Plant_Angel
Ever wondered who gave Vash and Knives their names? I mean, who in the right mind calls a kid KNIVES and not expect them to have issues later in life? And also Episode 25 Why doesnt Meryl just give him a big hug instead of leaving so suddenly? Thats what I'd do, any one else feel the same?

Guest 9Eagle7Dragon
Ah, I love my job. I'm not really paid to terrorize the Trigun Forum, but I still love it. Brace yourselves for another distrubing first-person account from Knives. Well, it was Lem who gave me and Vash our names.
But I am not infact called Knives by Lem. I gave myself that name. She gave me the name Millions. Crappy name, so I changed it.
I hated Lem. She was weak, soft, and of all things, a human. I can't beleive there could be a paridise on gunsmoke for humans. It was little more than a foolish dream. An 'Eden,' she called it. Of all the rediculous things. *End rant*
Plant_Angel
Ah, so THATS why Knives is credited as Millions as well! Yeah, Millions is kinda crappy......much rather be an implement of pain, torture and a handy kitchen utensil for slicing cakes and buttering scones. Guest TLOL_Vash
I'll look up a little on japanese translations for knives at home, i'm pretty sure it's just straight english and when itnsay's knives it means his name is knives as in sharp stabby things, Rem named em both as far as I know and steve messing knives about alot made him messed up as far as I know. meryl no give Vash big hugs because she was afraid to tell him how she feels. Spinnelein
None of the Trigun charas' names mean anything in Japanese, as Mr. Nightow is very engrossed in American culture and actually has relatively good English... ("Kuroneko is a ... small ... black ... CAT!") The katakana for "Knives" : na - i - fu - zu [p. naaivf-zu]
Plant_Angel
Wolfwood calls Vash "Tongari" and in the subtitles it says "Needle noggin" but looking it up it translates as sensitive to weight, or something (ton= ton (weight) -gari= sensitive to)

Plant_Angel
Yeah, I went to Italy on the first week of Easter holiday (boast boast) and there was a list of things not allowed to be taken on planes and one of them was 'Knives' writen with a capital letter as if it was a name. Imagine him trying to explain that to customs!
