They are going to put things such as Lizzie Maguire and Kim Possible in graphic novel manga form. I think that is stupid! And how can Tokyopop put their stamp on it? O.o; They're not things I would read, and I would never put them in the same category as manga. But I really can't diss Tokyopop, because I'm really liking all the good manga they're releasing. And so what if they are doing it for money? They're a company, that needs money to keep working. Let's think... If the manga doesn't bring in enough money for some reason, Tokyopop will go under, and no more manga. No one has to buy them, and if no one does... Well they'll go away. End of story. Seriously, I don't know how much manga the average person here has read... But I guarantee you that a good deal of the existing stuff is far, far worse than this will most likely turn out... especially considering Tokyopop's involvement (depending on how major or minor it is). Anime and manga aren't perfect art forms. I'll never understand the Disney hate on these boards. And [b]no[/b], I don't want an explanation. I've already read plenty of them here. Kim Possible is a good show, though. I love her outfits. They're always cute. ;) I don't understand why everyone's flaming here. The only thing that bothers me is that they will be called manga.....I JUST KNOW THEY WILL! I just don't see a point in such a deal, i mean kingdom hearts was a good thing for disney because they have great animation and it was a likely step. Now i have no hate for them doing comics but why with Tokyopop? And as was mentioned earlier, it might have been Tokyopops idea....if i can't link the article i will copy paste it. The book designs look exactly like Tokyopop graphic novels and they even have the spine design done the same way. The only diffrence between the two is the direction they are read. Most people in America know that Kim Possible and Lizzie Mcguire are Disney shows and not japanese manga. But still....I don't get this whole topic... Some of them are mega angry but im not one of them. I just dislike that things i hate are mistaken for things i love. This is a topic that would get lots of feedback so thats the purpose of the topic. And i agree with you, if you don't want to read them don't buy them. Obviously i will be one of those. Alright, I think I was being a little extreme about that. I really hate Disney , especially after Kingdom Hearts was released (How could square even put their label on it?!). Lizzie Mcguire is horrible. I probably just think that because I'm a guy, but how in the hell are they gonna make it into a comic!?!?! However, I can deal with Kim Possible. I really hate both shows, I really hate disney, and I'm getting ready to start hating Tokyopop if they make more agreements with Disney. I couldn't see LMG or KP as a manga, but trash.
