But then this morning, we awake to find these weird shapes in our yards. The whole area had them. I took several pictures, and I sent them in to the news. We've been on TV all day! I do think its awesome to see stuff like that happens. Its worth nothing else to see stuff that. I hope your lucky enough have stuff like that more often. I havent seen snow in my area ever. I moved from Va. to La. and havent seen snow since. Plus, Im a cold weather person... so I am really incomplete down here in the humid swamp. Shaun Posted February 13, 2003 Author Share Posted February 13, 2003 They explained it on the news. The snow was a sticky kind, not wet, and the wind was fierce. The snow just caught up in the wind, but was too heavy to be drifted, so it rolled over. Then the wind kept on blowing them, so they got bigger. Say what you will, but this has only happened twice on record. SO I call it an act of God. Do a search on WSAZ news channel 3. That's the news station here. They did a whole story on it. They even used the pictures mom and I took, as well as many others. Why would I have nothing better to do than to go out and roll a few hundres blocks of snow and hollow them out? Here's one up close. Look at it's path. So interesting. You look out over the range as the bus drives past, sometimes it looks like everything is under water, other times it seems its an ocean only a couple of days ago it looked as though a volcano had erupted... Its simply nature reminding us that it still is around, and that perhaps our medicore activities in life should be slowed a bit to take in the beauty of a simple flower. Its by no means, in my opinon, some sort of miracle. A couple of months back, there was this brilliantly massive spiderweb that was weaved from the leaves of a drooping branch on a tree down to the ground. It must have been about 1 foot in diameter, all the way around. It had dewed during the night, and it was shimmering in the most brilliant tone.
