Gaming Pokemon of the week

There is a thread like this in the Digimon forum, so let's have one about Pokemon!!!

Basically, in this thread, every week someone picks a Pokemon. Discussions are held about that Pokemon for a week. After a week, someone picks a new Pokemon. Try not to pick the same Pokemon twice. Of course, you can post anything about the Pokemon of the week--you can say something special about it, how you raised one (or how you plan to), something about its appearance in the show... Basically, you can say anything about it, as long as it's about that Pokemon--if Vaporeon's the Pokemon of the week, don't post a big long thread about Dragonite. And don't post anything too negative, such as "That is the ugliest Pokemon in the world"--that might be offensive to those who like that Pokemon. Anyway, let's start!

The Pokemon of the week is...

You all remember Haunter, don't you? In the show, he loves to make silly faces at his opponents! Silly, huh? You especially see that in the episodes "The Tower of Terror" and "Haunter vs. Kadabra"!

He is very funny.He can pull great pranks.Yet he is very strong.

But...

Haunter is one of the best ghost type pokemon there are. Sure the only real ghost types are Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar, but Haunter is basically the best one out of the three. The reason I say he is is because he learns Nightshade, Shadow Ball, Psychic, and Amnesia fairly quickly... unlike Gengar. Sure Gengar's stats are maybe 3 points higher after Evolution, but let's face it -- Haunter is the best.

Those are my views on Haunter, the Ghost type pokemon and always will hold a special place in my heart as The Destroyer.

[color=royalblue]For some reason, I have the same feeling, but as long as people reply with wholesome reponses and not stuff like "Oh, yeah! That one's really cool!" and nothing else, I'll keep this open. It may provide some helpful hints about raising the particular Pokémon and such for other people.

I've found Haunter to be a very valuable Pokémon, as it was the one I used to capture the Johto Dogs. Haunter's ability to learn good Psychic and Ghost moves, as Valen mentioned, is really great. It is true that Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar are the only Ghost Pokémon worth capturing, no one need forget about Misdreavus. ^^; To e honest, I haven't used Haunter outside of the Legendary thing, as Ghost and Poison Pokémon aren't my style, but it is good, none-the-less.[/color]

I think that Huanter was a really cool pokemon. I raised him to L100 and I like him alot, but for some reason I never really kept him with me for very long. He also looks pretty awsome, man looking back I can beleive I didn't keep him with me more. My when the new games come out I will use him more.

I remember the first Haunter I ever raised...

I was 15 just got pokemon Blue (was still quite new to Pokemon) found and caught a Gastly then was surprised to find that as soon as it went up a lvl it evovled, Then I found out that Haunter is great He was the one that i trained the most (now i know your not supposed to do that but i have matured)and discovered the Pshychic TM taught it that and the rest is just History....

I lie Haunter. Like chaos_79 said, he is very funny. I like his attitude. He cheers the group up and doesn't really seem to have a fear about anything.
