Holidays ^_^

Well this year I'm going to visit my auntie in San Diego, California for two and a half weeks in August, which will be great fun as always (extremely excited :excited: )! Also on this trip I will be going to Las Vegas for a few days which is amazing and beautiful! I wish I could gamble though, :( but still it's great fun. Oh and of course I will be looking forward to having a supreme shopping spree while I'm away and maybe go to the cinema, because everything comes out alot earlier in America ... so unfair! :p

Ok *slowly gets to the point*- Holidays are a weird experience at times, when I go somewhere new I usually get a bit worried on how safe it is, bit upset because I will miss my friends/lovers, and butterflies to show excitement at the same time. Usually everything is fine, but something bad might happen the odd occasion. The first day I will be a bit home sick and probably moan to parents a bit (depends how hotel is or wherever I'm stayin) By the end of the week I would have found some holiday friends and never want to leave, especially when they are girls ;) but I always try to keep in touch which is good.

What are you board members opinions on holidays? Anyone going on holiday this year, if so where to?

I will reply more information soon :demon:

Well, I'm not sure where I am going this year, I want to go to America, preferably Florida again. But as I said, I have no idea yet!
I find holidays cool, as you get to escape from everything you normally do, and you can act completely differnet, and meet different people. However, after about a week, I do start to miss my friends, and sometimes they do really fun stuff, or they do really dumb stuff (cheat with my girlfriend, you know who you are!)
In the end, they give you a break, a good tan hopefully and some good memories.
In the future, I would love to go on a skiing holiday; cold weather, sport and snow. And, I hear the slopes attract nice girls ^_^;

Well, I went to Lake Tahoe (a city that borders California and Nevada) for the New Year. It was my first time playing in the snow and I got to do some underaged gambling (woohoo!). I lost $10, though...

Whenever I go on vacation (or holiday), I usually have a good time. There's the one exception where I took a 2-day road trip with my grandmother to go to a funeral, but that's about it. I usually don't mind taking road trips, either. All I ask is that the driver stop at least once per day, so that everyone can get out of the car and stretch.

A thing that annoys me on holidays is while you're away you don't know what's going on behind your back. You miss out on gossip, your partner could cheat which is spiteful behind your back and the most annoying thing at my age is relaxing having fun while getting a tan and then getting back with a humongous amount of homework and coursework to do which you may of missed out on which is a major bummer. I try my hardest to go on holiday in school holidays, but it's not always that easy, plus I enjoy a break from school as like a vacation (I suppose I can't miss out on nething as my GCSEs are coming soon :().

I will maybe be going on little side holidays in England and I'm going on a school trip with mates which will be really cool! I'm sure I will be going on holiday with friends soon, which will make my holiday even more enjoyable. :toothie: *misses sun and half naked girls*

Anyone here live in/near San Diego or Las Vegas? ... Or Los Angeles as I may go there too!

Well i don't think i am going anywhere abroad this year but where your going sounds pretty cool and exciting. I go to a place in England like every year but thats necause its a place where my family enjoy going and i usually have to go.
I may be going to an island in between Japan and Russia but i have forgotten the name. This is because my uncle is going to live out there for a while and will probably invite my mum to come and stay so i can go to. This is most probably happening like next year as he doesn't go there until the end of this year.

LOL sounds fun! I want to do something exciting like that when I go on holiday. I'm sure I will swim and attempt to surf in the sea at one point! The whole being chased by a crocodile I may try to avoid and I've touched a sting ray they feel weird.

So does anyone live in California or Las Vegas? I suppose places are great when people visit them as a vacation, but if someone said they were coming to England for their vacation I would slap them hard asking them constantly are they crazy, but I suppose that's just me ^_^ I'm not sure if people who live in either California or Las Vegas feel the same way as I do about people visiting England, but I'm very excited! :excited:

LOL yeah you sure are crazy! I'm not very knowledgable about Ohio, but I'm pretty sure it must be warmer than miserable England. It's kind of boring here especially where I live! Not much attractions, expensive shops and well we get everything later than countries such as America. Sure it's alot better to some places so I shouldn't really complain. You may want to have a quick peek at London and then go home lol, living here is not such a great idea and there are alot of idiots around here, but I suppose cold temperatures, boredom, and being surrounded by stupid hard people is some people's ideal home. A week here would do you fine SaiyanPrincessX, but saying all this I don't think I could move to America, because I would miss my friends too much.

Get me out of here! :help:

 • 3 weeks later...
SPX, it's crap here. Everything is overpriced, there's nothing but a few buildings that are 'famous' and a big grey sky.
Well, my dad just came into my room, about 30 minutes ago, and told me I'm jetting off to the Dominican Republic for 2 weeks on the 6th of August. It looks like a great resort. Beach football, swimming, free drink and beach volleyball (you can expect to see me out ther ein my bikini doing my DOA:X impression). I'm a guy, so I guess that's scary. Entertainment until 11pm, then out onto the main road outside the resort, where you can charge your drinks to the hotel, and gamble etc. They all stay open until 3am, then there is a All-Night-Snack Bar that stays open until 8am in the morning.
And there's a games room, and the sea, and free water sports and...*drowns off into exciting mubbling*

I'm an hour north of Los Angeles :)

I may actually be making a stop in San Diego if I end up going to Mexico in a week. My university runs on a odd semester schedule: we go to school for 7 weeks and get the 8th week off. This upcoming week is a break week, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

I hope that I get to go to Mexico for two days and lose myself in a bit of a drunken haze, it would be a nice relief after the recent events that have been happening in my life :whoops:

That sounds a very cool holiday Alexus and something I would enjoy!

The last time I went to San Diego I also went to Mexico for a day. found it scary how you just step over a border line and you see such a different life style. Little children just coming up to me begging for money, their life is just so different and being right next to the USA I think something should be done, but that's just an opinion. All the money should help out the poor, I kind of felt helpless and the need to give the children the money. Enough of that, but when you go into Mexico I think I remember some really cool graffiti walls you could look out for! ;) I also used to go to Los Angeles for the theme parks! :toothy:

Holidays are usually a great time to relax, but then its the hassle when you get back. :(

Last holiday I went to was to New York City last August, and it was pretty cool; no way I was prepared for such a big city. >_< This July I'm going to head over to San Diego, California for about a week and a half - a week and a half of a good vacation, but no consoles or internet. [or blue or red shirts and bandanas ¬_¬]

I love vacations! Although I only go about once a year, my vacations are cool because we really go somewhere pretty far away. We've been to England, Florida, North Caralina, Cape Cod, and I'm returning to California after I visited when I was really young. They help me get away from whatever I'm doing, and give me a break from video games and other electronics [except my GBA, ha!]. I usually go to visit people, but I don't think we really know anyone over in California, other than I know a lot of you all are from there, though I don't think I'll be knocking on your doors any time soon, no offense. ^_^

Well this came as quite a big surprise to me that i am now going to New York in the summer as a sort of birthday present from my nan and grandad which i thought was really cool and generous of them. Do any of you guys recomend some famous places, landmarks i should visit etc?

Wow I must say that is pretty darn generous Vercetti! Well erm the first BIG landmark that pops into my mind would be the Statue of Liberty. I hear the Big Apple has some pretty amazing skyscrapers as well. I'm sure their is some amazing restaurants, and I know your a fan of WWE so you could go to WWE New York. ;) It's an enormous place by the sounds of things so try not to get lost and I would try and save up your money for a shopping spree. I think you will have an extremely fun time no doubt about it, but I also hear it's pretty dangerous out there so be cautious!

Date: Departs for California and arrives on the 15th August. :excited:

Central Park, the Today Show, Rockafella Center, China Town, Little Italy, Ellis Island [you can do that in conjunction with the Statue of Liberty], Empire State Building, Times Square...the possibilites are endless, everything I just listed [with the exception of Ellis Island and the Statue] are strictly in the Manhattan burrow.

I've seen more of NYC than I care to see, it's not really the town for me... :grumble:

I love holidays, but the only places I've been to are Ireland and New York. :(

I'm going to New York and Boston this summer though, along with Australia early next year. I can't wait. ^_^
