Shaun
The wind howled all night last night. I wondered if it was ever going to let up. But then this morning, we awake to find these weird shapes in our yards. The whole area had them. I took several pictures, and I sent them in to the news. We've been on TV all day! They're called snow rollers. The wind made them. I consider it nothing less than the hand of God. How great and awesome this is!

PiroMunkie
I call it people with way too much time on their hands, lol. I suppose crop circles are an act of "God", too, and all those dead cows. Poor, poor cows. Easter Island, too, with those giant heads. Sure "God" had to do that, I mean, come on! This is, indeed, interesting, but there are so many possible explanations as to how those things came to be. No need to jump to conclusions. When I see them, I think of cavemen, and the whole deal with "inventing the wheel", lol. It is odd, though, because I was talking about wanting to be a caveman during lunch today... Coincedence? Probably. :p
Kent
That is some crazy stuff. I dont really think of it as an act of god, but I know you didnt literally mean that. I do think its awesome to see stuff like that happens. Its worth nothing else to see stuff that. I hope your lucky enough have stuff like that more often. I havent seen snow in my area ever. I moved from Va. to La. and havent seen snow since. Plus, Im a cold weather person... so I am really incomplete down here in the humid swamp. Loved the pictures and love the weather, appreciate it while you have it.

Frankie
as shaun said They are made by the wind im jsut wondering how they holes in the center came to be
Shaun
They explained it on the news. The snow was a sticky kind, not wet, and the wind was fierce. The snow just caught up in the wind, but was too heavy to be drifted, so it rolled over. Then the wind kept on blowing them, so they got bigger. Say what you will, but this has only happened twice on record. SO I call it an act of God. It's just His way of reminding us who look for him that he's still there. ^_^ Here's another photo to show size.
Frankie
well shaun it woul help if you told us if that was a plain ruller or.. a yard stick... pretty big in my book either way and on your theory i couldent agree with you more.. well..... ok i could ... you know me... Shaun
Theory? About how they were made? That's what the weather dude on TV said. Not me. And that's a yard stick.
TheShinje
If these "smowrollers" were made by this imginary thing they like to call "wind"* then it would affect more areas, possibly the whole ground. i would explain these "snow rollers" as an act of god too *joke, I know wind is real, but do you? I mean, have you ever seen it?
Shaun
The snow rollers were all over the southeastern part of Ohio, and some of northern west virginia. Don't believe me? Do a search on WSAZ news channel 3. That's the news station here. They did a whole story on it. They even used the pictures mom and I took, as well as many others. Frankie
no shaun your comment on this "SO I call it an act of God. It's just His way of reminding us who look for him that he's still there. ^_^" i agree
Shaun
OOooohh. I see. It's not my theory. It's my faith. The rest of you are being really big pessimists about this. It's all true. Why would I have nothing better to do than to go out and roll a few hundres blocks of snow and hollow them out? Here's one up close. Look at it's path. So interesting. For you that doubt, look at the one's in the background. There's not a single footprint around them. Still need more proof?

With regards to this being done by someone with way too much time on their hands.. to do a whole area he must have had waaaaay too much time on his hands.. and no, God didn't do the crop circle things.. apparently the aliens did.. don't you listen to conspiracy nuts?.. heh ;p
Jesus Chicken
Amen brother... I mean, sorry, I don't believe it's the hand of god at work... But then again, if you believe in god, then you probably believe he created the world, and so on and so forth, so really anything that happenned, is a work of god. Sorry. I think it's cool, but I don't think it's anything to go crazy about.
liamc2
You people have obviously never seen the sights on the New England Highway after it's been foggy. You look out over the range as the bus drives past, sometimes it looks like everything is under water, other times it seems its an ocean only a couple of days ago it looked as though a volcano had erupted... We have some beautiful meteorological wonders here, pity I never have a camera to show you guys...

DeathKnight
I think every one of us have seen some sort of sight that has shocked, suprised, or touched us to the point that it really is something that we define as an "act of God", but perhaps not as literal as that implies. Its simply nature reminding us that it still is around, and that perhaps our medicore activities in life should be slowed a bit to take in the beauty of a simple flower. Its by no means, in my opinon, some sort of miracle. A couple of months back, there was this brilliantly massive spiderweb that was weaved from the leaves of a drooping branch on a tree down to the ground. It must have been about 1 foot in diameter, all the way around. It had dewed during the night, and it was shimmering in the most brilliant tone. It was really a sight to behold. ^_^ This snowrolling thing looks really cool, hehe. Could you pick them up?
Lady Macaiodh
Yeah, it was madly windy yesterday in Virginia (isn't that where you said some others showed up?) so I doubt anyone did this on purpose. Plus, like you said, no footprints. I think you should listen to Justin. God does give us all types of little surprises to remind us of the wonderful imagination he has. Just look at the platypus.
