Rhys Mayiessen
I just got back from Snowblading for two days^^ I was wondering if anyone here likes to Ski, Snowboard, or Snowblade? I do want to try Snowboarding sometime but for now I'm snowblading. I don't have a lot of hills around me but I went about an hour away from my house and there are two pretty good hills. Horseshoe Vally is one that is my favorite probably because I've been to it more times than the other one which is Mount. St. Louis Moonstone.
Sui Generis
I love snowboarding. Although its a lot harder than it looks. I don't have any good hills around here. I live in Kansas. Flat as far as the eye can see. I normally go to Colorado to snowboard. Last time I went I broke my nose cool huh?
boothten
I love to Snowboard! It's just I don't have snow around where I live. I live in Escondido near San Diego in Cali. and usually have to go to a Mountain called "Big Bear Mt." As I said before, I love to Snowboard. Is snowblading those one that go on both feet like ski's but are smaller?
Juu
omg! I love skiing and snowboarding! ^____^ We're going skiing a fourth time this year, next week! ^^ I like to switch back and fourth from skiing and snowboarding. If my dad's skiing, I snowboard, and if my dad's snowboarding, I ski. I love skiing and snowboarding. We always go to Lake Tahoe, which is about a two-three hour drive from here. We usually go on Saturdays, and start driving at 3:00am, and come back home the same day at 7:00pm. I love going down the California trail. It has alot of smooth turns, and narrow ridges. ^^ The Nevada side is really difficult though. The first half is pretty flat and narrow, so it's hard to start with a snowboard. But afterwards, it has soooo many bumps, so I keep falling down on skis. ^_^;;;
eleanor
I LOVE snowboarding! I've been doin' it for nine years now. ::smiles proudly:: I live in Georgia though, so we have to go to other states to go to good resorts. Skiing is fun too, though. They go faster than snowbaords, I believe, and are easier than snowboarding. P.S. Yeah, snowboarding is when you use both feet on one boards, Lan. Kent
Although I lived in Virginia for the first 18 years of my life, I have never done any of these activities. Any time it snowed I would just be happy with the occasional sleding. My question is... which of these would be considered the hardest? And on a side note, and a really odd coincidense, I had a dream I was snow boarding the other night. I actually managed to get the hang of it too. Really odd though that you would bring this up after I had a dream about something I have never done. Hope you had fun on that trip.
Corey
I am going to learn to snowboard as soon as we get some snow... *Glares at Mother Nature for the cold snowless winter* But... What is snowblading?

Well its like skiing except that you are on really really small skis. You use the same boots as skiing though. I would have to say that snowboarding is the hardest of them all even though I haven't tried it yet. The only reason I say this is because you aren't use to being sideways and going down a hill. Then you have to turn....great now I'm probably going to suck at it.
Outlaw
I am personally a huge snowboarder. I go on roadtrips with me friends just about every other weekend. Infact, this presidents weekend, me and 3 friends are headed out to Utah. We saved up a ton of money, aswell as getting some donations from parents, and got a hotel room, a few lift tickets, and round trip tickets on Southwest for just 200 bucks a peice. Now to Utah, thats amazing. Anyways, its gonna be amazing. 4 days of boarding in the Rockies with our own Hotel room. Man this is gonna be sweet. On that point, has anyone ever been to Park City, Deer Valley, or the Canyons. since well be in that area. If so, can you recomend some runs for us. We are all quite accomplished boarders, and I'm hopin to hit up some great pow runs.

Fall
The closest I've ever done to snowboaring is running down a dirt-hill. :twitch: There isn't snow around here for miles, and there never will be. Sounds fun though. :)

eleanor
I think the hardest of the three to learn is snowboarding. If you want to learn how to ski or snowboard, I'd probably learn how to ski first.
zidane11
You should try going to a ski resort. I can ski black diamonds but I can only snowboard on intermediate. From now on I'm going snowboarding. I'm pretty new to it.
Rhys Mayiessen
I dun know if its such a good idea to go to a ski resort to learn to ski or snowboard. It would be better if you went to something like a smaller hill...it would be much much easier to learn there.
Corey
Agreed. And plus you don't get all the laughage that comes your way from advanced people watching you fall over yourself when you try a simple thing like stopping....

I've been doing it for about 1 year and I love it! I started skiing at a young age and i think that made it a lot easier to snowblade! I'm just starting to try tricks and stuff and I can't wait to land my first grab!!! Hehehe!! Its great!!! If you have a chance, you should learn how to snowblade or ski or snowboard!! It's easy for me to say tho cuz i have a hill right in the city. It's kinda small but it works! Anywho, I love it and I think that anyone who wont try cuz they're too afraid should conquer their fear cuz its a great experience!

Syk3
Let's see, I've been skiing for about 6 years, but as I only go once a year, I'm not that good. I'm not saying that I'm bad though; I usually skii intermediate slopes and rarely a black diamand. The place that I skii is about five hours away, but it's still good, since I bring my gaming consoles in the car. ;) I usually go to this one place called Timberline in West Virginia, but last year I went to Seven Springs in...Pensylvania, I think. I think I want to go to Seven Springs more in the future though, since the black diamands are a little easier, there are more things to do (like bowling inside the place), and I can relate to some of my friends who go there a lot. Although I have been skiing for a while and don't have enough money for a board, I would like to learn how to snowboard. It looks really fun, and from watching and learning from snowboarders on the slopes, I think I might be able to make it down the bunny slope. o_O The only thing I really hate about skiing is the clothes and stuff I have to put on. -__- Maybe if I had cooler stuff to wear, it wouldn't be that bad. *shrug*

Outlaw
Well, I just got back from Park City, Utah. The boarding, or skiing, or whatever was great out there. Got some fresh powder dumped on us and all. Just check out this view. The only bad part about it was the crowds on pres. day and that when we where at the Canyons, it snowed so hard the lifts closed for a few hours. We ended up hiking 2 miles uphill in the freakin blizzard to get back to the main lodge. FYI: The main lodge at the canyons is mid-mountain. Anyways, great powder, great nightlife, and great jumps outweighed those two bads. We even made some friends out there who helped us build our own jump on a back slope to avoid the crowds. Anyways, hope you all have some good pow. days while theres still snow.
