Sarasan
Yo. Anyone else here own Shadow Hearts? If there's another thread about this, then I'm sorry.:p But I haven't seen it.
The Vampire: Ed
I own the game myself, and I actually liked it very much. It has a good plot all be it a bit strange, unique and easy gameplay, good characters with their own unique special attacks and magic abilities. Overall it's a good game, but of course the graphics are mediocre and the character/enemy models are frequently reused except with a new paint job or something. A lot of RPGs do this, but it seems like Shadow Hearts has even less models to work with than other games. That's kinda of annoying. But other then those problems it's still an entertaining game. They managed to have a decent amount of humor with the mature matter, and that was also another enjoyable aspect of the game to me. So I say it was good, not great, but good. Guest visser 3
What is Shadow Hearts. Is it like Kingdom Hearts.Just wondering.
Sarasan
Shadow Hearts is a real cool RPG. The story is: A British priest is slaughtered outside of a church in Rouen, his daughter, Alice Elliot is kidnapped. Then, we see a tall, old man in a suit and top-hat strolling down a train, Japanese soldiers dying in his wake. As he exits one car, we focus on a man wrapped in cloth ( Our hero.) I'll tell more of the story later. :) I don't think it's anything like Kingdom Hearts though.

Semjaza
It's absolutely nothing like Kingdom Hearts. I wouldn't call it an amazing RPG, as it's rather average... It's certainly better than most RPGs on PS2 right now though, and a nice diversion. The main problem with the game is the graphics. I know graphics aren't everything, but when a game looks like a high resolution PSX game it's not a good thing. Some of the backgrounds and lighting effects are really well done, but the monsters simply suck for the most part. There are some interesting designs, but most of them are covered in absolutely horrible textures that really detract from the game overall. The gameplay is somewhat standard stuff, although there is this little spinning meter that determines what sort of attack you make. You have to press it at the right time to get a good hit... Otherwise you get a normal hit or a miss. This is used for a lot of things in the game, such as when you try to get something to work. It's kind of odd, but makes fights a little less boring. I'd pay about $20 or so for it... I wouldn't pay $50 (which is what I paid).
Sarasan
It cost $50!?!? Anyway, I agree with some of the stuff Semjaza said, but that's like, the only RPG I own. So I couldn't say that that's true or false.
Semjaza
I bought it almost a year ago at the least. It originally ran at like $40 or $50... I don't know what it costs now, but I doubt it's anywhere that much.
