Corey
I went to school today stoked. I was going to give my girlfriend a dozen roses and a teddy bear. It was great. We hugged and held eachother for almost ten minutes. I get into second hour and an announcement comes on. One of our AP's told the school about a classmate of ours. He commited suicide last night. I knew him. He was a good friend. We shared a semester in Swim class together. That's a bond that should never be broken. I got together with a bunch of friends and cried. Everyone that I cried with had known him too. Everyone was really down today. Basically I wanted to make this thread so that he wouldn't be forgotten. I will never forget him. And I welcome any suggestions you all have on getting over this. Rest In Peace Derek Grady 9th Grade
Barra Maral
Well, I may not know of any ways to help get over it, as I have never lost anyone like that, but I will say that I am very sorry for your loss and I am here if you need to talk. KittyLynn
Same. Need to talk and I'll be here. Maybe if you think that he'll always be there, you'll eventually get over it. And remember he killed himself, he wanted it that way. Maybe this could help..
Rhys Mayiessen
I think you should just remember all the good things that he did in life and maybe how he brought joy to others. I have never really had anyone I know committ suicide but I have heard about it. When I was a lot younger I heard about a guy in the high school I'm going to now committ suicide at the ravine near the school. My neighbors did know him and I know they were very sad about it. I am very sorry for your loss.

Corey
I got a little more info from a few friends since I posted this... He aparenty asked one of my other frineds out to the movies last night. She declined. He then injected himself with of heroin and shot himself... Perhaps he was so out of it that he didn't know what he was doing. *sigh* What's done is done... It is going to take a while but I will get over it. And thanks to all that offered to talk. JJ
In a way I know the sadness you might be going through. One of the most popular and friendly girls in the school left today and nobody had anythign to say all day it was hugs and presents. I mean it was hard for everybody. Man anyway dude that sucks. Maybe he didn't know what life held in store for him. I dunno but i hope everyone can forgive him!

James
It's so horrible and tragic when someone so young dies; especially when they die in this way. I don't know what else I can say, except that I hope you can find the support and comfort you need from your friends and family.
bra
I am soo sorry about your loss. It reminds me of one of my good friends when we were going to school. It was really hard to get over because I was the one trying to talk him out of it. His girlfriend broke up with him on the 18th of this month and he called me up. I was on the phone trying to talk him out of it but he hung up on me and the next day, I found out he died pretty close to the time that he hung up on me... I feel for you and I will pray for your loss of a friend. If you need to talk, PM me and I will be here for ya. :) Cynthia...

Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
I'm really sorry to hear that DarkOrderKnight nothing is worst then losing a good friend in such a tragic sad way. Just honor his memory the best you can, and remember all the good times you had with him and such. It won't be easy to get over but at least in doing so you really will be letting your friend live on through memories. My apologies once again. :(
L.A. Rod.
I kind of feel like a prick writing in this post, as I am unable to empathize, but I can say that I hope this is the hardest part of your grief and I hope you get better soon. Try to remember and learn from this.
vegeta rocker
Nothing about death ever makes sense, you long for it and when you have it no one is happy. That truly bites about your friend, and sorry to say it was on Valentines Day. Caring for someone can make us do stupid things. I would worry about the friend he asked out, i can't imagine what she is going through. Don' t forget, there is never just one victim.
Char!
I can't say I knew him as well as DOK did, but we talked a few times. Sometimes he'd stand with us outside after school and just chill by the tree. ...but not anymore. When I actually said that out loud to myself, it fully hit me, and I cried. What makes me mad is that today everything seemed back to normal. Much too soon... *cries* --Mike "char, char!"

nezzyjean
That's very sad. I am sorry for your loss. Try to remember him for all the good stuff he did, not for the way he died. Once again, that is sooooo sad, and I hope you and your other friends can feel better about your loss soon.
Corey
Originally posted by black cat 2 So many people expriese thier feelings on here including me so don't be afriad to.
If I were afraid to, I would have never made this topic. I went to his mass on tuesday. There were so many people. I had never seen a line outside of a funeral parlor to the street for three hours straight. I got up to the casket, looked at him, and broke down. It didn't look like him. I overheard a member of his family saying he got plastic surgery. When he shot himself, he must have done it in the face. It made me cry, again. Not for the first, or last, that night. *sigh* Unfortunately, I see no more reason to keep this thread open. All it's acumulating is sympathy and offers to listen. Thankyou to all who spread their hearts to me and Derek.
GroundXero
Just think about it like this He soars of seas of pearl streets of gold His glides upon the peaceful winds of Heaven He smiles into Jesus face And watches down on us all. I hope read this helps heal some of the pain but, I know that some wounds can never be mended.
Lady Asphyxia
Well, this thread is probably out of date, but I'm going to post anyway. Why did he commit suicide? Were there big reasons, or lots of little ones? Or was there no apparent reason? Were you really close to him? How did your girlfriend react? Is she just as upset? You have her to help work things through, and vice versa. Eep...chances are, I'll come across all unemotional in here, but "I'm sorry" has already been said, so I'm not going to repeat it. Sincerity is best, in this *points to her questions* is my sincere sympathy. I'm less than eloquent when being sympathetic, so...*shrugs* I'll leave now.
