Amorphous
well here we go, lets start it up then. Everybody starts in there towns and travels from where from there. I hope to get a visual map soon but just for a reminder here is the text typed map. Map Sorry about the reading but I cant make a visual map. (if somebody can make one though it would be greatly appreciated. Though it may be difficult) Keldingon. From there you can choose to go west or east. Going west you will find yourself at a city called Ferelon. Which will take ten days. If you go west You will find yourself at a city Gasondel. Which will take you 2 days in traveling. Going south you will find yourself at a city called Hilegoed which takes 4 days to reach. Farelon From here you may travel only west to Hilegoed which takes 3 days. From Gasondel you may only travel west to Gorongun which will take one full day. Hilegoed from here you may travel west and south and east. To the east you will find yourself at Farelon which takes 3 days. To the west you will find yourself at a town called Hellios which takes 5 days. To the south you will find yourself at a town called Rolend which takes 5 days. Gorongun from here you may travel either west or south. To the west you will find yourself at an Ocean which takes 1.5 days. To the south you will find yourself at Hellios which takes 1.5 days. The Ocean From here you will travel for 5 days across the ocean. When reaching the other end you will find yourself at a vast plains. Called the Blue Plains. The Blue Plains In the plains you may travel south and north. To cross from either end of the plains it will take 5 days. Maybe you will even find out why its called the blue plains. Hellios from here you may travel either west or south or east. To the west you will find yourself at Velenin Castle which takes 13 days. Now in between those thirteen days you can chose to go to a town in the west called Hundfor. That will take you 9.5 days to reach. Rolend from here you may travel south reaching a place called Dredin Highway which takes 5 days. Velenin Castle from here you can travel east or west. To the east is Gret which takes one days worth of travel. To the west it is Dredin Highway which also takes 1 day. Hundfor from here you may travel to the ocean which takes only an hour. Dredin Highway from here you may travel east or west. To the east you will find yourself at a place called Bareon it takes 3 days to reach. To the west you will be at the castle wich takes 1 day to reach. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ and we are on our way, I also forgot to mention something, I don't actually take part in the rpg, but I am more of a moderator figure in this topic, and I will tell you when you run out food, where you are. Because you can run into small villages and places in between travels. But yeah thats about it.
JesterSpirit
There was a crack of steel as Jestyr's blade bit into the side of his opponents. The mans grip failed and the sword flew to the side rolling off the mat. The crowd surrounding the two men broke into a cheer and Jestyr held his own rapier high in victory. Walking out of the arena Jestyr rubbed the side of his head still high over his win. That had been quite a sword fighting competition and there had been several times when he was almost beaten, yet he had persevered. In all his life he had never lost a fencing competition. He loved swords and fighting both of which he excelled at. Though it was a dying sport. Gorongun was one of the only towns that still held such competitions. There was a new love in the world, involving a game he had always before looked down upon as ridiculous. Yet Jestyr knew he couldn't live without some form of dueling. If it couldn't be with swords, then it would be with whatever else was available. He pulled his small starter deck out of his coat looking at it again. Such an odd game. He had spent a considerable portion of his money to that shop owner in exchange for lessons on the game. He had all the basics down and even a few advanced moves involving his own cards though his knowledge of the game ended there. He pulled up his backpack and began walking out of the town. His pack had about of week or so of snacks in it, and about $1000 dollars. He didn't wish to begin his career as a card duelist in his home town. He would only duel here once he is truly one of the greats. His destination now was Hellios were he hoped to find some competition to kick off his new career. Domon
Ryan stood atop a hillside on his parents property, the view he saw was of his hometown Keldingon, he sighed and pulled out the starter deck he had gotten on his birthday just yesterday, Ryan had asked around about this game and found a guru at a local card shop who gave him lessons on this, Ryan had never played a card game before in his life, he pulled out his favorite card, it was a pure snowy white dragon. The card shop owner had told Ryan that the Dragon's name was Blue Eyes White Dragon. After he had gotten proper training Ryan had found out from the guru that there were duelists in other towns, and that he should venture off to those towns. "Should i go or should i stay and help mother and father??? Well, i do need some adventure in my life, so i think i'll do it, i'll go and duel." He walked down the hill, his trenchcoat fluttering in the breeze behind him. As he entered his house Ryan went to his room and gathered up his items which consisted of $2000 and his sword he had also recieved on his birthdayl. Ryan walked down the stairs only to hear the clanking and clattering of kitchenware, he saw his mother slaving away at the sink cleaning, Ryan walked over to her. Ryan: Mother, i'm leaving to go on a duelist adventure. RM: Okay, i assumed you would, there is at least 2 days worth of food in the ice box. Take care and have fun dear. I love you. Ryan: Thanks mom. Ryan took the food and headed out the door, he decided to head for Gasondel, it would only take him 2 days to get there, so he set off on his adventure.
Amorphous
just a reminder you two have one days worth of traveling and you will run into your first duel to decide how good you are, your selected destinations, may vary from where you orginaly wanted to go, based on your skill. Because well I created it that way, just making sure you knew that, and remember you can run into small villages and stuff in the middle of your journey. Circ
The two men went carelessly along the street oh Keldingon. Too bad for them. A young boy appeared seemingly out of nowhere and run straight between them, skillfully avoiding hitting their arms. Two minutes later, one of them reached for his money in order to pay dinner. "Hey, my purse! Someone stole me!" he yelled. "The boy..." groaned his companion. He immediatey reached into his own pocket. His money was still there, but then... "My deck!" --- Sylvan looked at today's finding: a purse with 30 gold pieces, quite a lot around here. And something he already saw before, but never owned: A Duel Monster deck. He always had been fascinated with this game, and observed the feverous players everytime he could. You learn an awfull lot from other people's strategies... Had he had enough money, he'd have bought the deck himself, but a homeless 13-years old pickpocket never own that much money. "With that much money, I can survive some traveling." He'd never dared going out of town for fear of not having enough food, but now he could make easily the travel down to his home town... "Then let's get this on the way!" he called to nobody. He could use some of the money over a travel bag and some food, then he'd be ready.
boothten
Xion was training outside with his Elec. Sword. He was sweating and mucsles were bulging from the extra training he put in. So far, today he has trained for 3 1/2 hours!!! He didn't want to stop, but his cousin came out with some lemonade and food. The aroma of the cooked cheese sandwiches caught his nose. His cousin made the best Cheese Sandwiches anywhere. He had to stop now. He took the sandwich and took a big bite of it. There were three more of them on the plate. Anna: So, you're gonna' go traveling, huh? Xion: Yeah, I'm going off to Hilegoed. Why? *He set down his deck and started to play solitaire Duel Monsters.* Anna: Just wanted to know. I'm gonna' invite my best friend over for about a week. Xion: Fine with me.:) *He sets down his Blue Eyes after tributing Skull red bird and and Uraby.* After the quick lunch, Xion kept dueling solitaire. After about thirty minutes, he went back to his training. His best friend, Gado( :P Yes, Gado from B.R. )came to train with him with his Fire Sword. Gado: Hiya!!! Xion: AGHHHHH! After the training was done, they started off a duel. Xion won and Gado started to laugh. He then said "Good game!" He left back to his house. Xion did the same, he put his Sword into a special hilt on his belt. He did the same with his deck. His journey would begin firdt thing 7 'clock tomorrow ...
Onix
Tao packed up his few belongings. His spare clothes, his deck, and his family Ninja-to. He was ready to go. He grabbed his money, ($2000) and walked out of his former home. He walked out of Hellios, and headed off towards Hundfor. He had allready beaten every duelist here, so he needed to go somewhere with a challange. Some new opponents. This would be an interesting journey. JesterSpirit
Jestyr sat down against the tree. He had been walking for hours and he needed a quick break. The countryside was pretty nice, he generally didn't get along with nature but he still thought it was nice to look at. His mind was in the clouds though, or more accurately in his deck. Card Destruction? That magic card seemed pretty useless. The only real purpose of it would be if he had no monsters and was getting attacked. Of course doing so would mean he would lose the cards he had at that time and could badly hurt him in the long run. Seems like a pointless gamble. What a dumb card, Jestyr couldn't think of a single passable reason to have it in his deck. He made up his mind to dump it for something better the moment he gets some more cards. He layed down relaxing on the side of the road and staring at the sky. His thoughts were still swirling about his deck as he silently dozed off. Posthumous
Silver had just woken up.Laying there thinking."What if I leave..today...will I ever come back?"He got up and went to take a shower. He had no parents. He just lived with his younger brother. They worked for food.Just yesterday Silver bought a deck of cards. He knew that it harnessed an immense power. After his shower he dried up and went outside. His sword was standing next to the building. He told this brother to stay, and said that he will miss him and will make money and send it home.He packed some food and lots of water. He said "I'm heading to Hundfor...bye..... Silver was walking along a windy path. Silver:Argh...Stupid wind! A journey beyond awaits for him....
Circ
Walking, walking, walking... Even when you're used to it, it will become boring. Sylvan had used some of his spare time (something you didn't lacked when walking for several hours along the road.) to take out several cards* from his deck in order to make it flow better. It was a nice sunny day, with those nice-looking puffy white clouds that made such nice shading of paintings... Or were those three branches?? Anyway, Sylvan was getting hungry by now, and a bit tired, which was understandable: it was now 5:00 pm. By this time, he'd usually would have used the day's money over some food. He was approaching a small village, or rather a group of ten houses around a small marketplace and pub. Normally, he would not use the money over such futilities. After all, he WAS used to sleeping outside. But today was a different day, a day that made him felt like celebrating. So he could spend some money to sleep inside tonight. This would have been dangerous for many other 13-years old young boys, But Sylvan was used to awake at the slightest unusual sound and could threw his knife with deadly accuracy. So it was decided. He entered the pub, which was only filled with two or three men of the village and a group of 4 voyagers. As he walked past their table, he suddenly tripped over and felt painfully on the ground. The closest immediately rushed to his help. "Are you alright, youngling?" He asked in kind concern while his companions attempted vainly to stiffle their snickers. "I'm very fine, thank you." Sylvan responded, dusting hiself. He quickly walked to the bartender. A lil' more gold was clinking in his pocket than when he started this journey. This was a golden day, with all the meanings. "A small room for the night, please." He asked. "That will be two pieces. With 3 Sylvery, you'll get the breakfeast too." Sylvan gave him three pieces and waited for the two Sylveries. He decided staying around wasn't a good idea. Some men were either looking too much interested or even leering at him. "Mental note: use a chair to lock the door." He'd eat in his room. * The cards are: Swordsman of Landstar, Milus Radiant, Flame Manipulator, Flame Swordsman, Thousand Dragon, Dragon Treasure, Mountain, Ultimate Offering, Castle Walls, Polymerization. Sylvan still owns them, though.
Domon
Ryan had been walking for about an hour when he decided to rest for awhile. He sat down by a brook and just stared at the water, all he could think about was his deck, it supposedly had one of the most powerful dragons in all of Duel Monsters. Ryan couldn't believe his luck. After sitting there in space for awhile Ryan opened up the knapsack of food he had, he took out a sandwhich and started to nibble on it. He had quite a long journey in front of him, thankfully there was a small village not far from where he was, it was only about 4 miles away, he should make it before nightfall. Ryan stood up, brushed off the dust on his pants and started to walk briskly off towards the village, his trenchcoat playing games in the wind.

Circ
Birds chirping. Sylvan didn't notice there was a tree near his room's window. In his half-asleep state, it took him a good 2 minutes before membering that he didn't have a window in his room! Litterally jumping from his bed, he noticed that the chirping actually came from a small hole in the outer wall. He looked into him... And was poked in the eye by a young pigeon. "OUCH!" He felt back on his bottom in surprise, holding his eye. "I hate birds", he groaned before getting up and grabbing his things. He kikced the chair away fro the door and stormed down the corridor, glaring at everything in sight. It could have been such a nice day after a good night, but he HAD to get poked in the eye by a pigeon... He sat at the Inn's counter and eat rageously his Breakfeast. It was still early, and no other consummer was there. A few minutes later, a man walked in and sat next to in, calling the tender. Sylvan looked at him at the wrong moment only to see the man whose deck he had stolen the day before... "I know you! You're the young one who stole my deck!" He yelled, drawing a short dagger out. Sylvan was quicker and threw his knife, blocking the man's arm against the counter. "And what if I was? It's not like you'll have a chance to prove it! I have the advantage of the young innocent look." The man slowly moved his other hand to his pocket. "Then, I'll ask to duel for it." He sneered at Sylvan. "Very well, then!" Sylven sneered back. Just at that moment, the bartender came back. "We have a nice small dueling arena in the back of the room." He pointed. "Thank you." The man angrily replied. They walked to the arena, a small one for rather personnal uses (note: it's about the size of a pool table.), but with excellent holographic projectors. "Let's Duel!" Amorphous
oh by the way when you people are versing another person thats only in the game not actually protrayed as another character. When your dueling, you will verse me through P.M.s or I will give you people a choice. Choice 1; You can either fight me through P.M.s when you run into a character that duels that is only in the game itself not used by any one person. Or Choice 2; I can just P.M. you and you can randomly win or loose. Just post your answer on this thread with your I.C. post afterwards.
Circ
I already Pmed you about that. (I will duel you through PMs)
JesterSpirit
Jestyr jumped up in record time when he suddenly snapped awake. It was almost dawn again, he had slept most of the afternoon and all night. He started taking off down the road trying to make up some lost time. He had hoped to be in Hellios before the end of the day now he was way late. Oh well, atleast if he kept up this speed he would be there in a few more hours. Circ
"If I win, I will cut your hands off." The mand told menacingly. "And what if I win?" Sylvan asked. "As if that has any chances to happen!" The man laughed. "You will get a card of your choice from my deck!" Sylvan smirked. He could still get any card he wanted, but dueling them certainly added some thrill to the thing.
