I have got tons, and never sent them. Nothing bad has happened, except the occasional bad thing that usually always happens. No "umpteen years" of bad luck or nothing. I think they are just plain stupid things. :D

Chain letters and good luck letters are just annoying crap. The bad luck thing is complete B/S and whoever sends them is being ridiculous. I just delete the letters/emails without bothering to read them. I know how annoying they can be and I don't want to annoy other people by sending it to them.

Gosh, I hate chain letters on aim...
Alot of my IRL friends send me those because they get bored, and it's soooooo annoying!

I don't believe in bad luck, especially with those chain letters. I get about three of them every day, and it drives me crazy! ><;;;

I've gotten two chain letters so far in my life. I got them both years ago.

I didn't send them. Sending a piece of paper in the mail isn't going to change your luck.
Unless you get hit by a postal truck or something.

I've gotten tons, both in snail mail & over the net. I always throw them away. Once I did send one over e-mail, because it was promising a specific thing & I just sort of did it as a joke. It didn't come true, obviously.

I got so many from random strangers that I eventually opened another e-mail account. The only people who have it are you Otakuans & about a dozen or so others. Feel very privledged, everyone. I hardly ever give it out, because of spam like chain letters. Let my junk mailbox field them.

GRRR! *goes into a fit of rage, kicking chairs out of the way*

I absolutely DESPISE chain letters.. especially chain emails. I can't believe I have friends that are stupid enough to think you can get bad luck from not sending an email. I wrote a long email to my friends a few weeks ago about how much I hate chain emails, and why they shouldn't send them to me.. it didn't work to well, they're still sending them ><

Ok, I'll stop whining now..

Grrr....I hate chain letters! :bash::evil3::angry2: All they do is take up space in my mailbox. Whenever someone sends me one, I just delete it. I don't have the patience to scroll down through all those names until I find the actual message, which just says something dumb like "Send this to 20 people and a dog will run across your screen! Yay!" Bah! So what if a dog runs across the screen, if it even works! They act like we have nothing better to do with our time. Even though that's not exactly a lie....:p

I don't believe it's bad luck at all. Just ignore it....

I hate chain letters via e-mail or those things they did in middle school. It's extremely retarded. Nothing bad has happened to me; like "the person you like will insult you" or some stupid crap like that. Pointless wastes of time.

I think everyone here has the same opinion on chain letters and they are just a BIG annoyance! :flaming: I have millions they are just pathetic really, I don't even open an email that says Fwd: (forward) anymore. Some are funny, but I really can't be bothered with them, they are worse than superstition malarkey!

It's impossible to tell everyones fate
unless someone nukes the world to total destruction
otherwise you can't tell someone is going to get bad luck from a piece of paper made extremely long to compete with other chain letters ... Sad! *deletes pointless emails* I get emails from random people I don't know so it's just plain stupid and who ever believes the chain letters and sends them are just as stupid if you ask me (no offence to anyone who does there are excuses to send them if your bored out of you mind or trying to proove a girl you love her in some chain letters! ;)).

Other chain letters with attachments also could have viruses, so really they are ridiculous and an utter WASTE OF TIME!

 :D I hope chain letters burn in hell  :demon:

That was horrible, James. lol

I've never received a chain letter in real life, but I've gotten many in my e-mail inbox. And it's just one person, that person being my friend in Georgia. I've asked her to stop, as I hate nothing more in the world than junk mail (except maybe Barney, weekend homework, and other things that shall go unnamed), but she keeps sending them. Jeez, I hate those things. I just checkbox them and delete them now.

What I hate are those stupid ones that are supposed to give you a guilt trip.

"I'm only 7 and I have cancer.. the hospital agreed to pay for my operation if you send this letter to 10 people within 2 hours of getting it! Please!"

Who cares? *delete*

Chain letters is just another form of SPAM, and it plagues your mailbox. *delete, delete, delete.*

I really really hate those stupid things!!!!!!! After some months of getting them i warned people i would get my revenge. If there is anything i am known for it is cruel revenge. Well they paid no heed. About 4 months later in the summer i got up one day and went to the computer. If any of you ever get annoying funny pages you know they come with the funny page and like 4 links to other funnies. Well i sat down around 7:00 and sent about 200 funny pages. And each one had a subject like you had enough or tired yet? Man i got them good. Only thing is though, my teacher was caught in the crossfire.

Chain letters aren't even allowed into my thought process. I delete the damn things the second I get them. I tell everyone not to send me them if it comes to mind.

I've been much happier and email doesn't suck as much :D. Now if I could just do something about all the stupid porn spam... heh

Man I get a lot of those from my friends. You have to read it then send it to 15 people for your wish to come true, then if you delete it you will have no dates ever or something like that. Well I just cheat. I don't delete it but I don't send either^^ After awhile I delete them though. I once participated in a chain letter that was by mail not e-mail. I wasn't that old and it said that it was going to be the longest running chain letter and might be in the Guiness book. Probably not but I did it anyways cause I was stupid then. That's why I don't do them anymore.
