCD screen to see who it was. Vormir: Hello? Ah. Yes. Gorskov. All went well with my plan, and it seems that everything went well with your end too. The chopper delivery was succesful, and I was highly satisfied with it. I do hope you will accept my next business proposal.. I'll send the scematics for it as soon as possible. Oh? Its nothing big this time, just a basic car, with a few modifications for stalking and such nonsense as that. Oh yes, your payement for the chopper.. The chemicals are on their way as we speak, use them 'well'.. Heh heh. Gorskov, you are a miracle worker. I'll talk to you later. He closed the cellphone silently, and placed it in his pocket. He knew that this was his most grand attempt at an experiment yet, and that it was all unfolding perfectly- Now, they could never return to the Hellish cells. The building itself wouldnt be there within 2 weeks, if all the specimens evacuated themselves. As soon as there were none of his creations... No more building. For now, he needed a change of wardrobe.. Something darker, to offset this silly bright outfit he had been wearing in the depths of the compound. He needed to go to his personal labratory that lay within the depths of the City's residential districts, hidden beneath a mansion owned by a "Harry Bernard". Vormir: I think I, Mr Bernard, Need to check on my large residency... Vormir turned, and walked to the chopper, the low hum of the engines overtakeing any sort of background noise as he headed away from the hotel..
Yoda
Logan had been staring at the door for hours, and suddenly, he felt the electronic configuration alter... his door had been unlocked. A slightly confused look broke across his frail face, and slowly, he raised his weak limb, and pressed his bony fingers against the door. He gave it a slight nudge, and it opened slightly, and silently. Was this a trap? Logan pushed harder this time, and to his own surprise of strength, the door swung open almost fully. The two guards that had been placed to watch his stared in complete astonishment. They raised their weapons, but suddenly, they felt the ambient air begin to intensify. With a slight focus from Logan, the pressure in the air surrounding the guards torked into an inferno, as their skin and muscle was ripped from them, disintegrating as it was forced upwards into welcoming Nitrogen. Within moments, they were both but a few ashes, and Logan took to all fours, finding he was more comfortable that way, with his spine being bent the way it was. Unsure if he was strong enough even to run, he used his mind to move his limbs, pushing him into a cat-like sprint... he was moving at 50mph atleast. Every door he met was hit with such psychic energy that it ripped apart from inside, with the proportionate force of a nuclear blast. As he moved from the pit of suffering, he could feel the air become sweeter, more fresh. His lungs welcomed it, and more the first time in many years, his heart rate increased slightly, as precious oxygen started to meet haemoglibin, and every cell felt the slightest twinge of strength. Within minutes he was out of the complex, any and all resistance, man or otherwise, were destroyed utterly, beyong recognition. He broke into a run again, knuckles making the lightest mark in the ground as he sprinted along, though he could easily have flown... levitation was one of his more developed traits. He didn't know where he was going, but strangely, he knew he was heading in the right direction. "We can sense them... they are like us." "No, they aren't like you, you are incredible..." "They are altered, like us! They are tortured, we were too, our toture created you, we hatesss you!" "Do you really think yu can compete with me?" "Shut up!" "What?!" "SHUT UP! We won't listen any more, not to you, we want our mind back. The girls, in the city, they hurt, they are in fear. They are like us... and the man." "The man will consider you a threat... he will try to kill you." "No... we are like him... he has suffered, he hasss." "Fine, them go to them, and see how you are rewarded." "We are sick of you, trying to control us, stinking, vile, you are a plgaue to us! I will help those, and do something good for them... before you drive us to death." Again, Logan broke into a sprint, heading for the town, focusing solely on one thing, the mental projections of one tortured soul, the one known as... Rena.
Jedah
*A buzzing noise echoed through his room...the signal of his door unlocking awoke the young man asleep inside. Was this a godsend? Donovan Bison did eventually plan on attempting to break out...yet now it seemed someone did the work for him. He sat up in his bed, and pulled his beanie over his eyes. Loud footsteps came crashing down the hallway, and to his door. Three guards held there firearms tightly against their chest, as they neared Donovan's room. Sure enough, the electronic lock on the door was dis-engaged. The head guard looked into the small viewing window on the door into the room, with the subject inside nowhere to be located. As he slowly reached for the handle, a burst of gale force crashed into the door from inside the room, ripping it from the hinges. The steel door burst forward, slamming into the guard and carrying him across the hall into a cement wall. The other guards looked on as their mouths vaulted. Donovan was standing in the doorway, fists clenched at his sides... The guard's opened fire immediately, as Donovan leaped forward. He grabbed one of the paniced guard's by the sides of his head, wrapping his fingers underneath his chin. He pulled himself upward, performing a handstand on the guard's skull. Donovan suddenly twisted, spinning the guard's head completely 360 degrees, breaking every bone in his neck. The young altered boy then let himself go, falling behind the dead guard, his feet linear with the guard's back. Donovan thurst his legs forward, propelling them into the spine of the dead man, thrusting him forward with tremendous force into the other guard knocking him unconscious. Donovan was on the 8th floor of the complex. He had no time to waste, and needed to escape as soon as possible, before more guard's arrived. He suddenly burst off in a sprint down the hallway, a single window at the end. Leaping through the air, he burst through the glass, swan diving down 8 floors. As he neared the ground, Donovan performed a finesse forward ninja flip, landing softly on his feet. It was Shalistrae....it had to be. Ever since Donovan had seen her, he wanted her. Now that the facility was being over-run, he knew she had to have escaped. He hoped, and wondered about Shalistrae. Donovan once again burst in sprinting fashion toward's a small town he had heard some guards talking about. It was the closest form of real food and rest....*
Raiha
Rena's pale eyes flickered and she walked to the shattered window. The glass cut into her face, but she didn't care. Shalistrae set the furniture back into place and calmly began to fold the sheets and turn over the comforters. Medra walked over and placed his hands on her shoulders. Medra: Are you afraid? Shalistrae: Not for myself. I am afraid for Rena. She has a power none of us can ever hope to tap into. And that is why she is strangled into her small paused self. Medra: You know? Shalistrae: We whispered our stories yesterday night......and we cried, and we decided to let it be. Medra: .....Vormir will die. She turned and looked at him quietly.....then she put her arms around him and burried her face in his chest. She wanted him to die.....but it seemed so difficult. He was close to untouchable.....and always had an answer or a way out. Medra touched her back, and felt something. He turned her around and touchd it again. She sucked in her breath, and gritted her teeth. Medra: Something's in here. Shalistrae: ...rip it out. I could care less about the pain. With a swift motion, she pulled off her shirt and held up a knife. Medra looked closer....then saw it. In one swift movement, he flicked out the implant, and it clattered onto the floor. Shalistrae grimaced and Medra pressed his hand to the wound. She growled through her teeth, and waited. Rena: .....something is coming. Medra: Is it Altered? Rena: Yes. He is very tired. I can feel him nearing. Shalistrae: Call to him
Jedah
*As the entrance to the town became clear, Donovan leaped into the air. Landing silently on the roof of one of the near buildings, he warily sat in a crouching stance, surveying the scene. The town was small, it wouldn't be very difficult to find any Altered in this area. The cold air was null against him, but his fatigue began to set in slightly, he was becoming tired. For some reason still unknown to Donovan, he became stronger, faster, and more agile at night. The sun damaged him mentally and physically after a period of time. As he leapt from building to building, he was struck with something. He heard a voice in the back of his mind. A female...not Shalistrae, but the younger girl he had seen at the facility. The one named Rena. Somehow, she was calling to him mentally. Donovan was un-sure of how to answer the girl, but he could sense the location of the voice's source... He leapt to the street below, landing in front of a small motel. He walked up to the door, and calmly reached for the knob.*
Raiha
Rena: ...come. The doors opened, and Donovan entered. The first thing he saw was the shattered window, then the simple looking girl....holding a purple scarf in her hands, hair flying around her face. She looked up and smiled. Rena: Welcome. Donovan: Are you the one who called me? Shalistrae: I told her to. Blood and all, Shalistrae entered the room and smiled to Donovan. Medra followed close behind, holding the implant in his fist. Shalistrae motioned for them to sit. Shalistrae: Why did you come? Donovan: To escape the sun. And to find the one who was calling me. I ...also wanted to see you. Rena: ....why do you want to see Shalistrae? Shalistrae: Do I have something you want? Donovan: No. It's not that. Medra: This isn't a safe place to hide. Vormir knows we're here. Thanks to this. Rena smiled and put the scarf around her waist.
DeathKnight
Silently, Vormir descended through the hallway of his mansion, walking calmly to a closet door and typing into a keypad that didnt seem to be there. A few idle clicks eminated from the wall, and a beep of conformation. Vormir opened the closet door and stepped inside, shutting it behind him. He stood in the dark for a few seconds, amongst the different clothes, and waited. Another small conformation beep, and he turned around, opening the same door he had used to come back in. Swinging it open, he was in a somewhat 'massive' labratory, various machines whirring as he stepped inside. Vormir: ... Its messy in here. He picked up various papers that were sitting on a main desk in the center of the complex, glanceing over them idlely, nodding at intervals to his notes. A flip of the page, and he was back to nodding, a few grunted mental notes later, he was standing back inside the closet, his eyes closed with the strain of fatigue, as the elevator ascended back up twards the surface. He opened the door quietly, and walked twards his bathroom, a lazy step in his pace. * splash, splash * Vormir stared up into the mirror, grabbing a nearby towel. He rubbed his face dry, and silently looked down as his small indoor Shih-Tzu came pranceing in, wagging its tail. Vormir glowered down at the dog, and grinned slightly, reaching down and petting it a few times. The dog seems satisfyed with that, and pranced off to play with some of it's toys. Vormir idlely walked into his bedroom, and stripped all his clothes off, walking quietly back into the bathroom. He stepped into the shower, and closed his eyes as a hot stream of water hit his weary body, cleanseing his soul as well as his body as it did. Steam began to rise up in the small shower, and Vormir leaned against the wall, various thoughts drifting through his mind.
Chaos
Medra: "Then the only question left is...why are you here?" Donovan: "I... Shalistrae.. That is, uh." Rena: "You want her." Donovan: "Well, uh...yes." Medra: "Ever stop to think about if Shalistrae wants you? Or were you just going to rape her?" Donovan: "No, it's not like that." Medra: "Then I hope that sweat that's coming down your face is just embarrassment, otherwise you'll find your face broken in seven ways." That was it. That was the spark. Donovan took that as a challenge, and lashed out with his mind. Medra simply skidded backwards, sawdust kicking up from the friction between his shoes and the floor. Donovan looked remotely shocked, as his push did little more than piss off Medra. Hitting the huge man again, Donovan had his foe in the corner, and slightly, ever so slightly, bruised on the chest. It was at this point that the room became significantly brighter, and Donovan was thrown backwards onto the couch-bed, and there he looked as if he was just now getting off of a bad acid trip. The others that could still stand looked back, to see Rena, floating in midair, hair whipping like angry snakes, and her eyes a very bright silver. Medra: "Political correctness can kiss my ***; holy ****." Raiha
Rena had not felt angry in such a long time...she had almost forgotten about her latent powers. Jedah
OOC: hmm....I dont thorougly appreciate the fact that my character was suddenly made an *******, and is now kicked out of the motel. Medra...it's cool if you want to create dialogue for my character, but please don't perform actions. And Donovan is not the type who would have simply said..."uh...yes" to the question of his wants of Shalistrae. Also, there was no specific reason enough for me to attack your character. IC: *Donovan crept to the back of the motel, his neck hurt somewhat, but it was the bizarre ambush that angered him more. He had wanted nothing more then to see Shalistrae and to seek shelter. Obviously, his message was portrayed as violent. The young man sat on the steps to the back entrance of the motel, and slowly took off his beanie cap. His eyes burned terribly as he opened them. His pupils were gone...his eyes resembled eggs, pure white...no veins, pupils, or abstract colors. Just pearl white. Donovan was blind. He had accepted that factor long ago...it enabled him to heighten his other senses, and focus on the movement of things around him. The change of flow in the air, he could pick it up instantly. He recognized people from their smell, and the mass they took up in the room. He mastered many styles of Kung Fu, enhancing his sense of surroundings and focus tremendously. Alas, he would never TRULY see a persons face..not even his own. The sun burned his eyes terribly, since the glands to form tears were non-existant, they dried easily, the pain excruciating. He needed to escape it. Donovan hated un-necessary violence, so forcing his way into the motel wasn't an option yet. He hoped Shalistrae may of noticed his terrible condition in the sun, and would open the door for him momentarily...*

Hey, Michael, baby, don't look at me like that. I could feel the wet, freshly cut grass underneath my feet, taste spring on tip of my tongue and feel the blue of the sky on my back. During baseball season, I wanted to be the next, Dave Winfield or Craig Reynolds. Man, I can still remember lying back in my bed, hearing the crack of Louisville sluggers tearing the stitching off dirt-brushed baseballs, outside my bedroom window. After surviving the long, lonely winters, I dreamt about taking a pass from Joe Montana, tearing up the turf with the 49ers. I was young, but I knew my sports. I loved sports. I guess--we love most what we can never have. I know I loved my family, but I loved them the most during the first few days I lost them. I remember the little crawl space in our attic. It was my escape. I would spend hours in that little place. No one could touch me. I felt..safe. Boy, was I mad when dad boarded it up. That's the day I told him that I hated him. The next day my life was over. I died on that day. It's where my memory ends, and my hell begins. I don't even exist anymore. "Wir bildeten Sie. Wir gaben Ihnen alles. Sie waren nichts. Raiha
It was a suggestion! Geez....tempermental people here. ~~~~~~~~~~ Rena sighed with resentment, but knew Shalistrae was right. The more she lost her temper, the less likely she was to break free from her paused form. She started a bath, and consequently got in....and relaxed. Oblivious to Rena's temperment, Shalistrae folded the blankets, and swept away the shattered glass. Medra put his hands on hers. Medra: Are you worried about her? Shalistrae: ....no. She's smarter than most think. I'm sorry we're being a burden to you. Medra: No, it's alright! Chaos
As the pot began to whistle, Medra turned off the lights, and the stove. Shalistrae looked questioningly his way, as did Rena. They looks only got a finger to the lips, and a whispered 'shhh'. They complied, and went into the front room, away from the windows. Medra looked out through one of the curtains briefly, before turning back to them, as if he was looking for something, and not at them. Shalistrae: "What is it?" It was at that moment when a man, dressed in black, burst through the very window Medra was looking out of. He was in combat gear, and his MP5, which in hand, fired wildly, missing them all by a few inches. He severed the cable that was attached to his belt, and rolled forward. He raised his gun to fire again, only to have his arm twisted around his back. Medra turned him to the window, and kicked hard, right in the middle of his back. The man in black screamed as he plummeted, and landed face-first on a fire hydrant. That wasn't a pretty sight, and Medra scowled when he saw it. He saw the cable suddenly jerk up, and started to ascend. That was when he saw the Nighthawk, climbing in the air. Medra made a split second decision, and grabbed the cable. He jumped out the window, much against Shalistrae and Rena's liking; their screams of resistance confirming that. With proper timing, Medra landed roughly on the roof of a nearby building, cable in hand, with his feet grinding the gravel top. He pulled with all his might, and watched in joy as the chopper fell down the street, by the corner. It exploded furiously, as Medra was seen sliding down the drain pole on the side that faced the hotel. Several minutes later, he barged into the room again, ripping the locked door off of it's hinges. He looked squarely at the two girls, and motioned for them to leave. Medra: "C'mon. DeathKnight
It began to rain slowly on the rich side of town, dark clouds rolling overhead as Vormir stepped outside dressed in a completely black outfit- Matching sunglasses placed over his eyes with care. Whatever gadgets he had were firmly hidden underneath another flowing trenchcoat, of the same color as the rest of his outfit. He reached to the side and grabbed a cane, placeing it firmly on the ground, a large crystal topping the cane. He smiled slyly to himself, as he walked out of the mansion, walking calmly around the front of the estate into the garage. The sound of an engine coming to life echoed outward, a motorcycle slowly rolling out a moment later to accompany it. Glanceing down, Vormir flipped a switch on- A red blip appearing on a moderately sized screen. He had heard of the helicopter crash on the news, and knew immediately he needed to check it out. He reved the engine a few times, flicking his trenchcoat back before leaning down. With a sudden rev, he sped off down the street, eyes narrowing on the map that was appearing on the sunglasses' own HUD. The motorcycle sped down the streets at a definate law-breaking speed, his confusion as to who or what had caused Medra's counter-attack rising slowly.
The Harlequin
OOC: Gods, I blink once and I miss 50 odd posts and several disemboweling threats. Damn... IC: Rali awoke in darkness. It didn't faze him. Darkness, every day, for what little memory he had left, was standard fare. He tried to rise and, as always, was restrained from doing so. He coughed, and shuddered. They coursed through his veins, tore him apart. He could feel the muscles shifting under his skin, stretched as it was, it wasn't hard. The muscles slowly started to tear, and his breath came out in a long drawn out hiss. The pain was no longer a knew thing, but each time, the sensation was different. He prayed that this day would be the day his heart would be the muscles that exploded in an internal fountain of blood and gore. Oh, he didn't mind the pain. It was all he had left. But the lack of freedom was something he would never abide. He was denied release. His agony continued, and he used it as the only thing that marked him as still alive. As always, it subsided slowly, jumping up again every now and again in sharp waves. When at last it was gone, and he floated in the void of nothingness that was his life in this darkness, he tried to watch the ceiling, but he wasn't sure if there was one. Not yet. It was too soon. Time passed. More time than he was used to. Everday, the routine had not varied. The rectangle of light appeared, and forms entered, and it started again. Five times a day, without variation. But today seemed different. Nothing had happened for a long time. Then...at last. The light. The forms. But there was only one? What was happening... Rali fought down the idea that something was changing. The form advanced slowly, uncertainly. "I have to do this alone? Damn it, how am I meant to restrain him?" A voice outside offered curt order. The straps holding Rali's arms and legs were undone. He curled up, as he had always done before. The needle was placed against his skin... And he rolled, spun, and shot his hand up. The man gurgled as his throat was ripped out. The needle clattered to the floor. The man outside yelled a question. Rali stood up, pain shooting through him as ruptured muscles rebelled. He dragged himself outside, viciously clubbing the man outside with his fists until he fell. Rali fell against the wall of his cell, breathing heavily. He looked around, but saw nothing but stark white light, reflections that hurt his unused eyes. He got up, and staggered along blindly. Still, he heard nothing. Then a shout, from far away. He wandered blindly for a long time. Still, he ran into no one. Then...two large doors. He broke into a horrible, shambling gait, almost bestial in nature, and burst through them. Shouts erupted all around him. Something hot and sharp pierced him, but he kept moving. He dropped to all fours, snarling. As he ran, his vision cleared. Adrenalin ran through him, speeding his reaction. The men that leapt at him were thrown off. The large metal fence before him, made of stiff wire links, was no impediment. He climbed it unhesitatingly, howling as another bullet pierced his back. From the top he spun over and fell, landing heavily on the ground. Immediately he was up, and running off at a pace his pursuers couldn't match. He ran without thinking. At last, something opened up around him. People. Buildings. Fast moving cars. He stood up, blinking. Life. Normal life. Memories of it came flooding back. He knew everything he had known about the world. But nothing, nothing about himself. He was empty. A void. And he had a strange feeling that was a good thing. He strode into the city, ignoring the startled looks he was given. Emaciated, naked, everything scars and bloody welt shown in full profile. He started walking through smaller streets, avoiding the larger press of people. Signs were all around him, in languages that teased the edges of his mind. At last he stopped, and stared at one of them. Slowly, it transformed into something he could read. A clothing store of some kind. He walked inside, and surrounded by darkness. He started, thinking his endless cycle had begun again. Soft lights illuminated the area though. His was simply surrounded by black clothing. A man, dressed in what surely had come from this store, and with numerous piercings, asked if he could help. Rali stepped up to him,and headbutted him, hard. The man fell, unconscious. Rali quickly picked up a tight black shirt, and black pants. Casting around, he dug up some heavy duty black boots, and black leather gloves. Then something caught his eye. A trenchcoat, hanging on a peg on a wall. Rali tried it on, it fit perfectly. He strode back outside, wondering what exactly life would hold for now.
liamc2
Jack stacked his meagre belongings from the front desk into the cardboard box he had found. The board in front of him flashed on and off. He shrugged, it wasn't his problem anymore. He had handed in his uniform and was dressed in casual, the automatic was tucked in his jeans and was pressing its cold weight against his spine. Jack hefted his box up when he noticed something flit past. He raised an eyebrow and watched the glass doors shatter, he raised his hands to shield his eyes, dropping the box in the process. 'The hell..' he muttered as he wandered around the desk. 'What was that...' He could hear something charging up the corridor behind him. Jack spun around and found himself sailing through what was left of the automatic doors. He skidded along the tarmac, jeans saving his skin. Whatever was behind him was gone now. 'The hell is going on around here?' Jack shouted to no-one in particular. Feeling it the right thing to do, Jack turned and jogged for the gate, elbows smarting where the tarmac had ripped away flesh. 'Come now girly..' hissed a voice, 'my my, aren't you a pretty thing....' Jack wandered forward cautiously, hands slipping around for the pistol by themselves. As he neared he noticed a security guard, pistol of sorts in his hands, busying himself with his trousers. Jack raised an eyebrow. Then he noticed the girl lying limp on the grass. 'Oi! Wait up there!' Jack yelled, jogging forward, pistol raised and pointing to the sky. The security gaurd raised his hands grinning, 's'alright, plenty of her to go around. Heyy, you're that new kid that got fired. You're lucky you weren't in the lower levels...all us unlucky bastards got wiped out, I managed to escape and then I found one of 'em for me'self. Seems mighty right don't it?' Jack slowed down to a stop, 'wait, this ain't right...' The security guard snorted. 'What about my buds? They were slaughtered in there. It's not only right, its our duty for revenge.' Jack had his pistol lowered in trembling hands. 'No. Step away...' The security guard raised his pistol, but Jack beat him to it. The shell flicked past his ear. The guard's chest exploded in a splash of red and he fell to the ground. The smoke wafted from the 9mm and Jack blinked the shock from his eyes and dropped the weapon. Raiha
Shalistrae moaned and held the side of her head. Throbbing headache out of nowhere.... Rena stood and tied on her scarf once more. She grabbed Shalistrae's hands and pulled her upright. Rena: What's wrong? Another thug appeared at the windows....ready to fire. Rena screamed, and Shalistrae grabbed the nearest heavy object. The still hot tea kettle. With a wild shriek, she hurled it at his head. There was a satisfying "bang" before he screamed and was drenched with very hot water. He danced on the air for three seconds, before plummeting to his death. Shalistrae smiled and straightened her shirt. Medra: .....wow... Shalistrae: Sorry. Lost my temper there. Rena: Cool! Do it again! Shalistrae: ....I would...but we're fresh out of tea kettles, and my hands are burned. Okay we can go now. Medra: You are crazy. That would've been the last thing I tried. Shalistrae: Sure it would....
DeathKnight
Vormir glanced upwards past the hotel's meger first floor, to the towering heavens above where its more glorious rooms were held. He turned, briskly walking, grabbing a large rifle from the side of the motorcycle. A lone shot fired, as the secruity guard for the adjacent empty office building sank to his knees, his eyes rolling upwards twards the new puncture in his forehead. Almost in a fury, Vormir ripped the keys from the belt of the guard, and ascended through the building, murmering things about the "affairs of Men and God's". Vormir: Who's tinkering with them. Who's tinkering with them. SHUT UP! IF I KNEW THE ANSWER I'D HAVE SAID IT ALREADY! The tinkerer meets the master with the black rifle in his hand, for two a time and dead body upon this man. Vormir kicked the door to the roof down and raised the rifle into the air, takeing careful aim to a large black transport helicopter that was hovering a bit above the broken window on the room. Vormir's eyes narrowed underneath the shades, as a small smile grew across his face. The wind blew a bit, causeing his hair to shift uneasily, and his trenchcoat flaired a bit behind him. Silently he moutched "Checkmate", before pulling the trigger. It threw him back several feet, the sheer power of the rifle he had masterpieced- A solid ball of blue, crackling plasma cascaded across the sky, headed straight for the helicopter. Several bolts of lighting shot out ahead of the plasma, striking the helicopter and eliminating its power to manuevur at all, the pilot's eyes growing as the unidentified attacker's projectile grew ever closer. The plasma let out a loud noise, as it doubled in size to the aproxament size of the helicopter, several of the troopers jumping out in vain twards the now-safe haven of the hotel. Vormir: This is the moment I love... Right before they die... If only I could see their faces... As the plasma collides with their helicopter and explodes in a superheated fireball, killing all of them instantly. Oh well. If I cant see their faces, I know whats going to happen next. Vormir cracked his knuckles casually, as he checked the small monitor on the side of the rifle- Almost back to full energy. He switched the mode back to more 'anti-person' sized plasma shells, and glanced up as the plasma collided with the chopper, the ball of superheated gas imploding inwards before exploding in a massive fireball that broke most of the glass along the size of the hotel, various burning debries raining downwards as the actual fireball ascended, a mix of smoke and fire trailing its fury. Vormir remained unemotionless as he glanced up to the broken window, Rena stareing down at him. He turned, as the shockwave eminated outwards, destroying most of the rest of the glass in the hotel and makeing it shift easily to one side, before slanting back, correcting itself slowly. The rainclouds that had been following Vormir from his mansion finally caught up, a slow and steady rain beginning to fall on him again..

Chaos
Medra payed no attention to the explosion. He held the others back, using the protection of the walls of the hotel. Debris rattled the building's side, and pierced halfway through brick as if it were rain. After the wave of shrapnel passed, they ran. Shalistrae carried Rena, and ran with an impossibly break-neck pace. Medra was ahead of them, keeping a single foot distance between them. It was about five minutes later, after dodging the police cars' wailing sirens and the authoritive eyes, that they came to an ATM-like machine on the other side of town; heavily commercial uptown, where business went on as usual, unaffected by the accident down in the slums. Medra punched in a seventeen-digit number, and waited for the information to come up. It showed a balence of 25,000 credits, and a fee-waver of up to 500,000 credits. Medra: "See, while I was out, I took what information I got from the testing done on me and turned fifty credits into my account and bought all the shares of a company called 'Irumex' that I could. In two weeks, a product by the name of 'Gerzintut' will be released. It's basically a steroid that has no side affects on the body as normal steroids. No liver, kidney, heart, lung, or intestional damage was found, and it was mass produced. It also kept all blood cell counts the same, and increased muscle strength without increasing muscle mass. In two weeks, I'll be one of the richest people in this town. A month later, an item that will cure all terminal diseases with minor side affects will come out. By the end of the quarter, I'll be a billionare." Shalistrae: "Good. Then you can afford to buy me some new clothes." Medra: "Right right. Let's go then. You want clothes, you'll get clothes." Rena frowned, and looked dead at Medra with what would be refered to as 'puppy dog eyes'. Medra: "And you too, Rena. Anything you want. As long as it's dark and will draw no attention." With a single press of a button, while smiling wryly at the two females, Medra took his card, which popped out of the machine, with a full 250,000 credits to spend. -- -- -- Rai, if you would be so kind, talk to me before posting. Raiha
She smiled and laced her fingers in Rena's...then the two went skipping down the street in front of Medra. The overgrown adult and the undergrown adolescent chuckled and hummed. Soon enough, they came to a department store. Medra, ever chivalrous, opened the door for them and ushered the ladies in with the utmost courtesy. Rena immediatly popped back into her "little innocent girl" mode. The clerk stared at them, then went about her buisness. Under the critical eye of Shalistare, Rena picked out blouses and pants....then handed them to Medra. Then, under the equally critical eyes of Rena and Medra, Shalistrae picked out her jeans and shirts. She held one up. Shalistrae: What do you think? Rena: ...too strappy. Medra: I like it. Shalistrae: Well.....I'd have to buy a strapless bra if I did buy it..... Rena: Naw, buy it. I'd pay to see Medra squirm in the lingere department. She chuckled and the two women calmly walked over to the aformentioned department. With the guidance of Rena, she picked out the required garments, then headed to the checkout counter. Everything went smoothly until they noticed Medra out of the corner of their eyes. He picked up something off the shelf, and the whole thing came crashing down. Rena groaned and covered her eyes. Shalistrae slumped over on the counter, dejected... At least they had gotten the stuff and paid for it. With any luck, Medra would escape with his life. The clerk marched over and began shouting and ranting......Rena sighed with resignation...and headed over.
Chaos
Glass covered his shoes, and his escape path. His crimelord of an instinct told him to run, but his street side told him not to mess up the kicks. He should've listened to his first feeling. The clerk, an aging woman with grey locks and a wrinkly, pruney face. She was one of those snooty old women that are always sterotyped on TV programs, but she was a living image of the ultimate granny. She was already red in the face with rage, and she had to let all that hot air out. Three whole minutes of a lecture about how kids have no respect, they're so clumbsy, and about how kids these days think they can do whatever they want. Rena, however, intervined, and saved Medra the agony of keeping his face down while he was getting royally bitched. She clung to his leg, and made that same pouty face as before. Her eyes watered as Medra's gaze, without moving his head, shifted nerviously towards her puffy-cheeked face. Rena: "Please don't be mad, ma'am. We can pay for it, and just be on our way. Please?" Old Woman: "Well, what a delightfully sweet young girl. Such a shame a hoodlum like he is your father. I suppose your mother over there is what is keeping your moral up-bringing on the proper side. ...Very well." The old woman struck her hand out, nearly slicing Medra's face with her long, fake nails, and he handed her the card. As she turned away, he drew his fist and his face squinched with anger, but a quick kick to the back of the shin from Rena kept him from swinging. He sighed heavily, and shifted his way out of the glass and jewelery pile, Rena still hugging on his leg.
