My Auntie once housed an Exchange Student. She drank 10 pints of water...a day! Anyway, they are really polite to you, and they won't upset you in any way at all. They could turn out to be good friends with you, but it's going to be hard with them speaking a different language and all.

AZN men? That supposed to mean asian? Anyway, working on what Jenni said, discuss what you like, maybe try and get him interested in some of your things, and introduce him to your friends. Give him warnings as well, so he doesn't go getting himself into trouble, but don't act like a mother to him.
Something I forgot before; make sure he doesn't get picked on. The worst thing that can happen in your first few days in a new place, is getting picked on. Heh, maybe even introduce him to us here at Otaku Boards

I have never really known any exchange students personally. One time i was over at one of my mom's friend's house helping make skeletons out of plastic milk cartons. They happened to have an exchange student from Germany. He was pretty cool, I guess. He had no problem speaking English at all. I ended up playing some racing game against him in the computer, lol.

There was an Asian (not sure which specific race) exchange student in my art class first semester, but these are the only couple times I have ever really encountered anything like this.

As for advice, just act as if they were anyone else, because they are. Freaking out and glorifying them will not do much but just kind of freak them out like you would be if some random person did the same thing to you. That is about all I can say.

I went to high school in Venezuela, and we had a pretty hot exchange student from America. She was blonde, had blue eyes, big teeth (not really her best trait), but she seemed nice. She had a good body, with an attractive rack. That's the first thing us horny seniors noticed.

To some of the students, she came off as a little dumb, which was just fine. I actually became good friends with her, since I was the one with the better English background. I was actually NOT a good influence on her, since learning Spanish was part of the reasons she was there in the first place, but at least I treated her with respect. On the other hand, some kid, a year below, grabbed the girl's butt and breasts and kissed her. Rather than her being upset, she was just surprised. I was like, "o_O"

Then, I heard she had had sex with one of our classmates, even if they weren't a couple. Imagine what image the people there had of American girls, after such an experience.

I also have an exchange student in my school from Korea. He's in the 6th grade, and I've never met him. I don't think he knows much about anime and manga. He sits at lunch with some kids that are just let's say jerks.

I don't know how to help you out my friend. Just don't be mean to him, spend time with him, and make him feel good in his new home. Oh and go slow on the english, don't teach him huge words. I'm sure he's learned it, I can't remember if Korea is freeor not.

Well that's all the help I have for now. Good luck.

One of my friends has an exchange student from Japan living with them. He got my friend to say "I am a loser" in Japanese telling him it means "I am cool". He went around saying it for about a week before we told him. lol.

I'm really sorry, I don't find that funny. It's degrading and your friend is representing himself as a mindless ignoramous. Just because they don't know the ways of the country mean you take advantage of it.

No, you misunderstand. Me and the Japanese kid (Kenji) got my friend (the american) to say "I am a loser" in Japanese, he thought he was saying "I am cool".

edit: wait, after reading your post again, I think you did understand. You don't know my friend, the second Kenji got there he(tj) was bugging him to teach him something cool to say in Japanese. He was driving Kenji insane. After about 1/2 hour, Kenji told him that "I am a loser" in Japanese means "I am cool" in American. The only reason I know is because I asked Kenji what TJ is really marching around the house saying. I don't see how that's not funny. Eventually, everyone in the house but TJ knew what he was really saying.
